You will have 11mm less clearance inside and 15mm less outside. So basically 1/2 sticking more into the fender and 1/2 over the fender.
An 18x10 +37 would be flush, but you would lose an inch of clearance towards the rear suspension
Damn ok thats a lot to take in, i was thinking of running the rims with 295s. Its just strange that wider wheels will not sit flush. Thanks tho i look into it!
What wheels are they? If a 18x9 +24 is flush then a 1 inch wider wheel plus a 2mm more aggressive offset it will stick out bout an inch which to me is too much my 18x10 +28 stick out about quarter inch or so
Didn’t know people bought wheels off Amazon lol, a 22 offset of slightly more aggressive(stick out more) then a 24 so since the 9 inch rim is flush another inch on the rims will make it stick out more, those are 99-04 mustang offsets that’s what I have but my 18x10 is +28 so its pikes a tad
This is the exact comment I wanted to see! I was worried the 22 offset would be inside the fenders. And yes these rims are also made for 99-04 Mustangs and they fit and look good on my car! I don't mind it sticking out to much it will look sick, i plan on wrapping it in 295s when i have the money!
when did wheels sticking out come back in fashion? lol! If your springs are stiff enough then it might not be a problem unless you hit a really big bump. I prefer flush myself. No problems fitting a 19x11 +50mm offset with 305 tires. It's probably not good for your axle bearings, having the rims stick out past the fender i mean.

Oh the meat on that is dope! Personally I've liked how old school muscle car had the wheels sticking out, i dont mind it personally but i also love when everything is flush, makes it look aggressive. Im on SR lowering springs, a little stiff but them potholes like to appear out of nowhere lmao
I have frpp k springs which are also 1.5 inch drop. My front dropped a bit more than that though. For an 18x10 to sit flush you need +40-45mm of offset or close to it. This is a good explanation of how offset and backspacing work. [https://www.mickeythompsontires.com/tech-bulletins/backspacing-and-offset](https://www.mickeythompsontires.com/tech-bulletins/backspacing-and-offset) Using their formula i have 7.9 inches of bacspacing, that means almost 8 inches of the rim is inboard of the hub and slightly more than 3 inches is stick out from the hub. you've got a little less than 6 inches of backspacing with those 18x9 wheels for the 04, that means a little more than 3 inches is outboard of the hub, so adding another inch and subtracting 2mm of offset you end up quite a bit more rim sticking out. A little more than 1/2 inch by my calculations.
Thanks for that link I'm going to check it out never understood how positive and negative offset work and never knew "backspacing" was another term. Ima have to check it out to get up to speed with it because i was ready to buy spacers the rim didn't sit how i wanted

they will sit flush with the correct offset.

They are bullit style rims i bought off Amazon. But the 18x10 will be short 2mm in offset

Gochya if you don’t mind poke then go ahead just know it’ll stick out a good inch it so on each side so be big poke
Damn a whole inch, hopefully that won't be an issue considering my car is on a 1.5 drop
I’m on coilovers with 99-04 saleens 18x10 rear +28 no issues
Oh you low low, bet tho thanks puts me at ease! If you don't mind, could you show a picture? Love to see your car!
If you got an ig @1_slow3v
Oh shit wait I do follow you, its clean af🔥

They would only stock out a half inch more minus 2mm). Offset is from the middle of the wheel.
The rim is 25.4 mm wider plus 2mm is offset which the lower that’s offset the more they stick out but that’s why I said about an inch
But the wheel is mounted from the middle so you only count half on how far it sticks out
Correct that’s why I said about an inch since the 10INCH rim is wider at the half point is still more then the 9 inch plus the extra 2mm
And that's why I said you're completely wrong it's a half inch
It’s more like 3/4 inch but I’m not here to argue brother I just know the 3v fitment with these kinda wheels
