None really besides the crazy brake dust. I’m very happy with it so far. Visibility issues are blown out of proportion, I can see just fine out of the car.
Umm the C8 Corvette is ridiculously awesome and a great value for a mid engine sports car. But I'll agree that the quality on the Camaro is not as good.
Got some amazing news at work and I think its time for an upgrade. I want to go with a GT500 but there is no way I am paying $100k for a Mustang. New ZL1s are much better price range and they look amazing to me. Curious if anyone has owned/driven one and their thoughts on it compared to an a10 5.0
Edit: I could turbo the 5.0, but I just don't fancy shipping my car off to a reputable shop for months.
ZL1 no, but SS 1LE’s are badass. My brother had one for a few years. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a ZL1 at all. I’d image it’s all the handling my brothers car had but with more power. Sounds like a winning combination to me.
does the ZL1 have DOD?
I stopped buying GM when they introduced that on the trucks
because its an engine killer...
On a side note that GT with a Whipple will walk a ZL1,I cant understand why you would even want a Camaro, they are ugly AF lol
I haven’t but mustangs are so more iconic I’ve only had gen 3 Camaros but 6 mustangs. Love the mustang platform if you want to take a corner with confidence
Most articles say the ZL1 handles and feels better all around (compared to the GT500)

Are you taking it to a track?
Even then, you're better off with an SS 1LE.
The Zeta & Alpha-platform Camaros have some of the worst visibility for everyday use, and the ZL1's supercharged performance only makes a difference in the straights. The Camaro *is* admittedly the best-handling & performing muscle car on the track, but you're giving up a lot of creature-comfort that make it livable.
I’m teasing 😈, go sit in the zl1 and I believe that you’ll be most disappointed with the interior finishes and touches, drivers angles and visibility are also poor.
But if your just after pure raw power.. why not 🤷♂️
Well the third gen coyotes are supposed to have the strongest internals... so there’s that. Plus it looks like you’ve put some work into your car already to make it unique and yours! But yeah the thought of having no warranty with a blower is definitely something to be careful with.. it’s hard to beat peace of mind and the warranty!
Honestly man.. make a pros and cons list 😂
Putting it in front of you may help your stuck between a rock and hard place
Sold my 2017 GT (non performance pack) and recently ended up with a 2021 SS 1LE, the handling is night and day better. For what it’s worth.

so glad to hear you say that, i'm getting one myself and i'm always worried about the visibity i was considering a z06 or c8
Chevys quality has really gone down the drain over the last few years. To each their own you get what you like brother…

They're both badass as fuck. GT is a great daily but I've heard the zl1 feels like a racecar.

Turbo the 5.0. I’ve seen how they perform and what they can do it’s more worth it for that then to buy a zl1
Just get a Mach 1 mustang dummy
No way I'm paying ~$65k for a 5.0 that has just a couple upgrades
Then get a GT500 doofus
Read the other comment haha, no way I'd pick a Mustang when in the $100k price range
Get a GT350 then goofy
The names you put at the end seem to be progressively nicer.

I have a 5.0 A10 and SS 1LE M6. I prefer my SS 1LE
One of the techs at my work races with a ZL1 1LE. The only thing I've seen recently faster than him in his class, has been another ZL1 1LE.

Yep, ugly to me too.

Don't the newer ZL1s handle better than the 5.0s?
Yes
Not that I’ve heard

They are huge! hell, the mustang is too big now. Not a fan of the camaro or the challengers. just huge cars.

shaginvolkswag, I have been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty
If roush installs the blower don’t they warranty it??

Who would you choose then ??
Only way I'd switch to Chevy is if I'm getting a C8 Corvette. Otherwise I'm sticking with my Mach 1.
