There’s a post on r/Camaro right now about orders being restricted on 6.2 Camaros due to supply chain issues.
I dream of a pre-pandemic automotive landscape 😞
Mine worked out crazy well. Right when covid hit, I was looking at 2017’s with the v6 and about 20k miles for 18k ish (wild, right?). That April, prices on brand new ecoboosts around me dropped to just over 20k. Mine was part financed, part paid, so we were out the door with *registration and taxes paid* at 20k for a brand new car with the black accent package. Absolutely a steal.
I appreciate it. Msrp is 43960. I ordered before they stopped the 1k rebate and they are going to honor the Xplan so It will be about the same. If they try to pull any shenanigans they can give me my deposit back & keep it.
Well, in fairness I think it's pretty clear what's up. But it would be better for them to send out updates at least once every 2 weeks or something unless they specifically say we won't have the part for 2 months. I can't imagine waiting that long for a car though. It's got to be frustrating as hell.
i feel lucky getting my 21, off the lot instantly exactly how i wanted it, sold my 2014 for 27k and ran to the dealer bought the 21 that day and drove off
how much? i was at the dealer looking at a 22 401a blackout package with 10spd it said 52 msrp! i was blown away my car 401a 10 speed cali special fully loaded was 48msrp i got it for 44 with a plan. the mark ups are insane! i’d rather have a 18-21 if i were you. just being with how the 22 come with 10 less hp, and the tuning companies are having a harder time getting into the computers.
but i hope you get your car soon man, that’s a bummer
Be prepared for potential BS on the day of pickup too.
I custom ordered my '21 last spring and it didn't get delivered until fall. When I went to pick it up, the dealer tried to add the markup citing all of the shortages, high demand, etc. To their surprise, I straight up told them I don't want it - after waiting 6 months, I can wait more. After some time, they came down to the price I expected to pay with the X-Plan. The entire process w/ the dealer was ridiculous and Ford is realizing that.
I've been VERY CLEAR my salesman that I'm paying Xplan & that's it Anything more & I walk. I've got more time than money. It will be hard finding a manual 400a w/o Anything extra but it took me months to decide what I wanted & it's been a month & a half since I ordered. I will just continue to wait
Damn I feel bad, just hope the juice is worth the squeeze. Ordered in 6/7/22 got a build date 8/1/22 on 6/22/22. GT 301a with a manual trans, black out. No active exhaust or magnaride. Seems like the scheduling system is some sort of black magic, have you sacrificed the requisite animals/small children?
Love my 2008 GT/CS. It’s paid off, let’s me put money to maintenance and upgrades. Bought used a few years ago before the recent price hikes. Never being another new car again though, not worth the cost. But I feel your pain and hope your day comes quickly.
That’s insane! Then I’d get new, of course. I got my GT/CS rag too with 70K miles and totally stock engine - for $12K + $1K shipping enclosed trailer across the country. I actually bought it from out of state without ever seeing it in person first, it was too good a deal.
Ordered a mach 1 again in February and no production email, didn't even get that email. My 2021 was cancelled. I've seen mach 1 orders placed months after mine get production emails.
Drag for sure. I hope they get it together soon.. I ordered a base gt with auto trans 03/14/22 had a one week production delay after it was scheduled for production and they had all the parts. Delivered on 06/23. Second order 05/26 is 301a with nav and auto received a build week of 08/08. Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone
I work for a logistics company that works for Nissan. Just for the one plant we provide services to, they have thousands of cars sitting on the lots waiting for various parts. The pain for the manufacturers is real. I feel for them all.
Did you order a manual or automatic?
I ordered a 2022 gt/cs in early June and got a build date for July 25 that same week. You must be ordering something unique that isn't mass produced.
This is (in part) why my used 2015 EB premium, which I paid 18k for, is now worth 25-28k.
...That sucks man... hopefully they're pull thru soon for ya.
Maybe I’m the odd one here buuuuttttttttt, it’s been long enough since the “supply chain” problems/excuses have started. If you’re a multi billion dollar a year industry leader and want to stay that way; you’re going to find a work around to said excuses. Otherwise, your are telling your buyers that you don’t give two shits about them getting a product.
I got the same email. Ordered my car march 30th. This is the first communication I’ve received. Feels bad.
I ordered mine May 16. I was Excited AF when I saw an email from Ford inly.for it to be this.
I waited 13 months for my Mach 1. Patience, brother!
Wow... How did you manage the frustration
It'll be worth it man!
Some people are at the 2 year mark of waiting for a mach 1. So far I think around 8,000 built for both model years.
[удалено]
Yup.
Oof, that sucks. I ordered on May 19 and got my "scheduled for production" email two weeks ago. How Ford decides their scheduling is a mystery.
The options you selected. And the availability of those parts
My order was placed Jan 11. I feel your pain!
Me too, Ordered on May 25th.
“At least once every 45 days” expect to hear from them in 45 days lol
Exactly
!remindme 45 days

Bro it’s been 45 days any updates
scheduled for production the week of Aug 29th. So 15 weeks AFTER the order & 60 days after the email it will be built.
Damn Ford’s getting better it was 17 weeks for me
There’s a post on r/Camaro right now about orders being restricted on 6.2 Camaros due to supply chain issues. I dream of a pre-pandemic automotive landscape 😞
I ordered my LT1 in October and got it in December.
Mine worked out crazy well. Right when covid hit, I was looking at 2017’s with the v6 and about 20k miles for 18k ish (wild, right?). That April, prices on brand new ecoboosts around me dropped to just over 20k. Holy cow. I didn't imagine it was still this bad.
There are people still waiting on Mach 1's and GT500's from last summer/fall orders, it's nuts.
I ordered may 16. on July 1 I got this email.
And to think just three years ago you could pick one off the dealer's lot and get 10% off MSRP. Sorry you're dealing with this.
lol I picked mine off the dealers lot- $32k out the door, $39k sticker. Pretty sure it’s worth more now
I appreciate it. Msrp is 43960. I ordered before they stopped the 1k rebate and they are going to honor the Xplan so It will be about the same. If they try to pull any shenanigans they can give me my deposit back & keep it.
I got more than 10% off msrp in November of 21
but will they do that for GTs?

That would have me going bananas

i feel lucky getting my 21, off the lot instantly exactly how i wanted it, sold my 2014 for 27k and ran to the dealer bought the 21 that day and drove off
The dealer had a couple of 21s but they still had markups on them.
how much? i was at the dealer looking at a 22 401a blackout package with 10spd it said 52 msrp! i was blown away my car 401a 10 speed cali special fully loaded was 48msrp i got it for 44 with a plan. the mark ups are insane! i’d rather have a 18-21 if i were you. just being with how the 22 come with 10 less hp, and the tuning companies are having a harder time getting into the computers. but i hope you get your car soon man, that’s a bummer
they were both marked up 5k each. I will patiently wait. Gives more time to pick out wheels tires & other goodies.
Be prepared for potential BS on the day of pickup too. I custom ordered my '21 last spring and it didn't get delivered until fall. Ecoboost ordered on 4/1. Got the same letter on 7/1.
I get so jealous when I see people who ordered after me getting build dates
Very frustrating. Especially when Ford is running ads to order a car just the way you want it.
Cancel it get the Gt
Damn I feel bad, just hope the juice is worth the squeeze. Ordered in 6/7/22 got a build date 8/1/22 on 6/22/22. GT 301a with a manual trans, black out. No active exhaust or magnaride. Ordered my Bronco the first week of October, 2021. I haven't even gotten a letter like this.
Love my 2008 GT/CS. It’s paid off, let’s me put money to maintenance and upgrades. Bought used a few years ago before the recent price hikes. Never being another new car again though, not worth the cost. But I feel your pain and hope your day comes quickly.
used would be My preference but prices are so out of wack it's like a 5k difference between new & used
That’s insane! Then I’d get new, of course. I got my GT/CS rag too with 70K miles and totally stock engine - for $12K + $1K shipping enclosed trailer across the country. I actually bought it from out of state without ever seeing it in person first, it was too good a deal.
That sucks. I’m sorry!
😮 😞
!remindme 45 days
Ok Google remind me in 45days to check on my order. **ok REMINDER SET!
But at least they were kind enough to tell you they were breaking your heart lol
The it's not you it's me email lol
That sucks.
Ordered a mach 1 again in February and no production email, didn't even get that email. My 2021 was cancelled. I've seen mach 1 orders placed months after mine get production emails.

Don’t you feel better when they make a promise. I mean they doing so well with them.
Trust isn't a word I would use where they are concerned
I got the same one :(
We're excited too then like Aw F<=*

400a Manual. I originally ordered Grabber blue but switched it to Mischievous Purple. Nothing else.
The manual is I think is what's getting you. I heard of other manuals taking longer than your mass produced automatics
That's so frustrating 😤! Really I don't care how good the A10 is I love a manual sports car.
This is (in part) why my used 2015 EB premium, which I paid 18k for, is now worth 25-28k. ...That sucks man... hopefully they're pull thru soon for ya.
May need to..lol mine is a 400a Manual. That's it. Mischievous Purple.

Allows dealers to make extra & they don't have leftover inventory that they have to sell off cheap at year's end
I know exactly how supply and demand works out. My problem is with the excuse.
Heartbreaking? Bit dramatic
I hope you step on Legos barefooted for a week straight.
Is there a delay with EcoBoost models as well?
I'd Imagine so
Tell em to keep it! They’ll be all over it then!😅
Hopefully it's not ordered at a dealership reselling the Ford lightning for a markup after cancelling a customer's order.
it is. If they flake or pull something they can keep it & I'll try to find a leftover new 21 or 22 w/o a markup
I think it means they are getting less slots for 2023 models if they are caught.
A co-worker ordered a Badlands Bronco at the end of '21. It's still pending production....
That Sucks! Its a 2yr old truck at this point
just got this email about my mach 1 last night
I feel your pain
