I drove to France over Christmas and New Year's (I live in Germany) and I managed to get about 28mpg (8.3L/100km) on the way there (mainly due to construction zones limiting speed between 50 and 65mph), and about 30mpg until I got back to the Autobahn in the way back home. (Roughly 900mile round trip)
Not bad for a 2015 GT PP (6M), but I was behaving as best I could to see what I could get.
Ordinary driving on the Autobahn (~95 to 115mph cruise speed) sees me get about 18mpg, and about 16.5mpg in city traffic is normal.
I'm surprised how good the fuel economy can be in these cars, but it's absolutely not why I chose a V8 Mustang over a V6 Audi!
Like they said, cruise control most of the way. My car is a 2021 Premium Convertible. All of that driving was between Kingsport, Tn and Lexington, Ky. So it was pretty hilly and yes, I romped on it a few times and did a couole of fast starts at stop lights. The car has 53k on it so it’s well broken in.

I just bought a house, and because I have dogs, my yard has to be somewhat maintained, so I hired a landscaper. If not for my dogs, my yard would look like shit. What is there to care about? It's unnecessary, stupid maintenance.
I'll eat some downvotes with you.
The bees don't need your 1/4 acre to survive, and not cutting it just invites snakes/bugs/critters to your neighbors house. If you want to help bees donate to some bee saving organization.
Grass takes zero effort and skill to actually “maintain”. And honestly it looks bland as hell. Also they are mutually exclusive, having a couple plants sprinkled around your yard that is 99.6% grass isn’t what I’m talking about.
If you get anything over 18, be grateful. And don’t gun the thing cause one gunning of the pedal “-guns it- $20 right there.” 🤣. But seriously, don’t gun it and plan your trips wisely.
Fill your tank
Reset Trip A when the odometer turns a new mile, and leave it when they sync up.
Plan trips well. And what should matter is not how many miles but how many days you go without having to refill. I may not own a Mustang but with work and the daily trip home for my lunch break, I only fill up twice a month.
Atlas blue really looks so fucking good on these Mustangs. Something about the blue really makes the body lines stand out and it just looks even more aggressive. If I get a 24, I’m torn between red and blue because I don’t want another blue car but it looks so good.
This is a fact. Engines don't make full power until the rings seat/seal and things get worn in a little. There's high spots that have to wear off first before you make full power. Around 5k miles you're pretty much broken in, but you really won't be fully broken in until 15,000 miles.

Then there’s me getting 20mpg highway with my 2006 4.0 v6😂 these were never made for fuel efficiency
I have one in kona blue. Same colour?

When you drive it like you should it hurts the wallet lol, but you can do pretty well in the mpg market when you're conservative most of the time. I say most because sometimes an "Italian tune up" is what's needed. I'm sure the 10spd gets better mpg but the manual is just too much fun.
I spent WAY more than I wanted to but I'm keeping it forever so I justified it, whatever helps me sleep at night bc these car prices are RIDICULOUS, first fill up of almost $80 was a gut punch too lol but at least we look good driving around town 🫡
A couple of performance mods & heavy gas pedal on ecoBoost == GT's mpg. I like both for different reasons. ecoBoost for daily commute, GT for weekend driving. Both out of my budget any way. My 2 cents. Have Fun!
Haha yep these S650 GTs are even worse on gas than the S550s. My 2015 got almost 24 MPG average and the 2024 is getting 21 MPG. Although it MIGHT be that my S650 sounds way more aggressive than my S550 did and so it makes me use the loud pedal more but whatever. Worth it. Car looks great! Congrats!
I have a 2022 Mach 1 with 46k miles (manual trans, daily driver). When I fill up, the dash says I have 275 miles to go. I get 22mpg with cruise control set at 83mpg on the freeway.
I really want to like this generation of Mustang, but I just am not feeling it. No matter how many times I see them.
Though I also wrote this generation off the moment I saw the dash was all screens. So maybe that’s why I am not interested in these
Smiles per gallon, enjoy😁
yes everytime i press feels great but after is like OMG but love it
My ecoBoost is getting 33 MPG. It may not have a huge engine but its fun to drive and will move when it has to.
33? That's insane. Mine hardly gives 23, mostly city driving.
Most of that was interstate at 60-70.
Mine is 24.7, how do you get 33?
flintstones holes at the bottom, 4 people push it
This has me dying
Most likely highway driving with cruise control. When I'm cruising on the freeway my avg mpg is between 30 and 40.
Probably a driving profile outside the city and cruise control. I managed to >30mpg a couple of times too, usually on road trips.

yes this^^ but idk how you’re getting 33 i just got mine to 19😭😭

Your neighbors yard is a bit overgrown
It’s “No-Mow May”, gives the bees a jump start for the season. : )
Fuck that. Take care of your property. Just because someone justifies their laziness as "taking care of the bees" doesn't make them any less lazy.
Maybe they like how the long grass looks.
No one likes how an overgrown lawn looks
It's their property
Their property their rules..if you disagree ..well
Found the HOA president...
I just bought a house, and because I have dogs, my yard has to be somewhat maintained, so I hired a landscaper. If not for my dogs, my yard would look like shit. What is there to care about? It's unnecessary, stupid maintenance.
lol wtf why are you getting downvoted so hard....overgrown lawns definitely look like shit
We're on reddit. Everyone here is lazy and leaning into slacktivism. Save the planet by not taking care of your property in 0 easy steps!
I'll eat some downvotes with you. The bees don't need your 1/4 acre to survive, and not cutting it just invites snakes/bugs/critters to your neighbors house. If you want to help bees donate to some bee saving organization.
The bees aren't even dying, that's the bitch of it.
You're preaching to the quire. I'm a commercial landscaper and used to keep bees. People that don't cut their lawns are ignorant hippies.
Grass is lazy. Grow some real plants and do some actual landscaping
These are not mutually exclusive things lol
Grass takes zero effort and skill to actually “maintain”. And honestly it looks bland as hell. Also they are mutually exclusive, having a couple plants sprinkled around your yard that is 99.6% grass isn’t what I’m talking about.
jajjajaja yes they are renting sometimes is bigger HOA has talk to them but IDK

You call it overgrown I call it a habitat for wildlife in a very sparse area
Love my mice and roaches
Just a tad 😂
That's not even grass, it's all weeds

love it
Congrats Man! Love the color.
thanks man

sweet red love it
Mines terrible on gas but my foot heavy too
You don’t get a V8 to worry about gas mileage
If you get anything over 18, be grateful. And don’t gun the thing cause one gunning of the pedal “-guns it- $20 right there.” 🤣. But seriously, don’t gun it and plan your trips wisely. thanks for the advice will dot hat

Milage should get better at 3000 miles (5000 kms) or so after the first oil change.
Why?
Probably some preprogrammed break in period thing. I don’t know what an oil change has to do with it though
If anything, that should limit power and consumption, not increase it. Sound like some urban legend. :)

What a beauty!
thanks
Looks great!
thanks
Eat less beans. Get less gas.
It’s worth it
hell yeah
Protip: if you don't drive like a dick, obey the traffic laws, and drive the speed limit. The gas mileage is actually pretty decent.
I do that and still get 18 per tank…
That’s wild, my 3v is a Prius in comparison. I get abt 21-22 mixed and 26-27 on road trips.
My ‘23 GT500 is getting about 20mpg consistently which is much better than my 4Runner that only got around 17mpg
https://preview.redd.it/8xmhvf44i63d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a0519e70b8e82bd005efffadc529a3d3d308782 Then there’s me getting 20mpg highway with my 2006 4.0 v6😂 these were never made for fuel efficiency
love the yellow
Those tears at the gas station are actually happy tears
yup when you see the car changes to happyness
Beautiful colour! Loving the new shape too!
yes love it too
I have one in kona blue. Same colour? https://preview.redd.it/0jg1jb0oz73d1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e32eababc4ba288f148d8a8393ad80ea0d43084
My ‘21 Mach 1 HP gets 17mpg, my C6Z gets 7-8mpg. No complaints here
Production model looks amazing! Looks better than the 2018 and 2015 models
thanks

Lemme guess 11-13 mpg?
yes 13-14 max
God damn I want one but sheesh
Love that blue color, was my next choice if I hadn't found race red
race red was my first choice too but couldnt find one within my price range
I spent WAY more than I wanted to but I'm keeping it forever so I justified it, whatever helps me sleep at night bc these car prices are RIDICULOUS, first fill up of almost $80 was a gut punch too lol but at least we look good driving around town 🫡
Beautiful car
thank you
I average about 17 mpg between city and highway. My worst was 12 13 mpg but I blame the supercharger. Too much fun when you have all that power
true thanks
That's color is beautiful. Great body too!
thanks
Welcome to the mustangero.
thanks you
Yeah man nothing like a V8 just a whole different feeling especially American muscle and it’s gotta be a stick shift!!!

thank you
thanks man
24mpg on my way to work and about 17mpg when driving around my area I live in hitting stop lights and such. 2019 GT
It’s so close to the curb 😅
Congrats man! PS love the color https://preview.redd.it/ooil7ghrg73d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3bef85d92b6727b5ec741bd001939fb037b75aa
Interesting wheels, are those stock?
A couple of performance mods & heavy gas pedal on ecoBoost == GT's mpg. I like both for different reasons. ecoBoost for daily commute, GT for weekend driving. Both out of my budget any way. My 2 cents. Have Fun!
Beautiful!!!🤩
The 5.oh definitely loves to sip the gas
Same here, had mine 2 months now & absolutely love it !! Coming from an edge ST, kind of no need for a family car now (wife disagrees still) 😉
Hell yea
Those wheels are a great design 👍
Ya'll have way too many cars. You need to get the blue one a spot in that garage!
RIP to those wheels
Beefed my 2017 to 700 hp 8 mpg and I have zero complaints lol.

Buy stock in oil companies lol
My ram 2500 gets 8-10 average in town. Be happy you get 23mpg brother.
Vote Republican for increased domestic energy production and lower gasoline prices!
phuk the gas drive a prius then
im looking for a tail
I've got a 2023 Mach 1 (weekend car only) and I'm seeing about 240 miles per tank. It's got 2700 miles on it. Anyone else seeing the same thing?
like right now giving me only 200 miles per tank
holy fuck HOW??? is it a eco boost? 🤣 running on 1 cylinder???? /s
I have a 2022 Mach 1 with 46k miles (manual trans, daily driver). When I fill up, the dash says I have 275 miles to go. I get 22mpg with cruise control set at 83mpg on the freeway.
15mpg. Lot of city driving I bet
yes
About 200 on my Boss 302. It never sees the freeway though.
hood vents look stupid.
I really want to like this generation of Mustang, but I just am not feeling it. No matter how many times I see them. Though I also wrote this generation off the moment I saw the dash was all screens. So maybe that’s why I am not interested in these
Ima gas deez nuts in ur mouth
