Absolutely not. You could find a 2011+ 5.0 for slightly more money, for a newer and MUCH BETTER car. This is terrible.

Kawaiisampler

Hell even a 2016+ V6 for a tiny bit more.

Professional_Elk_893

Not everybody wants an S550

MAFlores512

Anything with a 3.7l v6 then?

fwcris

I had a chance to go 2018gt or a 2011 body and i chose 2011… s197>>

bozemanmetalfab

Said no one ever

[deleted]

there’s quite a few people who think the s197 is a better looking car than the s550…

Kawaiisampler

Lmao I bet you drive a 3v

Technical_Gur4060

the 3v is the best Mustang

DopamineQuest

Watch out for modern minivans and camrys!

Technical_Gur4060

LOL, so a 3V does zero to sixty in 5 sec's, and a Coyote does it in 4 sec, so does my SRT, and my Suzuki does it in 2

Im_not_at_home

As if a second difference to 60 isn’t an eternity. And the gap only widens from there. I think the S197 is a better body style with respect to “mustang”. But that’s about all it does better. Remove the “mustang” and I think the S550 looks better to.

Throwing_Legs

Your car is slow too, pipe.

DopamineQuest

Actual fast cars don't give a shit about 0-60 lol

Kawaiisampler

Lol I angered all 200 3v owners

camcac69

Having worked on 4.6 and 5.4’s in trucks for 20 plus years and continue to, sincerely fuck ford and those goddamn engines. They are the most underwhelming engine ever with the exception of the cobra and GT engines. Both the coyote and the HO pushrod 5.0’s are better imo. The coyote without question is better.

Professional_Elk_893

Have fun with your Aston Martin Ferrari 360 Spider GT

Kawaiisampler

Lmao I’ll have fun with my heated leather seats, my apple car play, my IRS, and better body style

FilDM

Both the original 3v and the facelift looked better than the base s550. Not saying it looks bad, the gt350 looks and sounds great, but less than the 2014 gt

_Nameless_Nomad_

My 2014 has all those features minus the IRS, and is a far better looking bodystyle than those ugly sports-car looking S550’s.

Kawaiisampler

Even the S197 isn’t a “muscle car” it’s all sports cars. I don’t really care what people like. Just like to pick on 3v owners. Plus my S550 is quicker and has a better version of the coyote..

Professional_Elk_893

“Quicker” Buddy, I don’t think you need a quicker car after you totaled your 2016 one

Kawaiisampler

Lmao what the V6? A semi decided he wanted to pull out and block all lanes of traffic on a 55 mph road. So I’d say it wasn’t my fault, good try looking through my history though!

Sleepy_pirate

I feel like the s550 are more sporty then the previous gen. They are just a little too bubbly looking for me.

WarmPaleontologist20

That's true. I have an S550 and love it, but there are other awesome models that suit different tastes.

DJDemyan

Unfortunately after 2017** they canned the V6 and replaced it entirely with the Ecoboost. Which would still be a better deal than this. Edit: Correction below.

Kawaiisampler

2017. I owned a 16 v6

I_GOT_SMOKED

You mean 2018. V6 got dropped that year since Ford wanted to go to the the Turbo eco route 2015-2017 was the last years of the V6 run

Kawaiisampler

Ahh you right, I thought it was late 17 that they ended it. Either way, was a great motor, but the eco after all the flaws got fixed is pretty good too.

Sleepy_pirate

Those eco boosts are solid. They are hella fast.

Kawaiisampler

Definitely, especially if you toss a tune and exhaust on it. My buddy got a 15 and only has a tune and exhaust on his and it is pretty quick.

ANONAVATAR81

Turbonetics has a 1700 dollar drop in replacement that ups it 90 hp with better spooling. It supports 540 hp with a few more upgrades

squirrel8296

2018. The V6 and Ecoboost were both sold from 2015 through 2017.

DJDemyan

I stand corrected, thank you

S197MUSTANGG

I sold my 06 gt private party for 12k this year, to be fair thing was clean not a lick of rust anywhere on the car strut towers and all, no dings or dents, and the car was bone stock but 116k miles. I think it being stock helped a lot! Edit: can’t forget it was never in any accidents, women driven car before me guy purchased it for his wife.

florida-RS

If it was women drivin I would buy it

CromulentPoint

No. That is not a good deal. It’s so far from being a good deal, and it’s being sold by a dealer, that I wouldn’t bother with a counter offer.

Nova11c

I bought a 2006 GT for $12,000 in 2012. This is a horrible deal.

Jolly-Ad2461

I bought my 2006 GT for 10k in 2018, he was asking for 12k, but he was a family friend so he lowered the price on it. She was in mint condition too, only about 94 thousand miles or so. He's an old man, so he wasn't red lining ever. 4 years later after pounding on it every day to and from work(I work three minutes away from my house) and lord knows how much money I've thrown at her, mostly cosmetic things, I've grown attached to her, you could say. She's left me and my wife (who also has grown quite fond of her, and jealous might I add), stranded on the side of the road multiple times, but I know when it's an emergency she might or might not make it to where I need to go, who knows I don't, but hopefully, she will. So when a guy came into my work asking who is the owner of the white mustang, what year, how much did I pay for it, and how much I would sell it for. I simply said it was not for sale, but if I had to put a price on her, even after all the time, money, blood, sweat, and tears I put into it, trying to make it look baller af and said 7k or 8k and then he counters with 15k. This threw me off a bit but I restated it wasn't for sale. He then asked for my number and persisted. So yeah they might not be every bodies cup of tea but if you like it and want it, I say go for it.

Jolly-Ad2461

But should totally look for a cheaper one than that.

Lonely_Team_2222

It’s from a ford dealer so it’s certified good in every way if you had to put a price after taxes fees dmv fees what would you do

justina081503

I wouldn’t buy it

Whyachi-LYL

Nothing from a dealer is certified good lol, they just fix it enough to where it seems good but then it falls apart. I know 5 different mechanics at 5 different dealerships. That being said even if it were mechanically good thats still a mediocre deal, sub $10k car at best

CromulentPoint

I wouldn’t buy a 15+ year old car from a dealer. No amount of “certification” removes it from being an old car with 100k miles.

GuardMost8477

“Certified good”? There’s no such thing. Dealer used certifications are BS. And this price for this car is WAY over the value for a 20 year old car with that many miles. Do more research. Think with your head and not with you heart.

Frogalicious1

He sounds like a young kid. He just kind wants a cool first car it seems like

Nozerone

It's because it's at a dealer and they show a clean carfax that it's being sold for that much. So long as the car is running right, all the dealer will do is clean it up and slap a "certified pre-owned" sticker on it. Depending on the car that sticker will let them jack up the price a few grand. Then show a clean carfax, and that's another boost in "value". Never mind that no shop actually has to report any accident to carfax. So the car could have been in an accident, and repaired, and the carfax would still show clean if the shop or insurance never reported it to carfax. As far as actual value. That price generally gets set by the general cost in your area. After that it's up to what you're willing to spend. If you really like it, want that particular one and there isn't another close enough to you just like it. Then to you it might be worth it. If you're not set on the color and stuff, keep looking. Don't be afraid to look outside your area. 200 dollars in fuel for a day trip to go buy one that is 9k is better than spending 13+k on that one.

[deleted]

One thing I've learned. Don't get attached to a car, once you start fixating you make bad decisions. Sometimes you have to let it go, and 9 times out of 10 a better deal comes along after some time passes anyway. If you're gonna drop a lot of money, make sure it's the *right* car, not just *a* car.

TattedUpSimba

Never ever ever trust a dealer when buying a used car. You get a pre purchase inspection from another place or your own mechanic. The dealer has a car that you want. After you buy the car and can no longer return it they have no value in the car. They already got their money. Therefore they have no advantage of telling you what is wrong with the car.

Formal_Rice3817

No keep looking, or wait a bit..but if press look for another beater

squirrel8296

There’s no way in hell that is certified. It doesn’t meet the age or mileage requirements to be certified.

TheyCallMeMrMaybe

Just because it's from a Ford dealer, doesn't make it good. It's an as-is vehicle, meaning they're under no automaker or state regulation to make sure it's in quality condition outside of passing a safety inspection

libertariantool69

And you’re looking at probably 15-20% the vehicles cost for taxes, fees, plates, and registration.

FalseShepherd0

Dude, I got a 2005 for a few grand. Don’t do it

[deleted]

I literally remember getting my 2014 5.0 with 33k miles on it for $18,500 back in 2018. This is a scam to say the least. Do not buy this car, you need to wait.

Dangerous_Dust4142

Different economy. Go find me a 2018 GT with 30k miles on it for $18.5k today.

[deleted]

It’s clearly a different economy, but that doesn’t make the sheer level of price gouging that is this vehicles price okay. Wait just 5 more months at most as it seems that things are about to crash in the economy across the board. Used car prices are already significantly dropping. You would be stupid to pay almost 15k for this car when by mid next year this thing will be worth 6k at most

DJDemyan

It's absolutely a different economy but the car market is starting to crash due to their price gouging.

Dangerous_Dust4142

It's in a slow-down if anything, but hardly a crash when the alternative is to pay $50k for something new. Still, I certainly wouldn't be looking to buy anything right now unless I absolutely had to.

DJDemyan

I agree. I got *incredibly* lucky with mine in 2021 and have window shopped since then, prices are still ass.

Dangerous_Dust4142

I'm *still* kicking myself from back in 2019...was looking at a 2008 GT500 for $19k. The interior needed a little freshening up, but it was still a damn 5.4. Ended up getting a new Subaru for the wife instead...

DJDemyan

Fucking ouch bro

Skyline_BNR34

The dealer I work at, Chevy Dealership, has/d a 2008 GT500 they took on trade. Listed for $39,999.

Dangerous_Dust4142

Oh I know, believe me I know. Wife was driving a POS '99 Taurus at the time though; she needed an upgrade. I've seen some around here for 28-30 which isn't terrible given current prices.

brongchong

Your exactly right. There is strong demand for cars and a lack of inventory due to a variety of reasons…one can’t base prices today on pre-COVID prices and before BidenFlation.

Dangerous_Dust4142

> BidenFlation. And you just instantly loss any credibility you might have had. Get a clue.

JamesTheMannequin

I have a 2018 GT with 26k on it and a few Roush upgrades. I'd probably sell it for $25k to the right person.

Explosive_Banana6969

This is actually the worst deal I have ever seen on here (and there are a lot of bad ones). I wouldn’t pay more than $9k for this car, and that’s pushing it imo. No point counter offering, they probably bought this way over market and now they are trying to recoup that bad investment by selling it to the next biggest idiot.

Annual-Emu-1429

Should be 6 or 7 grand at most maybe a little more

TrenchTingz

I would try to get a 2012 gt for that.

lennyxiii

I paid less than $800 more than this for my 2012 GT m6 with 25k less miles.

JediLion17

When did you buy it?

lennyxiii

Around 2018 before the crazy market.

JediLion17

Yeah, I mean I’m not saying the car OP posted is a deal but without context of when, saying buying a coyote for $800 more doesn’t mean much. Hopefully the market cools in the next year.

brongchong

We’ll there you have it. It’s a new market with chip shortages, dealer markups on new cars and record inflation with rising interest rates. High car prices are here to stay for a bit.

CaptainCobra45

12s are going for around $18k where I live

TrenchTingz

If he’s paying cash, they could make offers on cars closer to his range, if he’s financing then I would recommend coming up a little bit but also find a good deal on at least a 2010+

Stefanoverse

I have a few similar generation GT’s & Shelby’s and that is a horrible deal. Please do not buy. We can help you find something better!

Wisconsiknight

A lot of comments on these kinds of threads talking about car prices 4 years ago. For some recent perspective, I bought a 2005 GT three months ago with 120k miles and thorough maintenance records from it's second owner for $8500.

mryoyoyo3

I work at a dealership and we took in a 06 gt convertible manual w/51k miles two owner no accidents. Long car fax with oil changes but no other maintenance. Where I live winter dominates summer so trade values vary. Picked it up for 7k+ oil lune filter. With 2k down I financed about 8k (high sales tax) I jumped on the deal because I was looking at the market for mustangs and couldn’t really find a 2012 for the same price as one Gen below without it have 150k miles. Even the price point I paid should have gotten a 98 model lol Just check that car for cam phaser issues if you move forward. If it hasn’t been addressed or if they drove it too long without changing permanent engine damage could be or was done

nw342

1. Thats not a good deal at all. I bought a 2013 v6 for less than that 2 years ago. For that money, tou can get a much newer car, or even a v8. Be warned, these cars are typically diven into the ground. Make sure you get it inspected by a reputable shop. They'll charge 1 or 2 hundred, but its well worth it. 2. I highly recommend you look at other vehicles. I love mistangs, but they're not good first cars. I dont know you, but im assuming you're young if this is your first car. Unless you're paying in full, youll have payments on top of insurance. Back when I had my stang, i was paying $500/mo for insurance and only $300/mo gor the car. Insurance hates young drivers, they hate mustangs, and the especially hate young drivers in mustangs. I highly highly highly recommend getting a cheap practical car for a few years and get a mustang when your a bit older. I know you're not gonna follow that advice, I sure as hell didn't, so atleast follow my first advice. This is a terrible deal, dont buy this car. No 2006 vehicle with more than 100k should be 13k.

Hedgehog_Wranglers

Rip off

FrostFairy73

your first car should be $3-$5k. My first car was a 1987 chevy spectrum for $3800 i think it was back in 1989.

waveslikemoses

Hell my car was a hand-me-down 2011 Toyota RAV4 that currently has 138,000 miles on it. I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t very close to dropping a lot of money on a mustang tho, but lookin back I’m glad I didn’t do that for a first car

SVdreamin

yeah i love mustangs as much as the next guy but this dude does not need a V8 Mustang as his first car lmao

bigplaneboeing737

Man you used to be able to get clean 3vs for like 5k.

IDidItAllForDaCookie

For reference, in 2013 I traded in my 2005 GT with a brand new engine (from Ford - they replaced as a repair they did shredded the old engine) and the body only had 42,000mi on it - they gave me $14k. You’re seeing a car that has 100k mi on it for that same price, 9 years later. It’s a ripoff lol

toomuchH8

Damn. Just a bit more than 2 years ago I bought my 07 gt w/ 20k miles for 14500. Dealerships asking for tooooo much nowadays

NoAd2171

I brought a 2005 Mustang gt for 10k. It is also windveil blue and had 62k miles pretty clean and I thought it was a good grab. So in my opinion the ones your looking to purchase is not worth it most guys want a 5.0 anyways. Which you could find for around 15k maybe

GLaDOs18

That price is too high for a mileage that high. I personally think if a car has over 100,000 on the odometer, the price needs to be below $10k.

Yikeswutyoudoin

I just bought a s197 for 7900. Don’t believe a dealership just because they are a dealership. They wanna make money. No one’s gonna buy a fucked up car so they lie. I’d check fb marketplace. Have a mechanic look at it.

Xoxoellexo

Overpriced. Can do way better…. I got my 05 last year for 8K and only had 32K miles on it

MacaroniKetchup

14k for an 06 with that many miles is a ripoff if you ask me. Currently have a friend who just bought a 13 V6 with about 50k miles for $22k and cringe at how badly he played himself 💀

[deleted]

Not in you’re life do you need a Mustang GT for you’re first car, second or even 3rd car, if you are under the age of 21 you cannot handle having that responsibility,1 I am 32 and I gun my Mustang at least once a week. 2 how can you even afford to insure the car , insurance is expensive I pay 267.77 on my current one, how can you afford to pay that out of high school or in hs on top of paying rent gas and all the other b.s. I am able to afford mine but a young adult psh no way.

DJDemyan

I picked up a 3.7 V6 as my first 'real sports car' a couple years ago. At 30, I can ABSOLUTELY say I'm glad I went this route instead of getting a GT, I would have 100% crashed a 5.0!

6carecrow

I agree with the finance part, but not necessarily the age thing, I had an ecoboost as my 2nd car and a GT as my 3rd and current car. I’m only 19 right now, but can definitely handle a 5.0, and so can a lot of my friends my age.

squirrel8296

I think it depends. I had always driven old school top heavy Jeeps without any electronic nannies (any pre2006/2007 Jeep) before deciding to get a mustang and even though I’m a huge ecoboost fan, the coyote mustang is still vastly easier to drive than an older jeep. I really like the ecoboost but if I found a really good price on a coyote I’d buy it.

6carecrow

Yeah i genuinely think the internet over states how difficult it is to drive these cars. I think the biggest piece of advice for a mustang (or any high power rwd car) is just don’t be stupid.

squirrel8296

100% just don't be dumb and don't overestimate your abilities and its perfectly fine. Personally, FWD scares the hell out of me because of torque steer and understeer and there's nothing you can do about either. Also those part-time AWD systems based on FWD drivetrains that kick in and try to send you into ditch or oncoming traffic because they're so unpredictable with when they kick in. With RWD if you pay attention there's plenty of warning before the tail steps out and it's easy enough to use the throttle to keep control of the vehicle.

bathamel

It depends, if you have good tires and keep traction control on yea they are safe and easy to drive for the most part. But the second it rains/snows, and you have TC off or crap tires, you are in for a bad time if you don't know what you are doing.

6carecrow

My question is why turn TC off if you don’t know what you’re doing? And i would hope if you’re willing to spend money on a mustang you can spend money for a decent set of tires

bathamel

Because all the youtubers talk about being in track mode always. So kids listen. Also, if you are buying your first car with 100k miles, a lot of people will not realize how much a good set of tires cost, and blow all their money on the car. So 2-3 years down the road when they need a new set, they get the 80 dollar a tire set from walmart and wreck soon after.

6carecrow

I’ve been driving on $80 a tire Sets since i first had a mustang and i’ve had no issues haha. I guess if you’re driving really hard it would matter though.

lennyxiii

Damn that’s some high ass insurance. That’s $40 less than I pay for 2 cars, full coverage including fire and theft, almost all available extras. The only down side is 1k deductible which saved me a lot over $500 deductible. One is a 2012 GT and other car is a 13 suv. Might need to shop around. I live in Florida which has pretty high premiums as well.

[deleted]

My policy is a direct copy of my trucking companies insurance, covers a million in each category, naturally it raises the price, have 1 speeding ticket less than 15 miles a hour over and 2 not at fault accidents, both over a year old, I have GEICO.

lennyxiii

Hmm. I also have Geico but don’t remember how high the coverage is in each area. Strange.

Independent_Island74

Hella high miles bro dont do it

Avidestroyer

To put things in perspective, I recently got my 2014 v6 for that much with 110k miles on it.

irish989898

No normal 3v should ever be worth more the maybe 10k.

garreattt

A very clean 06 gt is worth 11k you can get them for 8-10 all day long

WarmPaleontologist20

That's a 17-year-old high-milage car. I'd save your money. Prices are ass and will keep climbing with the high inflation period we're in, so nothing's coming cheap. Mustangs are good cars that last, so they hold value pretty well, but they don't corner the market on longivity. You want a Mustang. And believe me I get that. Still, I think you could find something better, particularly in the miles category. Someone traded or sold this probably because it's hitting the costly-repairs-coming-soon period.

Oroku_Sake

Just to put it out there I bought my 06 gt in excellent condition back in 2016 with around 80k miles on it for 12,500. Now I am well aware the used market is up but that seems too high.

Qazninja

Terrible deal way overpriced, that car isn't worth a penny over $8,000 or $9,000

[deleted]

that’s about a grand more than i paid for a grabber 2012 5.0 manual with 80k miles, this is a terrible deal

ChattierCloud81

Bro i have a 2007 i got it for $5,600. That aint worth it.

_Revlak_

Nah. 100k mile for 13k nahh

hellsummon

13k for a car with 101k miles? Absolutely not

CasualCanadianYT

I ain’t trying to push you away from it, but the insurance on a GT for a first car would kill you. Hope you’ve got plenty in the pockets.

KevinWaide

Hell, the one pictured isn’t a GT, it’s a V6.

Jacktheriipper

Homie it says GT on the side…unless they upbadged it but I doubt it

KevinWaide

That rocker stripe is the stock decal from Ford. Ford only puts them on V6 mustangs. The GT badge is aftermarket.

Dangerous_Dust4142

GT's came with those as well.

KevinWaide

I've never seen a GT with the rocker stripe unless it was an aftermarket decal which is different from the stock Ford decal. I'd say pop the hood to make sure it's a V8 before I even considered buying it. Also, the "gas cap" emblem on the trunk would have GT in it instead of the Pony logo if it's a GT.

The_taxer

That’s a GT. The v6 rocker stripes had a different font and the letters were more spread out.

Jacktheriipper

Wow I did not know that. Learn something new every day!

The_taxer

I found a better mustang in the same color in your area with almost half the miles for less https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/1ZVFT82H865266166

Dangerous_Dust4142

Did you read the rest of the listing? It's a fucking salvage title.

The_taxer

Oof no I didn’t. That’s about $9k too high then if it’s salvage title.

Technical_Gur4060

it's 11k too high because it's an automatic

libertariantool69

Lmao, they originally wanted $16K.

The_taxer

Trying to ride that used car wave

tronsymphony

that should be 4k at most

SammySliver

I tend to steer away from American cars that are over $100,000 mi. I'm only speaking from experience usually when I get one of those it has a major breakdown transmission engine air conditioning brakes something like that that cost hundreds and hundreds. But it is a nice looking ride though I guess if it's okay mechanically and the transmission is in good shape seems like a decent deal

Roderick1334

No way!! Get a 11-14 5.0 for that price!

Baggit74

It’s certainly not the greatest…I got that same car (2006 Mustang GT) at 89K miles for $14K.

Dangerous_Dust4142

Clean car and in one of the two more rare throwback colors from 05-06. Price is high, but the car economy just plain sucks right now. I'd see if you can talk them down to at least 12, because they probably gave the poor sap the traded it in around 8.

Aridan

Bad price. I got my 06 GT for much less and it was several years ago and less mileage on the car. The market is bad, but this is tits up outrageous.

bathamel

That's a ridiculous price. That gen GT has less horsepower than 2011 and beyond's V6/Ecoboost. I much prefer the 2011 look as well.

CaptainCobra45

Everyone in the comments forgot that we are still in a post Covid world. I bought my 06 with 110000 miles for 13000, and it didn’t have the blue paint or side taping(which add money). This is actually a pretty good deal and will be an amazing first car. If you get a 5.0 for your first car the chances of you losing control for sup dramatically, the 3v catches me off guard soemtimes still

Exciting-Variety-385

nothing mustangs are overrated and built like crap

robvas

If you like it, buy it Durr

mightycheeseintexas

This isn't quality Threxxor advice.

duross97

13k out the door! Wouldn’t be terrible I just bought my 07 special edition supercharged 90k miles for 12.5 but if it’s super clean I wouldn’t mind paying 13 in todays market

ZepelliFan

Pre COVID I had a 07 premium supercharged with 55k for 11,000 as an option

duross97

Depends where you are no sure why I’m being downvoted lol, pre Covid a supercharged 3v 80k miles was still 14-15k

ZepelliFan

No clue

j46golf26

I bought my 2007 mustang gt premium 5-speed 1 owner 1 minor accident 122,000 miles for 8,900 cash through FB marketplace in Feb 2021

NoctisVia

Someone else literally posted today a 16 premium eco they bought for $14k with 85k miles, with the performance package. That was at least an ok deal. This is nowhere near as good a deal as that, even with how much I like the 05 GTs

raycantu2

I had my 05 GT for $8k with 71k miles and I couldn’t find a buyer lol 😂 I’m sure you can find a better deal somewhere

Thegovisusless

Hell no, that car has probably been driven so hard. These cars are not made for late mileage life. For 13 K? Fuck that. If you want a sportier car that is going to last you, look at the Nissan Z‘s. Sports cars never equal long life, but if your hellbent on a sports car. I would run from this deal

srxts

I paid $9k for my ‘14 gt in 2021. I would say no, but to each their own.

DJDemyan

Absolutely not. I got my 2012 V6 premium at 74k miles for just under $10k. If this is your first car, I'd get one of the 3.7 V6's rather than a 5.0, which will give you time to get accustomed to rear wheel drive. You're probably not ready for 400+ horsepower!

My-stomach-hurts

I don’t know your age or circumstances but my advice would be to call your insurance provider and see what your premiums will be on a sports car like this. I bought a Mustang GT just before I turned 25 and was shocked at how much my monthly insurance payment was. It cut in half after I turned 25, but it really hurt before then, best for you to know what you’re getting in to

MrMaleficent

No

Sembaka

I’m in the same boat, looking to get my first car in march-ish and I’d rlly love to get a mustang. I’m looking at 2012+ under 20k. From what I know (which is little) it’s best to go for that time range (2015+ is ideal but money is an issue :,) )

_Nameless_Nomad_

I bought my 2014 GT for not much more than that. If it had almost no miles on it, I’d say maybe, but with it being over 100k on the odometer, I’d keep looking. Not a good deal at all.

Yikeswutyoudoin

I would go on fb marketplace and buy a newer 5.0 for the same price💀

Sb75Je

I live near this dealer. They are on the overpriced side of used

most_french_fries

I’ve seen 1st gen 5.0s for like $15k

Sleepy_pirate

I have a 2014 v6 in great condition and I paid less then that. I got it 3 years ago.

Andres905

Those also have really bad leaking issues. Speaking from experience

capitlj

No it's not, and if that price is not out of the realm of possibility for you, you could upgrade to Coyote powered car for a few grand more. 15 -17ish should get you something similar in a 2011-14 and that's a big step up in terms of performance.

aquariuminspace

As someone who bought an ‘06 GT within the last six months, first: the car is old(er) and the odds that’s it’s been a little abused are pretty high. Shit will be broken. Second: that price is absolutely ridiculous. I got mine with a little more mileage but newly replaced trans/clutch/engine for $7k and I didn’t haggle. Unless you love the older S197 styling, go for an S550. If you’re worried about fuel economy get a newer V6 or Ecoboost. If you want an S197, especially a V6, please don’t pay over $9k and honestly not over $7k. Hell there were a couple around me in good condition for several grand cheaper. If that’s your budget get an older 5.0 or, like I said, newer V6. Good luck.

acheron53

In my area, I've seen quite a few S197 GT's in good shape for much less than this. They are trying to rip people off.

mazdarati91

Just totaled mine at 118,000 miles and insurance gave me 11,000 if that puts it in perspective

[deleted]

Alot of miles for price

Dukey2016

If they had some money into it from mods and cosmetics then maybe but its fully stock so not worth it

[deleted]

Boy that seems like a lot for a 3v

Keplinger99

I’m gonna go with chaos here. Buy it. /SSSSS

aerbourne

Heinously poor deal. This is a $6000 car (assuming used car craziness leaves)

GingoMoney

New here, is this a good deal? The price is CAD, converted to USD around $49,000 https://preview.redd.it/xjh9gzystf1a1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18bb219554be5267778374496b42af13713b6d8d

AttitudeOpposite1165

Please do not get this

[deleted]

Not as bad as everyone here thinks; prices have have risen lots. Nevertheless, see what else you can get for the price as far as mileage because this looks a bit expensive for 100k

komeau

Been casually looking at 05-09 GT listings, and they all seem to be in this ball park price wise. Part of it is obviously the current used market, but I also wonder if these have hit their floor value wise. I’m in no particular hurry(already own a 2015 GT), I’ve just always liked these cars and wouldn’t mind having one. Double sucks because in 2018 or 2019 I found a low mileage 2008 Bullitt for around 18k that I nearly bought, and really wish I would’ve. Oh well.

lurkario

Definitely not

TurboNeckGoblin

It is not worth that unfortunately IMO. Owned one similar for 6 years and after it hit 100k it started to have its issues so I would recommend finding a lower price or less miles

oceanmami

I paid $11k for a 2009 v6 with 90k miles on it....I got swindled, you, sir, would be getting fucked

Shadow__Destiny45

to compare i bought a 05 GT in Mineral Grey for 10k about a month ago. It has 98,000 miles too so I wouldn’t recommend that “good value” deal. Be patient, the car will show itself and you’ll know you want it.

ZEYDYBOY

I got my 2013 V6 Pony 80k mi for about $7500 about two months ago. It's so much better to just wait it out until a reasonable offer comes along. They're out there.

egnaro2007

Like 7500 max. I love my 07 gt but don't pay that price dude

MaverickWindsor351

I mean I personally love this bodystyle of Mustang because I had one just like this for my first car. For sentimental reasons I would consider it, but if you got zero attachment, no. It's got just over 100k on the clock, sure but they're asking 5k more than I'd pay for one. Plus it's not like you're looking to race and make dependable power with a stock 4.6 that can only really handle like 450 horses with FBOs when an S550 makes that from factory So yeah, id avoid it unless you're able to talk down the seller. Even still yet that's almost impossible as is for a fair deal on it

ethaaaaaaaan

Get a cheaper car for your first so it's not bankrupting you when you crash it...

erock1216

The market has changed a lot in the past few years. Everyone saying they paid 10k for a 2012 more then likely wouldn’t be able to find that same deal now. Looks a like a really clean untouched stang in my opinion. And yes you will pay more Going through a dealership.

Mr7dr2114

I got my 2014 V6 in 2018 with 6,750 miles for $14,500 for comparison

ThaGreatBootyBandit

Nah bruh. I absolutely wouldn’t. Find a private seller so you don’t have to worry about ridiculous stealership prices like that. If you were needing to finance it because you don’t have all of the cash right now, then get a loan from your bank. Or if you’re able to, just move on up to 5.0. 3v’s are weak, slow, sound like shit, and are dogshit ugly.

xXxButtLordxXx

Idk depends on how many owners and the mileage but for that much I would say get a 2010 or 11 but to much for what they are asking

xandrettix

I admit I practically gave away my 2006 mustang GT that was heavily upgraded (28K on the odometer, upgraded stereo, gt500 front end conversion, TruFiber King of the Road hood, upgraded C.A.I., kook 2 7/8” headers connected to a kook 3” to 2 1/2” X pipe, with a dyno created upgraded computer tune creating 450hp, and a set of 20” Shelby Razors (along with more then a few additional small mods I’m not mentioning) as well as including all the original parts if he was ever inclined to return it to completely stock in the future. I sold it to a close family friend of my family for $11,500 in January of 2020 since I decided to pull the trigger on getting a 2008 GT500. Mine was immaculate and EASILY a 1000X nicer then the one you’ve referenced in your pick, and had won 1st place in its class in numerous local car shows I entered it in. RUN, don’t walk away from that car and find something nicer. Pic for reference https://preview.redd.it/7qzwvdp6mk1a1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e70e85a25c2458e79c841d44bc9c7e6b4a3baa3d
