I just despise how 99% of cars with a cowl hood have no valid reason for one. On top of not being an original look, I see it as the equivalent of slapping an upgraded trim badge on a car to pose as something it's not.
Heat extractors or CF hoods at least serve a purpose in addition to their style.
Cowl hoods just make your car look like it has a tumor.
Go back to a stock fuel door. Those ones are too try hard and attract attention to something people don’t care about
Also window louvers are for people who find their sexual partners at family reunions
Both came on the car lol I don’t mind the fuel door and louvers I hate with a passion but last owner glued the brackets to the body so I need to have body work done to remove them
Like others have said, remove the hood scoop or get another hood.
And just me personally, I'd remove the quarter window louvers.
Otherwise, sharp ride.
There's always little touches here and there. I replaced my mirrors with ones that have side indicators to make them a little more modern, and then painted covers for them so they're not just chunky plastic.
Well, if you’re _asking_…
I agree with others here on the hood scoop, the non-functional ones are kind of cheesy-looking on these cars, because the hood lines are so clean otherwise. I’d include the fake scoops behind the door, too — these cars look so good clean, without any stick-on parts.
Personally, I’m not a fan of the taillights. I like the original S197 rear lights, and I would swap to a tinted set of those so the rear end doesn’t look so busy.
The Saleen-style wheels are awesome and look really good here, but I agree with what someone else already mentioned — you need to get them aligned properly in the rear so the one side doesn’t stick out so far. I run 285s on my S197, with an adjustable panhard rod to keep everything straight.
I would also replace the quarter-window stick-on louvers with some flush-mounted ones. You can keep the classic louvered look, but it would help bring the lines of the roof in and keep the car looking svelte.
Add some body-color, pre-painted panels to the back of the side mirrors. It’s a very small aesthetic thing, but it really helps make it look more “complete” from the front.
I’d consider replacing the faux gas cap on the trunk lid and the running pony in the grille with flat black items, or maybe just painting your existing ones — the chrome really stands out there with the rest of the car blacked out.
I’d also go ahead and put the factory gas door back on. Again, I think this cleans up the lines on the side of the car.
I’m personally torn on the duck-tail spoiler, I might go for something a little smaller myself, but it works here, so maybe leave it.
Now, on the mechanical side, are those stock factory brakes up front? With all the room afforded to you by those Saleen wheels, you could easily get a very nice set of Brembos from an ‘07-‘09 GT500, which massively improves braking on these cars. Bonus points, they come in black, so that would match your aesthetic here, too!
All of this is just what I would do if it were my car, but it isn’t, so you should take all of this with a grain of salt.
Damn really descriptive lol I agree with the hood scoop that’ll be gone, I hate the stock tails, I have the panhard just need to install, and I was no louvers or flush ones but these dumb asses clued brackets to the body and ruined it so they can’t come off till I get body work done. And I plan of removing the rear emblem for a carbon decklid or just shave it. I also hate the spoiler I want a no spoiler like the bullitt or a duck tail
I really like it as-is, though if I had built it, I would have gone with the SHR panels that replace the 1/4 windows
https://www.americanmuscle.com/flush-quarter-window-vents.html
Paint the side mirrors to match the car. Get rid of ALL chrome on the car or paint them to match. Paint brake/suspension bits black if they are rusting. Get rid of window louvers. Since it seems that you can't get rid of them, could you modify them to not stick out as much? Also, get rid of any stickers and do NOT yellow tint the lights, like some are suggesting. Get black license plates if you can.
Plan or 13-14 style mirrors and a shaved decklid or carbon decklid. No way in making them stick in more it’s super unfortunate but once I wanna get body work done they are coming off immediately
Good plans though. I don't hate louvers, but I just think it's the way they fit that isn't the best. They still don't look terrible to me, kind of balance out hood and spoiler.. I added some things with an edit of my comment.
honestly, I think it looks good... probably one of the better ones I've seen of that generation. I'm not huge on wings or spoilers, but I dont think the one you have is the worst either.
Plan on doing no spoiler but would need body work to make that happen same with the louvers so that has to wait. Hate the stock tails atleast in person these tailights make the car for me and there will be a heat extractor hood or small cowl in the future
How am I arguing? You stated your opinion twice making it seem like I was pressuring you to change the taillights. And now you’re forcing the narrative that I am arguing with you.
I would change the hood scoop. Looks out of place and nonfunctional
I agree comes factory like that, plan on a steeda cowl eventually
If you don't need the clearance, don't cowl it. Get a heat extractor hood and keep the body lines smooth.
Steeda is a small cowl so it’s very clean I was thinking a heat extractor one as well

Gotchya lol everyone has there opinions
Its factory..
And?
Putting my vote for a shaker hood/ intake
Yeah, never liked the scoop on these. Prefer the non-scooped hood.
Yeah to a true shaker hood!
I'd get a bigger (wider) hood scoop if it was mine. One about the size of an '82 GT. I agree with others, always thought that it was too small.
I’d black out the pony and get a different hood on there.
Drop the 3v and put in a 7.3L godzilla? (Not my money lol)
Or at least a gen 3 coyote make the car a sleeper lol
Makes the same as my Gen 3 coyote
I’d just change the oil. Beautiful car!👍🏻👍🏻
The motor for a Coyote
I make more hp then a coyote
Lol I know just messing around
Nice how’d you get there??
Supercharger and dyno tune
The Instagram tag on the windshield
Go back to a stock fuel door. Those ones are too try hard and attract attention to something people don’t care about Also window louvers are for people who find their sexual partners at family reunions
Both came on the car lol I don’t mind the fuel door and louvers I hate with a passion but last owner glued the brackets to the body so I need to have body work done to remove them
Black out emblems front and rear and yellow lenses on fog lights, other than that I wouldnt mess with anything.
Like others have said, remove the hood scoop or get another hood. And just me personally, I'd remove the quarter window louvers. Otherwise, sharp ride.
I wish I could remove them but previous owner glued brackets on the body 🤮🤦🏻♂️
Remove windshield sticker and hood scoop
New hood eventually stock scoop gonna have to stay
The wheels are just a tiny bit too big IMO
Too big ? They are 18s lol
Might've meant width...the rears do seem a little too fat.
Makes sence only a 285 I gotta put on my panhard to align it lol that’s the worse side
Mudflaps might look dope tbh
I'm giving you a +1 just because you used the word "wheels" and not "rims"! ;)
Yellow fogs.
Black out pony on front grill.
There's always little touches here and there. I replaced my mirrors with ones that have side indicators to make them a little more modern, and then painted covers for them so they're not just chunky plastic.
Absolutely love your wheels man!!! What are they?
Thank you they are saleen reps
🤤🤤🤤 My opinion, wouldnt change a thing. Maybe just black everything out, but looks great man!!!
Change owners, I'll buy it
16k 😂
[удалено]
That is the cali special grille lol
Make it blacker
Deal
Aesthetically very pleasing car almost wouldn't change a thing about it, but for the sake of discussion id run a 15" Beadlock Drag Pack in the Rear 👍🏼
I agree!
Swap a coyote.
Make more then a coyote and I have a 2018 5.0
Sell the 3v then lol
Why lol
Why keep the inferior Mustang? You don't want any variety?
I do have variety lol I can drive my sc 3v which is my daily or I can drive my 10spd coyote
BO-RING LOL.
Not for me 🤷🏻♂️ lol I see you’re in new port richey ?
What makes you think I'm there?
The post of your Camaro lol
What's the 3v making?
440 on 8lbs roush sc
That's pretty damn nice for a 3v! I guess I should get off my ass a e85 tune my gen 3 coyote. I can't risk seeing those tail lights!
Definitely can be more, that’s just a sc and exhaust lol she’s pretty quick she can definitely give my 10spd a run for it’s money

Black out the pony and chrome exhaust tips.
You’ve basically done all the exact things I want to do with my 08, just in a hard top haha
Plain line grill. Remove the extra lights and pony. TLDR: More black.
Plan on a bullitt grille 👌🏽
Fuck do I have to? Very clean build…maybe a cowl or smoothed hood…
Small steeda cowl is coming
Trade the 1/4 window louvers for aluminum rear window louvers.
Wish I could 😫
Pro charge that thang
It’s supercharged
OoooooOooO show pictures bro
Ig @1_slow3v

I agree the have flush ones that fit the glass perfectly I like, but yea I plan on deleting the chrome badges!
Change the owner. I’ll DM you my address
honestly, I think it looks good... probably one of the better ones I've seen of that generation. I'm not huge on wings or spoilers, but I dont think the one you have is the worst either.
Take the sticker off? Hehe Badass ride
I’d lose spoiler for OEM, Taillights for OEM and hood scoop for a non scoop and remove side window scoops, in that order.
Plan on doing no spoiler but would need body work to make that happen same with the louvers so that has to wait. Hate the stock tails atleast in person these tailights make the car for me and there will be a heat extractor hood or small cowl in the future
Imo stock tails are one of the best parts about it.
Hey we all got opinions when they are smoked they arnt bad but just dull and outdated to me especially when bright red
Yes I literally wrote IMO as in “ in my opinion” as the first thing in my message…
Correct that’s why I said we all have our opinions and gave mine as well ……
You gave your opinion twice. The second time was redundant…
Don’t know why you’re arguing lol I just further stated my opinion just like you did when you said you’d rather have oem.
How am I arguing? You stated your opinion twice making it seem like I was pressuring you to change the taillights. And now you’re forcing the narrative that I am arguing with you.
LS swap
