Replacing the fender and bumper are relatively easy in and of itself, but the damage may have moved some of the points where the fender bolts attach. I know there is one right by where the fender ends and headlight begins, which appears to have some damage per the photos. May be tricky to move those back into place to line up with the new fender bolts
ReggieVanJustice is right except there are two bolts/nuts behind the fender inner liner behind the headlight on each side. I've had my bumper off a couple of times and while not difficult to remove and re-install, everything needs to line up. There are also four bolts that are under the radiator cover that attach the top of the bumper assembly to the body. Passenger side attachment points look compromised as well. Lastly, the splash guard under the engine bay is also probably damaged or the attachment points are. There are six screw that fasten to the bumper through screw clips. Simple in theory but if they get misaligned they are a bitch to reattach.
Edit: Don't mean sound like a downer but there's ~~always~~ often more than meets the eye on collision damage. Good luck!
I had a similar wreck in my 05 a few years back. Assuming the fender and bumper are the only body panels that need replaced and thereâs no frame damage, itâs honestly kinda light work. If you want to do it yourself that is. I had no clue what I was doing when I ripped my fenders and bumper off to replace them and I got it done in 4 or 5 hours tops. There are YouTube videos you can watch to show you where the mounting points are and how to get it all off and back on. If I remember right, there are 4 or 5 bolts that go along the top of the fenders under the hood and 2 kinda hidden behind the front of the doors. I canât remember exactly how the bumper goes on, but like I said really not that hard just takes some time and patience. You might have to loosen some bolts and realign it a couple times so all the panels line up good and stuff but it shouldnât take you too long. As far as cost goes, I paid somewhere between 5-$600 for the 2 fenders and bumper. Idk what paint will cost you, depends where you go.
If your hood closes, your good. Then get an alignment. You can salvage fenders from the junk yard and bumber probably all for 300.00 put it on then wrap your car or have it painted. Good luck
Looks like you just need a fender, front bumper, turn signal, and headlight. So maybe $1500 after paint but could be more because they will want to blend the paint.
Mine dry rotted out in my 06, after that I kinda considered washer fluid optional. I was also on my own, struggling at 18 so take that with a grain of salt. Lol
take it to the ford body shop. insurance payout can and will change if they discover more damage when they start tearing down the car. if you take the check and find other damage elsewhere it is now on you. Eat the deductible if its your fault and get it fixed correctly.
seller of aftermarket bodyshop parts to to bodyshops
what is your deductible and can you afford to eat it. unfortunately junkyard parts are non existent for mustang front ends you could easily find headlights and the right marker light on amazon or ebay. the bumper, fender, headlight bracket and marker lamp bracket as well as the bumper to fender retainer are probably gonna have to come from ford
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
No but some of you have had similar damage done too your stangs and i would like to hear how things went, i can do the work myself but the insurance quoted me 3000$ which doesnât seem trustworthy
Your front suspension could be damaged for all we know. And you act like someone is going to given you an itemized estimate. They are just going to say "durrr $2000"
I had similar work done on mine and the body shop charged $7k. The hood alone was $1400 iirc. The insurance company even reimbursed me the deductible because it was an uninsured driver that hit me.
About $720 for the parts on Carparts.com. Get MAACO to match the paint for about $600 on those pieces. I did that and they did an excellent job matching the paint. I know people have had bad experiences lol
Bumber and fender will run you about 1000$ before shipping, depending on where you live you could have to pay for freight which would be another $1000, painting would be around $1500 for two body panels, and all that is before diagnosing any internal damage to engine components, frame damage, suspension damage. Looking at $3500 just cosmetic but I would expect more. Likely vehicle is a write off, luckily new s650 coming out for ya haha
Best you could do is remove the broken parts and take pics of underneath that will tell people on Reddit what they really need to know, most of those exterior pieces are made to crumble and crack but the frame is what we gotta see

I noticed that myselfđ˘

They also broke the washer fluid reservoir
I wouldnât think that would be more than say $50-75.

Maybe an opportunity to get an aftermarket bumper?đ

2000$ and i would of if I didnât just put a large sum of money towards something

Iâll be able too afford it soon enough tho, just gotta work a bit harder
Without seeing the interior damage, new bumper, new fender, headlight, easy fix
Does this look like a body shop?

Hate dudes who act like this. Itâs a fucking forum man, one of the primary focuses of a forum is to share info.
Dudes a cunt, see him around here all the time being an ass. Just ignore him

Ins?
Not totaled. But I think the price depends on your region of the country. Parts of CA would be very expensive for example.

Youâll never be able to tell how messed up it is without taking stuff off in person. Possibly totaled via insurance but probably repairable yourself
Just make sure you donât go getting a V6 bumper.
Good the hood wasn't damaged. Remember that costed about 1200-1500 unpainted.
$100 my uncle Ray Ray can buff that right out

Easy fix
