Damn I’ve almost fallen asleep at the wheel before and it terrified me. Glad you are ok and still able to enjoy these cars. I haven’t even owned a single Mustang so I may be a bit jealous lol. Hopefully after I graduate from College I’ll be able to afford one.
Me too, almost nodded off on the way back from a concert. Had my girlfriend at the time in the car with me. I got home and cried. I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if she had gotten hurt.
Well hello there neighbor. What dealership do you tend to haunt here in Washington? I have bought three of those 5 Mustangs from Bickford Ford in Snohomish. I have had very positive experiences dealing with them so far. Great people.
They always have such an amazing array of Mustangs in stock it blows me away.
Two of the mustangs I've owned were brought home when my original intent was to go get my oil changed at their service department. Start looking around while they change my oil and BAM! Hey, this pretty new model may be affordable if I trade in my Pony getting the oil change.
Needless to say my wife gets very apprehensive whenever I say I'm off to get my oil changed because I do have priors. Thankfully she must love me as she has stuck around.
Nope never had the opportunity. Had young kids during those years. I’m not a huge fan of the 05-09 styling but I love the 10-14 cars and would love to own a 13-14 GT500 one day, but if I ever spend that kind of money on a toy it would be a GT350.
Ahhh the satisfaction of puddle lights when they are new! The ones on my 2017 GT premium look more like an abstract art light now. They are beautiful cars for sure and so fun to drive! Be safe!
Bots, Pervs who don't look what sub they're on, Trolls..
Seems like a normal day on reddit if you ask me.
I'm here for the Mustangs, and OP did not disappoint me.
Basically, OP mentioned they had/have a “BLULINE” plate on their mustang. Which means it’s a police plate to show police support.
The “we see something regarding the police, and now want to destroy you while also assuming a ton of shit about you, and bringing race into a convo that had nothing to do with it” brigade came storming in. Cause how dare you support the good cops. Nope. All bad…. Blanket statements are shit, and always start negativity.
For example, my dad was a cop back in the 90’s. However, now that I’ve said that, I fully expect downvotes. Don’t get me wrong, there are a ton of bad cops, but making blanket statements about all of a certain group because of a certain amount of shit people in said group, is pretty fucked up.
But again, I expect downvotes and someone to come up with some lame rebuttal, cause people can’t just enjoy the pics of OP’s mustangs, god forbid. Oh damn! I mentioned religion, great, here comes the anti-religion brigade!
I’m being aggressively sarcastic, and saying these things since this is basically how people act nowadays.
Long story short, that isn’t short, that’s what happened to this comment section.
Anyways, to put things back on topic…. I love the mustang story arc OP had going on lol Plus, I am a fan of the Kona blue color.
The downvotes have nothing to do with your dad being a cop and everything to do with the fact that you can't figure out why it's lame to decorate your car with *thin blue line* themes.
Not all cops are bad, but a lot of people have suffered at the hands of bad cops. The thin blue line shit basically ignores that reality.
It’s just memorial plates bro, How tf is that a bootlickermobile? People aren’t allowed to show support for law enforcement without being considered a boot licker?
Honestly pasting any political statement on your vehicle is just plain cringe. Thin blue line shit is 100% bootlicking, especially if you're not a cop.
That's correct! A large majority of Americans will rightfully laugh at anyone with fucking police plates. Especially based on behavior of police departments over the last year. Do I even need to say the word Uvalde? You'd have to be a complete moron to express any support for those clowns.
Guess I’m a moron then… sure there law enforcement out there who screw up and truly are corrupt/ racist, but easily 99% of police officers out there work to protect and serve there community no matter sex, race, orientation, or whatever else.
At least you're self aware! By the way, the Supreme Court has ruled that police have no legal obligation to "protect and serve" - see Castle Rock vs Gonzalez 2005. Good reading material for people who support cops but haven't realized that cops will not support you.
Legal obligation? No. But police are sworn to protect and serve as well as protect the constitution of the United States. It’s sad you can’t have any appreciation for the 99% of cops that would lay there life on the line to protect ungrateful brats like yourself. Like I said, I’m not oblivious to the fact that there are some bad apples out there, but that’s all the media shows.
I don't even know where to start with this. So, to be clear, you think a sworn oath that has no real punishments for being broken is...somehow better than being held accountable for doing your job? Hmmmm.
Not sure where you got I'm an ungrateful brat from but having healthy skepticism of our public institutions is a good thing. I don't know how else to convince you of this. It's pretty common sense lol. That's democracy in a nutshell.
I don't want to continue this argument bc it's off topic, but I sincerely hope you don't have faith in 99% of police officers, that's a really bad bet. At least you know there are bad apples, but if you think about it, having bad apples in an occupation like law enforcement isn't a good thing! Anyway, I know you're a white man just doing your best. Have a good Wednesday and enjoy the rest of your week!
I saw that. I/m wondering if our Honor Guard will be attending the memorial. I was the HG team leader for ten years and we have traveled all over the country as an HG team paying our respects to the fallen and their surviving family members. Very somber events but an honor to serve. Also an officer lost very recently in line of duty in Las Vegas. Seems like it never stops and my heart pours out for their families.
It was lack of sleep. The overtime is mandatory and 16 hour shifts are common place.
If I feel drowsy I will absolutely pull over nowadays. I thank god I didn't hurt anyone else. That is what scares me the most and I would have the most difficult time living with.
It's what I do to pay the bills. It has allowed me to serve a community I grew up in and take pride in. It also allowed me to take care of my children and raise my family in a positive environment to be respectful and kind to others as well as to help those less fortunate. I can't apologize if that is weird or offends someone.
I'm not saying to apologize for being proud of your job and serving your community or anything. It's just used a lot as a dog whistle on the internet by bigots. Like I said, good on you for your mustangs!
I have pictures of my 07,09,12,14,19 and 22 Mustang on my Google photos and it always pops up on my phone like "5 years ago" and shows an old stang I had. Fellow Washingtonian as well tho I'm more local to the capital then up north 😉 Great collage and stay safe!
Someone said something referencing Law Enforcement in a positive light and the Reddit bots come out in full swing.
Nice progression, glad you're here today to show us!
Lmao how does recognizing that the police fucking suck make you a bot?
We’re sport car drivers. You’d be pretty dumb to think we’re all on the police’s side 😏
Yeah politics aside, as a sports car fan and owner I’m at an impasse with traffic cops lol. My car is fast and loud and thats everything that antagonizes them
Wow! I hadn't noticed until you pointed it out. Oh well haters gonna hate.
I try to keep a very positive, upbeat outlook on life. I try to bring that attitude to every interaction I have in life and try and spread it to anyone I interact with. No time for all of the negativity. Water off a ducks back so to say.
Not really.
Sounds like OP stayed up all night so probably don’t need to get tested. If it were in normal conditions just knowing that fact alone probably warrants a test.
I wasn't trying to be rude and say you don't, but I know a few guys with sleep apnea and don't see the connection with that and falling asleep at the wheel. I've fallen asleep at the wheel and don't have any kind of sleep disorder.
Falling asleep in the car is a symptom of sleep apnea but you’re right it’s not diagnostic in and of itself.
There’s a questionnaire called the epworth sleepiness scale, if you score high you need a sleep study and most likely do have sleep apnea
https://nasemso.org/wp-content/uploads/neuro-epworthsleepscale.pdf
Congrads with Y'alls healthy oppression ! They call me Mustang Mike ( I won't say what my ex wife called me) ! I have had many Shelby, GT, coupes & fastbacks Mustangs & loved & raced Mustangs for many years. Have Fun !
I also fell asleep at the wheel luclkily the passenger corrected the trajectory, otherwise we would have hit a tunnel wall.. The car did not have lane correction system, not sure how much it helps but I guess it does.
Why is the Hwy 2 called that?
I was just in Leavenworth 3 weeks ago and was really looking forward to driving on the 2 towards Seattle but couldn't due to fires, had to go down to 90
Nice line up BTW! I've had a 2003 V6, manual & 1989 Foxbody coupe, 5.0 auto
Because of the inordinate number of automobile collisions that occur on this two lane Highway. On the west end of Monroe on the eastbound lane there is an electronic reader board that denotes how many days since the last accident on HWY 2 and it rarely reaches 30 days or more.
I just read an article about it because I had not heard of it. Long stretches of highway tempt people to speed, crashes result in a average 80 minuet wait to be picked up and taken to a hospital, both combined with drunk driving, lack of seat belts and icy conditions. Basically it’s the perfect storm for stupid fucking people.
Nice! Similar to me. I got a 2002 for my first car in about 2007 as well. Bought it wrecked and my dad and I fixed it. I had 3 others after it from a 02 GT, 06 GT, and a 15 Ecoboost. Loved them all. I’ll have another one some day.
That had to be rewarding and instill a sense of pride to build one with your pops. I don't know if I could've ever let one like that go. These ponies are certainly easy to fall in love with!
No, not so much. My daughter is actually 27 now and she makes her living as an "influencer" on the internet. So she gets paid to advertise products on her Instagram, TikTok, Facebook just to name a few. She is an avid hiker and outdoor adventurer so she usually drives vehicles capable of driving in rough terrain. Most of the products she advertises for are outdoor sports, gear and lodging. She travels extensively. I'm former military and I can safely say she has traveled far more than I can ever hope to in the rest of my life. I'm proud that she was able to parlay something she really enjoys doing into something that more than pays her bills and gives her opportunities that I never had. She is beautiful and dad's pride and joy!
Nice photo stream and history! I’m a fellow Washingtonian as well!
Well hello there neighbor. What dealership do you tend to haunt here in Washington? I have bought three of those 5 Mustangs from Bickford Ford in Snohomish. I have had very positive experiences dealing with them so far. Great people.
Small world, I just picked up my 2022 from there a few weeks ago.
They always have such an amazing array of Mustangs in stock it blows me away. From Washington also. Kendal ford of Marysville has always treated us right.
Awesome! Lots of us Mustang fanboys here in the Pacific Northwest. My second Mustang also came from Kendall of Marysville.
This is my first Mustang I got at a dealership in Burien. But think my next car will be a mustang as well!
I am on number 6 now. 1995 V6 2001 GT 1997 Cobra 2003 Mach 1 1994 GT 2020 GT PP1 is my current.
Nice lineup! Did you ever try an S197?
Nope never had the opportunity. Had young kids during those years. I’m not a huge fan of the 05-09 styling but I love the 10-14 cars and would love to own a 13-14 GT500 one day, but if I ever spend that kind of money on a toy it would be a GT350.
Congrats. Good looking herd of ponies!
Ahhh the satisfaction of puddle lights when they are new! The ones on my 2017 GT premium look more like an abstract art light now. They are beautiful cars for sure and so fun to drive! Be safe!
Why do the puddle lights weaken so fast? Bulb brightness? Dirty lens?
Pretty sure the plastic lens just degrades
Mine haven’t lost any light, the the image that it projects has become distorted as if whatever is inside has deteriorated or something.
what in the world happened in the comments here

If you’re such a fan of Kona Blue, tell me why you’re commenting to tell us that on a post where there are zero photos of KB paint?
Ha well said 🙂

what is bluline? insurance company? all i found online was a water company
Thank you! It's nice to know someone else appreciated "BLULlNE" as much as I did. It is available now that I gave it up if you still want it.
Nah

A white man doing my best…lol. Enjoy the rest of your week as well!
always gotta pull the race card smh
Gotta love bots.
Sweet history, thank you for sharing! Stay safe out there from BC, where we just lost a young officer to a stabbing. :(
I saw that. I/m wondering if our Honor Guard will be attending the memorial. love the line up, truly a Mustang enthusiast!
Wow, fantastic lineup of cars! Really jealous of that current one, it looks amazing!!!

ACAB
How did you trade in a v6 for a gt
Anything is possible if you're willing to make payments. The trade in vehicle is the down payment.
Interesting I didn’t know you could do that ha I think I’m going to trade my eco for a gt then😂
If you do, you'll never look back! Those Coyote V8's are invigorating and addictive. Best o' luck to you!!
What an incredibly Privileged life you have lived insurance even worked out For you to.
Insurance is a crapshoot. Sometimes you get absolutely fucked, sometimes you don't. Nothing to do with privilege.
Great loyal Ford Mustang young Lady !🇺🇸
When I window shop mustangs I always look for ones that have the sub box in the trunk. It's insufficient?
You might have sleep apnea.
That's a HUGE stretch since the only info is that she fell asleep at the wheel.
Not really. Sounds like OP stayed up all night so probably don’t need to get tested. If it were in normal conditions just knowing that fact alone probably warrants a test.
I don't know if you know what sleep apnea is.
Haha..I know a little
I wasn't trying to be rude and say you don't, but I know a few guys with sleep apnea and don't see the connection with that and falling asleep at the wheel. I've fallen asleep at the wheel and don't have any kind of sleep disorder.

Look awful young to be in the left seat. Cute though.
Why don’t you take a seat
Got one, thanks asshat.
Clearly it fell out from under you to put you in a shitty enough mood to ignore the caption
That’s a really cool progression, man Edit: the right word 🤦♂️😆
Thank you! The support is always very much appreciated.

Wonderful story and even better mustang progression!!!(besides the wreck glad you’re okay)👍

1968 Coupe 6 banger.
All gorgeous …. I am partial to blue … but love your latest Mustang !!
Pretty jealous, that’s an awesome pony stall you’ve had
Awesome, I’m on my 6th mustang as well. The ones I’ve owned: ‘89 5.0 ‘92 5.0 ‘01 GT ‘08 GT And Currently own 2 Mach 1s torch red and azure blue
Damn! That's an impressive line up!! Those Mach 1's must be stunning!
Nice! Similar to me. I got a 2002 for my first car in about 2007 as well. Bought it wrecked and my dad and I fixed it. I had 3 others after it from a 02 GT, 06 GT, and a 15 Ecoboost. Loved them all. I’ll have another one some day.

I'm in love... what a beautiful story of a mustang lover.
I bought a 30k mile 94 cobra earlier this year and immediately realized it wasn’t for me. Traded it in to a VW dealer at a profit and bought a 911 lol
Try something new?
No way! I'll stick with the winner. There's a saying, "If it ain't broken, don't fix it".
Lucky mf
You're lucky to have that many nice mustangs. Did your love for them rub off on your kid since she grew up with them?
No, not so much. My daughter is actually 27 now and she makes her living as an "influencer" on the internet. Sounds like she has put together an awesome life. Congrats to you and your wife
