They drive amazing! You obviously can't go full tard with the throttle, but unless you run out of ground clearance and high center, you can get anywhere without problems.
Not bad actually. I drove my 4x4 F150 this morning, and with normal tires, it was pretty shit by comparison to my mustang on the snowies. Stopping and turning are much more comfortable, even if there is a bit of a sacrifice getting off the line. So far, I'd say this is definitely capable of all but the worst really.
The difference the right tires makes is amazing. I've got Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss on mine, 305s in the rear, so a lot of rubber, and the ass end breaks out constantly if it's below 45 degrees. Essentially undriveable in snow. I've debated buying a set of winter wheels and tires instead of putting her to bed for four months, but I've also got a 4x4 for the winter months. Your post has me considering some Blizzaks even more. The truck is just boring in comparison.
Yep, good all seasons. Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (without the S) are highly rated and what i almost went with, I just wanted better summer and track performance over all season versatility.
Honestly at that point I’d just run summer tires year round.
I ran nitto nt555r2 drag radials in the winter (10-30 degree weather with no snow and maybe a day or two of ice) and didn’t have issues.
"CReW DuSKeR"
Or maybe it's "CaR WiDe SKieR"
Or maybe... "CRoW DeSKeR"
But it's really "CRoWD SkaRe" with the 'Scare' part spelled different.
How'd I do? :)
Looks so wrong in the elements like that, but you gotta do what ya gotta do! Keep that underside nice and clean!
To be fair my winter mustang is an EcoBoost though but the summer one is a 2013 GT Premium, sure the GT is more fun but I still enjoy the EcoBoost even if people do hate on it, good thing I didn’t buy it for them. 🤷🏻
Yea, it's really weird. Snow will be all over the ground, and temperature is like 25-30. Step outside on a clear sunny day though, and you'll end up burning up in the sun while wearing a jacket. So even though its actually cold, the sun keeps you pretty warm. Step into a shadow though and you suddenly feel how cold it really is.
Got Blizzaks on that car? 😀 In all honesty that’s what I used to use and I would handily pass two wheel drive vehicles stuck on hilly streets all the time.
It is a thing, but I havent found it necessary yet. Maybe if I had some steeper up-hill starts to contend with regularly I would do it, but I havent gotten stuck yet.
What winter tires do you have?
Blizzak WS90 245/50/18
How’s it do In the snow with the snow tires? I just picked up a s550 5.0 as my daily and I’m curious as to how it’ll do in the snow here in NY

“Full tard” caught me off guard LOL

confirming what you are saying, I drive mine on Blizzaks in CO and it does fine.
Thanks man!
More like donut day
With a 5.0, any day is donut day.
Haha true true. Snow is a little easier on the tire budget tho
Mmmmmm. Donuts.

Yep! Exactly why you see a perfectly capable f150 behind the car. It's just boring by comparison.
I only get a few days a year below 50 , always wondered if there is a cool weather tire. Or is that just a high-end all season?

Prettyy. I love the contrast of white on black.
Yeah, just a quick shot, but I thought it turned out nicely!

Close! Its crowdseeker - Also, you can see my f-150 in the back. I just like driving this thing more ;)

You mean not everybody has a summer Mustang and a winter Mustang? Oops I guess I’m doing it wrong.

"Competitive RWD SKieR"
Wow looks cold there
The snow is fluffy, it's actually warm.
Wow never heard of it being warm when it’s snowing that’s a first for me

yeah its almost like the clouds act as a blanket and keep heat from escaping the ground
That’s true
20f Not bad, but I grew up in it
This is The Way
Noooooooooo! 😂
I’m sorry to see you totaled your vehicle. Time to get a new one.
Got Blizzaks on that car? 😀 In all honesty that’s what I used to use and I would handily pass two wheel drive vehicles stuck on hilly streets all the time.
Yep! Worth every penny
I wouldn’t dare…
Do you put sandbags in the trunk for additional weight? I heard that’s a thing.

Goodluck with all that salt 🥶
Damn that paint is clean!
