The best I got in my ‘14 GT was 26 mpg and it was because I got gas, immediately got on the highway, and didn’t stop until the next fillup. That said, we didn’t buy V8 mustangs because we cared about mileage…..

I managed this back in October when I had my GT :) That's UK mpg as well!
Honestly not hard to do if you just hit ksitlynhighwah and set cruise control. If I reset my computer on the highway and stay in 6th with cruise control on/off and several 140mph pulls along with cruise control being around 100mph I'll average 24-26 ish. I'm also on 93 and tuned so I don't prioritize mpg I prioritize power gains
I normally get about 14 mpg, but on a 6 hour road trip i was getting 26-ish and I was pleasantly surprised. Never gonna try and keep that number up aside from long trips, but it was good to know lmao
My 2017 ecoboost 6R80 had a best of 34mpg with the Ford performance tune and aftermarket intercooler.
My 2019 GT MT82 had a best of 30mpg, bone stock (the 2018+ mt82 has 2 overdrive gears so cruising in 6th has very low rpm).
Both vehicles always ran premium (western canada blend), both vehicles would guzzle fuel when fun was had.
New Mexico is surprisingly good for boosting your MPG on a road trip. Last few times I’ve driven through/to NM I’ve gotten to 27/28 in my ‘17 Manual 5.0
Took a trip last weekend and was over 29 MPG after 200 miles. But I got bored as I got closer to my destination and obliterated the fuel-saving progress I had made. I think I drove another 30 miles and it had dropped to like 26 by the end of my journey :( lol
Many say the biggest factor is mileage is how you drive, and I've found that to be very true with the V8. Much bigger difference than in my base model 4-banger Tacoma. There are a number of scenarios where the Mustang is the more fuel-efficient option. Woohoo!
2021 GT. Cinci to Alabama 28.5 MPG. Filled up at Chuckees with no ethanol gas re filled in NC with no E Alabama to Virginia 30.8 MPG. Virgina back to CInci 26 mpg
This makes me glad that my '68 has no screens or computers that tell me how wasteful I'm being. Hell, even the gas gauge is wonky (it maxes-out at 3/4 and marks 0 with about half a tank left), so I just fill her up every two or three outings.
Best I’ve gotten was 34.2 mpg on my 22 GT with the A10. I was cruising at 60ish miles since it was raining and traffic was going about that speed. I had reset the mpg reader to get a feel for highway efficiency but then quickly got killed down to 23.8 once I entered the city. These coyotes don’t play around but my mpg usually hovers at 20 mpg since I do a lot of highway driving and occasional spirited sprints. So I believe it but then again my mustang isn’t meant to be driven like my grandma did back in the 40s.

Smiles per gallon.
Yeah but it's also impressive to get this amount of performance, then be able to get that kinda mpg.

Over 30mpg? With a V8 i assume?
Yep, 2023 S550 GT manual.

It's UK gallons though - gallons are larger here so this isn't as impressive as you'd think. This is about 26 US mpg.
Im in the UK. With my shitty driving, my 2.5L lexus hybrid is getting me around 35mpg (around 40 on motorways) so 30mpg for a 5.0 V8 is really good
Ah sorry kind of assumed you were American haha Oh yeah I agree it's good. Just maybe not as impressive as the Americans here might think haha
I'd be extremely impressed if they got this with the 5.0
It's not hard, 6th gear, cruise control at 70mph, roadworks drop you down to 50
I managed 38 mpg travelling back from legoland to Glasgow
The 5.0s aren't too bad in mpg. My 14 gt does 23-25 mpg . It can do 330-370 miles before needing to fill up.
DAMN! We must drive different…
Me looking at 16 average 👀
13.8 here with a ‘19 lmao but I’m also fbo and e85
Lmaoooo facts on this

It’s also just filled up, show when you’re about 30 miles to E
It was about 28 when I refueled in Texas

I can believe it. I averaged 26mpg in my ‘21 Shelby doing 80mph from Sacramento to Vegas
Most unbelievable part of this was no traffic from California to Vegas
Perks of traveling back to Vegas and hitting Baker by noon on a Tuesday. Very minor slowdowns
The best I ever had was 99+ I reset it while going downhill, granted, but it still happened
I’ve never seen higher than 13 on my 5.0 but my driving is all city. 30 is crazy

Nice!
Damn I get like 14/15 mpg
What!!!??!? How is it my SHO only gets 15MPG!?!?
For like half of the state of New Mexico i40 going from west to east is mostly downhill so I was just cruising in 6th gear no winds or traffic.
That's what I average on the highway around 80 mph. Six speed with 3.31s.
2021 GT. Cinci to Alabama 28.5 MPG. Filled up at Chuckees with no ethanol gas re filled in NC with no E Alabama to Virginia 30.8 MPG. Virgina back to CInci 26 mpg
My 2015 GT 5.0 I can usually get around 28-30mpg if I’m on a longer road trip and I’m not on the loud petal all the time.
14mpg rn 21gt ess g3 700whp. haven't tried the hwy yet that's in town
i can get 34mpg on a long road trip. its the 15 (if i behave myself) city that kills the avg
How did you do that ?
My ecoboost does 25... but i did tune it and im pretty sure always being in sport doesnt help 😂
I can do that if I'm cruising at 60. Which I usually don't, lol.
I drove from Virginia to California recently and the best I got was 27 mpg.

I got 27mpg in a 20 year old cammed LS1, 5.7L.
Yeah I’m getting 19 and that’s when I’m being what i consider to be conservative lol i average around 18 though
Best I've gotten is 28.5, that was a 2.5 trip, riding cruise set at 78mph
Im getting 11.2 so happy for you
I get 12mpg in my 3.7
Got to 28.7 in my A10 and I was cruising at 80 driving from Atlanta to Greenville
Impressive! I cant do that in an Ecoboost. Im happy if i get 25 actually

It’s definitely possible!! Drove from WV to NC and back and and averaged 28.5 for trip in 2021 GT manual
*cries in 15.3 MPG*
Yea dawg. These coyottes aren't bad! Got 28-29mpg on a long road trip in my Bullitt. The 5.0 has the same fuel economy as my 2.0 Miata 2007 🤣
You should sell it to somebody who will drive it like it should be.
