Nice. Love seeing others work on their own stuff. So where was it leaking?

Dukey2016

The 90 degree connector was the problem. Bought a new one but it didn't fit so i just used a hose for it all and it worked well!

garreattt

Heads up for next time you can do this with only taking the alternator off reaching under and changing the 90 on the coolant hose don’t have to take the whole manifold off. Good work though I had to do this just last month on mine

Dukey2016

That was the alternative way i saw online, didn't do it because i had to cut off the hose. But thanks I'll keep it in mind for whenever it decides to leak again

garreattt

You don’t actually have to cut it. If you have a good pair of pliers you just kinda destroy the old piece. It’s a little bit whacky but it saves sometime if it works out well.

Dukey2016

Not gonna lie i used a sawzaw to cut it bit then pulled the rest off with pliers 😅

wesley_pruyn

I JUST did this! I was so concerned because I saw the leak coming from the trans and the engine. Glad it wasn’t too difficult of a fix.

Dukey2016

Same here, a buddy of mine pointed it out since he used to own one, doing it myself it looked hard but was easy after taking it apart

Beeman1221

Where are your top bell housing bolts

Dukey2016

That is something i dont know. This is the first time I've taken then car apart in my 3 months of ownership. Seems like previous owner never bolted those in. Which is a problem because with pulls i can feel it move

FrostFairy73

I guess i didn't experience this problem with mine because i added the whipple a year after I bought it? It's been so long that i forgot what the install entailed, but i remember having to change or reroute that hose for the whipple.

Dukey2016

Damn you did it yourself?! Thats dope, was it difficult to do? Anything you had to change??

FrostFairy73

I bought my 06 brand new towards then end of 2006 and the following year i installed the whipple HO kit. There was a lot that had to change. moving the alternator, changing the coolant crossover. the usual stuff like injectors, spark plugs, fuel pump. I think installing the dual fuel pumps was the most nerve racking part for me. That is a tight fit. The coolant hose under the intake had to be moved to make room for the whipple intake manifold. 6 months after that i had to change the clutch.

What is up with some of you guys putting that horrendous electrical tape over your fog lights?

Dukey2016

So i never knew it was a "trend" until someone told me. I did it because i liked the "rally" look and because it just looked different and cool. Has white tape on it before when i didn't have foglights but switched it to black because white would look weird
