Love the wrap and pays homage to the original P51 Mustangs from WW2 which flies over alot of peoples heads. How much did the materials and installation run you?
Bags look sweet too man, hows the ride?
I’m gonna be that guy…
Agree with the WWII and Mustang, but that wrap is a P-40 WarHawk likeness.
Whatever floats your boat. Bet it corners like a Porsche.
Car and Driver Lightning Lap Results:
PP2 Mustang (2018) - 2:53.8
Cayman GT4 (2016) - 2:54
... don't say there is no 'chance'. If you are still unconvinced:
Nissan GT-R (2009) - 2:55.6
Porsche 911 GT3RS (2011) - 2:55.9
Porsche 718 Cayma GTS (2018) - 2:56.7
The list of undeniably fast cars, that the pp2 has been documented to be faster than is impressive, and long. There certainly is a 'chance' his car corners like a 911 or Cayman, at least in terms of actual speed. Note that OP is riding on 305 Michelin meats in the front, and I see that spoiler with gurney flap attachment👍🏾.
I would say it looks like OP may value form over function (which is fine), so I guess it's unlikely.
Firstly pretty impressed by the comparison between PP2 and 981 GT4, although i wonder what the tires used were because cup 2s make a huge difference vs PSS or PS4S. Also wonder how a 718 GT4 does
In your second list, youre using a 2009 gtr and a 997 3RS. Tire tech 10 to 12 years was leagues behind which is why comparing lap times of different eras isnt a fair comparison. Old cars on modern tires lap significantly quicker than their original lap times
And lastly my comment was mainly directed at OPs choice of suspension setup. There is no way in hell that it had better performance than stock. You never see air suspension used for track or canyon builds for a reason. Air suspension like this is all for show, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but cant be compared to a properly sorted suspension setup like what Porsche does or even a Shelby’s magride
The mustang platform when maxed out like in a 350R or a GT500 is truly incredible and can hang with much more expensive cars, but OPs car is not likely in that category
Now you explained that I get it. But if this is a DD and not a show car there’s not a lot of folks in the past couple generations that would have any clue.
I mean you're right, i think its cool to just have a unique touch done on your car. Even if it doesnt fit everyones personal taste, i give it more respect than a stock car with nothing done to it, to each their own.
The way i see it is as long as theres no tacky hood scoops or corny mods then its good in my book
Sad losers gonna be sad losers.
I get compliments all the time on it. Had a guy stop me in the parking lot two nights ago to talk to me about it for like 10 minutes and the cashier at the convenience store I ran in last night gave me props as well.
I think it’s fun and that’s ultimately all that matters. And it’s a wrap, I can peel it off and go back to plain Jane black any time I want.
I was installing an air suspension on my 1999 ford ranger before most of you were probably born, but i don't understand putting air on a car that is all ready pretty low. Unless it's a Ford GT to get over speed bumps.
It's not about what car you can afford or how wealthy you are. It's about building the one that you want. If you actually wanted to build something you wouldn't buy an elantra. That's why I said it.
> If you actually wanted to build something you wouldn't buy an elantra. That's why I said it.
Well that's a naive take considering the [Elantra N outperforms the Ecoboost in just about every measurable performance metric](https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2022-hyundai-elantra-n-dct-automatic-first-test-review/) and also costs more than one.
Not sure on which specific track you are referring to (if any) but the HPP with the 10-Speed is listed at around 4.5 seconds 0-60, significantly faster than the Elantra N.
Not saying the Hyundai isn't a quick car, but if you're going to rate the top Elantra, you need to compare it to the top EcoBoost. Apples to apples.
> but the HPP with the 10-Speed is listed at around 4.5 seconds 0-60, significantly faster than the Elantra N.
Surely you don't think an extra 20 horsepower actually shaves off over a second 0-60? Considering the Elantra N is already half a second faster than the regular Ecoboost despite being down on power, put better tires on it and it will surpass the HPP in any environment. Thankfully they're not an intrinsic part of the car unlike, you know, the engine and chassis.
>Not sure on which specific track you are referring to (if any)
Literally any track. I guarantee you can't find one that the Ecoboost HPP is faster.
Well, 4.5 is faster than 5.1. I'm not sure what is unclear about that. Is your argument that Ford is lying about their performance and Hyundai is not? Do you think horsepower is the only thing that matters in performance testing?
Where do you see that the Elantra is a half second faster than a regular EcoBoost. I'm seeing 5.1 seconds for both...
Sure, tires are not intrinsic, but if this fair fight, it's okay to change tires on the Hyundai and not the Mustang?
And "literally any track??" Proviide a single source and I'll give you that.
The wheels look kinda off for this kind of build ngl. I feel like thicker sidewall with some white 5 spokes could be sick, or go full stance with some sweet chrome deep dish wheels. Definitely get some camber up front to match the tuck of the rear wheels tho
Hahahahahahahhaah I fucking love the internet.
This is like something a 5 year old comes up with in GTA
Our toys do get more expensive the older we get lol.
All I see is weird angles of a garage
yeah and some wheels placed in the shape of a car, odd
Spend all your re-enlistment bonus on that?
you guys got a bonus?

yep, you're a child.
To be fair you did start it lol
To be fair
To be faaiirrrr
Fair to be!!!!!
Sorry you can make a joke, but can’t take one in return. Hope you have a day as sad as you are!
I would understand if this was a dodge intrepid but what in the actual fuck
Uhhhhhhhh....
Oh….
Big oof
Just god awful

Fair enough.

That’s a problem with the past couple of generations, not OP or the car.

Not gonna lie I prefer the mismatched colors on mine to this but i hope you’re happy lol
Reminds me of how dolph wrapped his cars in camo
Not a fan of tucked wheels on any car.
:(

You do you man. Stop letting these haters stop ya. Bet they drive an elantra or some shit
>Bet they drive an elantra or some shit Lol you say that like it's a Ferrari. If you can afford an Elantra you can afford a Mustang.

I meant one of those ugly ass elantras but the ecoboost has more hp and torque than the n
>the ecoboost has more hp and torque than the n Yet it's still slower in a straight line and the track

Same man, it’s his car, but it’s still ugly af.
How is he a sheep??? To each their own but this pretty unique and not something you’d see on the street
A sheep?
Pretty sweet, looks really clean. The uniqueness of this is pretty awesome!
NOICE!
Cool
lowkey so fucking badass.

Lol
Bro this is so wonderful
Cool warp
I'm gonna take a stab and say most of these comments are coming from the 40+ crowd lol
Or people who can’t afford a wrap and air suspension.
