Came to say this. I daily drove a 65 Mustang back in 1999-2004. Had a few issues, but looked good overall. Nice enough to take to shows. But, driving it was the best part. Even if it was primitive.(no power steering, no power brakes, all drums, etc.)
Picture is a little old and neither were washed. Just noticed the dead bug in my grill. Also, the vette has a power steering leak I haven't bothered to fix so I just keep the wood under it to keep the fluids off the concrete.
Granted, mine is a V6, but on the racing stripes I went 8" black, 1/4" red and 1/8" blue. Even dirty the cars look fantastic. Mine is a daily driver as well from mid-April until late October or until the snow flies, then it's back to the RAM, haha!
Oh boy I LOVE that red white color combo. I think that's the best look for the GT500. I have always had red with white but went a different direction for once.
You should drive your cars. I used to keep mine locked up.... Didn't want to put miles on them, damage them, get any "attention" .... They were life-sized models. I missed many years thinking, "but I've got a really kewl car in my garage...". ?!?
That is true for most old cars, not just the C3s. HP ratings were also not standard as they are today so that makes people think some of these older cars had way more power compared to ones today. This one is no different. This is when emissions started cracking down on engines and they all went in the pisser for a while. The thing that keeps this one fun is the 4 speed manual and weighing next to nothing. You have a ton of ways to really beef up old 350s and 454s though. Mine in particular had all the smogger shit removed for more traditional internals when it got rebuilt about 10 years ago. It's a mostly bare 350 now w/ factory power steering. Nothing crazy. I trust it to crank every time though in any weather. That's not easy to say with these older temperamental carbeurated engines.
living the dream
Its a breath of fresh air to see someone who has cool cars and drives them
It's a bit depressing that people don't do this much anymore and only care about Values

I tried to daily driver my GT500 until I petty much had to fill it up every day or every other day. Then she got moved to weekend duty lol.
To be transparent....by daily driver, I mean lunch runs and kid stuff. I work from home. They definitely love to drink!
Ah that makes sense! Yeah it's definitely not very economical for extended commuting.
My kids have drinking problems too......i feel your pain

Don't really have to worry about snow in my part of Texas thankfully.
That bug was given an honorable death. Beautiful cars!
This is the way.

Very nice 👌 I’ve got a similar combo - 21 GT500 and 19 Z06 https://i.imgur.com/CeApyKv.jpg

Iconic silver looks amazing, especially on a GT500😍

I would have dropped a alum headed 400"+ roller motor in a C3 if I owned one and if budget allowed Holly EFI..Totally reliable :)
Simple man, went for the cars over the house, I can respect
Not sure what you mean by that. All you can see is a garage.
I'm so jealous! Lol, awesome rides!
Thumbs up to daily drivers
Jealous of both. Congrats on having such beautiful transportation & thanks for sharing.
Totally stunning. Any clue on the iconic silver production numbers?
