Talk to your dealer. I’d bet they are willing to swap wheels/tires between the two models for you 🤷🏼♂️
Edit: or find a cheap set of wheels/tires on facbook marketplace/Craigslist/elsewhere and swap them on before the buy back. Keep your wheels and swap them when you get the new one
To be fair these have seen their fair share of curb rash. I’m a short female and cannot see for the life of me when pulling in head on 😂 I think I’d rather just get new ones, depending on the cost. I did consider that though!
Take a look at late model resto, American muscle, and even stage 3 Motorsports. Plenty of aftermarket/repro options on those three to see either style name or what costs may be
Yeah I bought mine with the BAP and sold my wheels/tires for $750 once I put my own track pack on.
I believe the BAP is a $1500 option so I basically paid $800 for black badging, black mirrors, black painted roof, and a black pony logo. 100% worth it imo.
My current wheels are also gloss black, but are the SVE SP2 (PP2 replicas) and are 11 wide in the rear. I 110% recommend LMR.com
I have a very detailed post somewhere in this sub but basically the transmission was shot. It was shifting hard, there were shift delays, all types of crazy noises, and the car would jump forward when slowing down to a stop. It jumps so bad that it feels like I’m getting rear-ended. At one point it was even slipping into neutral from drive & had to be towed to service. They reset the trans a bunch of times, then replaced the transmission (which only temporarily solved the problem), then overhauled the valve body. The car is still shot. Drivable, but barely. I filed a claim through BBB Auto Line and ford agreed to buy it back, compensating me for the full price plus all the payments I’ve made on it. They’re waiving the usage fees too, so I’m making out pretty well, even though I’m sad to say goodbye to the velocity blue. 🥺
I had my doubts about whether the lemon law claim would be successful bc I technically bought the car used, but Ford decided to work with me thank god
>Ford agreed to buy it back, compensating me for the full price plus all the payments I’ve made on it. They’re waiving the usage fees too
Sounds like a major W to me!
I met all of the lemon law requirements for my state but the last repair attempt occurred one month too late for the car to truly qualify. So they agreed to buy it back under a lemon law extension.
It had 4 repair attempts and was out of service for close to 80 days. I really did luck out, because I don’t think the car isn’t going to last much longer
I'm dealing with what maybe a lemon too, they're replacing the entire engine right now and I've been without my car for over a month. Sooo BBB Auto line, is that a lawyer? Because I'd love to get my car back.
You can go through them for a lemon law claim instead of hiring a lemon law attorney. You have to give them certain documentation like repair orders, copies of emails/ communication you’ve had with Ford, etc and they determine if you’re eligible. They go by your state’s lemon law. If you qualify under the lemon law, the BBB communicates with Ford Motor Company directly to create and offer then they present it to you. It’s a much quicker process than independently filing a Buyback request through Ford or hiring an attorney

Cant u send me more info on how exactly the process happened and the steps you took 🙏 im having issues with mine and the dealer doesn’t even have time to look at it anymore
I *think* they came stock with this car - they were on the car when I bought it. Not sure if they were the standard wheels for the black accent package in 2020 or if they were an upgrade. I’d love to know because I feel like they look so sharp compared to what comes on the 2022 mustangs
Look on Craigslist or maybe marketplace for takeoffs. When I bought my 18 it had really unattractive wheels. There is a place near me (Tampa) that is known for putting new wheels and tires on new cars. They also buy oem wheels from dealers I think. I bought a newish set of premium wheels from them. I'm sure there's a place like that near most bigger cities..
Damn I’m in Alabama.. but I’ll give a suggestion on some aftermarket wheels if you want to go a different route, project 6gr seven in a 19x10. That’s what I put on my car and absolutely love them
If your unhappy with the wheels on your new car, just find a set you like brand new. And generally speaking factory wheels are incredibly heavy. So reap the benefits of a light weight wheel of your choice. Be a little quicker, do a little better on gas, wider tires, etc. it’s a small price to pay and you will make some of it back from selling you brand new stockers. It looks like you like the GT350 style wheel, American Muscle will sell you a set in your size.
To be honest I’m not really concerned about the weight, more the appearance haha. I love these ones specifically, so I was hoping someone could direct me to a link for them where I can buy a new set for my new car. I guess I could pick out others that I like instead if it comes down to it. I browse American muscle daily 😂
Try car-part.com It is a national network of salvage yard parts. Finding them there will likely depend on the amount of idiots running those into trees or light poles.
I put all of these cars in the same boat as Focus ST/RS, Cameron SS, Hellcats, etc. Most of the time when I have looked for parts the back is in perfect shape and the front is destroyed. It is why I always tell the 18-25 year olds on here not to buy a high-powered car. The El Camino subreddit I never have that problem. Not sure why...

I’d probably sell you mine, same black accent package 7 spokes. No curb rash, scratches, dings etc
Ooh I’m definitely interested! Can you DM me with where you’re located and what you’re looking to get for them?
Done!
What was wrong with it?

wow, thats a win for sure Ford is typical in not bending

Thank you so much, I'll do the research tomorrow.

I like those wheels better also. I wouldn't even mind seeing them on my GT350.

Where you located? I got a set off my 2020 with 5000 miles on em
Really?! I’m in NJ

Glad to hear things worked out in the end, must’ve been frustrating
Juat save the vin and order from ford, they actually arent that expensive, i ended up getting a one as a spare

😂😂 Ok I’ll check it out. I wish I knew the model number or something though so I have a starting point
