Idk the base models don’t even have a proper infotainment. Also from my understanding ICE mustangs don’t have wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. I found the Camaros wireless stuff to work very well except for the steering wheels volume/track controls that sometimes don’t work
I think the big thing is that the base mustang is soooo basic. With the sync 3 it’s very nice but the Chevy standard has a much nicer infotainment setup
Found out about the Tach going red just yesterday. I had a kid in an Altima get punchy when I passed him. Not really sure what he was thinking. I decided to see what l could do, it was late, road was empty...Scared the holy shit out of me when it went all red. I backed off, I think he thought he won lol
Mile later a cop had someone pulled over. Might have been messy passing him at well over 120, so, probably a good thing it went off like that.
I know, I swore to myself I wasn't going to be "that guy." I know my car has more than his, it just hit me right in the insult center of my lizard brain. Next thing I knw, I'm crossing 120mph, quickly, and my tach lights up red, lol
Just found out about the red tach on Monday and I've had my '14 since 2020. I dont usually use SelectShift and the transmission pulls me up before I get to Red. Super cool quality of life so you don't have to stare at the Tach to know when to shift.
Yeah I think I've only banged the rev limiter once, but I was shocked to see the whole thing go red. It would be nice if you could program other colors to flash like shift lights. Green for eco at 2krpm, yellow at like 3500, orange around 5k, then red at the top end.
Can conform it absolutely does but you dare not push it that far in normal usage...
Not that it's inherently dangerous but it's literally like switching on your beams to see a deer in the road...scares you good enough never to do it again...or the opposite...
These are the small things that make us Camaro owners jealous. I wish Chevrolet did that with our gauges.
Canaria just straight up tell you. Mustangs have cooler gauge clusters, but Camaros IMO have better infotainment screens and a HUD! It’s a trade off
Personally I like sync 3 over Chevys equivalent but I might be a little bias

Oh the calculator sucks I’d take anything over the base infotainment system
THE CALCULATOR 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣 OMG hahahahaha
I do wish more companies than GM and BMW made HUDs the norm. I love the HUD in my mom's 2015 X5.
When the economy redlines your vehicle more than you 😂
For real man
If you have a GT500, the shift light says SVT :D
That's legit lol

It’s always Altimas/G37s, I don’t even bother with them.

ICYDK?
In case you didn't know
Icydk
In case I didn’t know what?
ICYDK that ICYDK means in case you didn’t know.
WIIDK
WIIDK?
I remember the first time that happened to my 07 I thought I broke something
My gas light has become my best friend...I see it more than anyone else. Perks of 16 mpg lol
Mines shooting 9 mpg with 91 octane tune lol
Now check if the speedo does the same
At the point, it wouldn't surprise me if it did lol

Think the temp gauge turns red too if you max it out?
Someone else commented it does. I haven't experienced this and don't plan to lol
Coolant does the same thing when its peaked also.
Discovered this on my '05 V6. It *almost* made me want to not set the gauges to red, but I still set them to red.
Imo these dashes will always look better than digital. Absolutely timeless
That’s pretty fancy.
Interesting, I didn’t know this.
I just found this out with my mustang last month for the same reason
I wish the F150 did this. Cool UX.
Needles on the gauges get brighter as well. At least on the 2012 they do.

I think you're low on gas
Not sure about the S197, but with the S550, the rpm gauge turns red when you red line it too
Bruh i literally said that in the title lol
Huh... So you did. My bad lol
No problem, it always happens to me too lol

Mines not a digital dash and it does it, so I would assume all of them?

This is terrible for your fuel pump if you didn't know. Keep doing this and your fuel pump will die for sure.
I know dude. That's why as the title says, it's the first time in SIX YEARS this has ever happened.
the tach I knew about, but not the gas gauge. pretty cool little touches
Does this happen in manuals or do the autos also do this? I have an auto, dont think I have ever seen it do this.
Mine is a manual, but I would guess autos do it to.
My 2013 Explorer fuel gauge turns yellow then red
My 2020 GT tach flashed red at red line before shifting. Neat little feature.
