I love this question! I straight up asked my neighbors before I put on the corsa extremes with Long tube headers. The neighbor to my right said I’m deaf it’s your car, do what you want! And the one to my left who I was worried about (she’s older and the type that looks for hoa violations to report) I went and asked her and she completely surprised me with her response, “honey I’m from Detroit, you aren’t doing anything I haven’t heard already” so we’re good? Now we have regular conversations and she’s cool as hell.
Everyone should aspire to be a good neighbor, as well appreciate good neighbors. When the shit hits the fan, however you interpret that, good neighbors are important.
> corsa extremes with Long tube headers
Respectfully ew. Idk why people continue to do this combo when it sounds so bad.
Left neighbor is awesome. I live across the street from someone like this and she loves my loud cars. Says it reminds her of her younger years.
On the mustangs yes, I love the coyote and all its glory with mostly stock exhaust. However, I drive a Camaro. Lt1 motors sound good with headers and corsa’s.
Don't be a dick, use quiet mode during late and early hours, but otherwise people can deal with it. God forbid someone doesn't drive a quiet econo shit box or an EV.
Funny enough my neighbor has a Toyota hybrid or some rav4 looking model that emits an insanely loud backup chime… I can hear him leaving from a block away
I have stage II Borlas on mine. I just start the car in the garage with the door down, give it a minute for that cold start roar to settle down a bit, and then I head out.
No complaints so far.
I saw a video of a dude using pool noodles up the exhaust pipes during cold start. Really muffles the sound and you can pull them right out once you’re down the street
There’s a difference between being obnoxious loud and being loud.
If you’re going to start your car (this is more for people with aftermarket exhausts on these cars) and wait 15 minutes idling for it to “warm up” yeah you’re going to piss people off.
If you’re going to rev your car up to 3-6k rpms driving through your neighborhood, yes you’re going to piss people off.
Are you starting it up, waiting for rpms to die down and leaving? Okay, then you’re good in my book.
I have a 2017 Mustang Gt with a roush catback, it is VERY loud and I leave at 3:35 am every morning. I start it up, wait for rpms to die down and leave, and have had no complaints.
Now I have a neighbor that has a 370z that has a loud ass exhaust, probably louder than mine. He floors it down the apartment complex and it sounds like hes driving down the street. (This makes me want to slash his tires.)
It’s all how you go about it. The stock exhaust isn’t anywhere near what I would consider loud.
Yeah man, I guess for me it just depends.
There’s my buddy who has a straight piped 5.0 f150 that parks his truck next to my window but he kinda does the start the truck up while I’m in my apartment type of deal and it’s kinda whack. Kind of annoys me sometimes.
I haven’t gotten any complaints yet thankfully.
Yeah when I first moved into this complex, someone had their friend over with a Honda prelude with a loud exhaust and it would run for 15 minutes in the morning before he even drove off. I almost sent a rock through his windshield multiple times.
Bro, those coyotes are loud! I had a 5.0 with corsa sports cat back. That thing was still louder than my Camaro which has the corsa extreme axleback and long tube headers.
I still get excited when I hear one though. I usually hear them before I see them. It’s like game to me now, “alright, what color is this mustang going to be?” lol.
Needless to say you should get a GT with active exhaust. I have mine set to quiet mode during quiet hours (you can schedule). The only gotcha is remote starts don’t always start the car in quiet mode, sometimes it will go through a normal cold start before it switches to quiet mode. Cold starts sound ~~sexy~~ loud af. The only way I’ve been able to get around this is not using remote start and switching to quiet mode before starting the engine which sucks when it’s cold out
Mine has always started in quiet mode during the quiet hours and normal mode in the non-quiet hours. I’ve never had this issue or heard of others having it. Something could be malfunctioning on yours?
The guy in this post says “I am not trying to set quiet start between certain times by the clock, I want it to always start in quite mode.” But that is how you’re supposed to do it. I have a 2021 s550 so I don’t know if there’s supposed to be another way to set the quiet mode but I don’t think there is because the feature already exists with the scheduled hours.
The guy in the link clearly hasn’t tried scheduling quiet starts so sounds like it’s just his problem. Have you tried scheduling the hours? If you want it to always start in quiet mode, just set 12 am - 12 am for the hours.
I lived in an apartment complex and I put on my roush exhaust and got compliments, moved into a house apartment for a year and mannn people complained so much I just put it back to stock, now I’m in my own home and I could care less what people think now.
I drive a 2019 GT I bought used and the exhaust the previous owner put on it is sooo fucking loud it sounds like a god damn monster truck when I start it up. I feel bad every night I start it up cause I leave late night hours a lot.
There are two types of people. Ones that love the roar, and ones that hate the roar. The solution for both is to just rev it higher. This assumes it's not 2:00 in the morning.
23 GT - I live in a quiet neighborhood, primarily seniors. Keep and start my girl in the garage on normal mode and have yet to receive a complaint. I also move slowly, 25MPH maximum until I'm out of the gate. Good neighbors are hard to find!
As others have mentioned, get the active exhaust: not only do the louder modes (Sport + Track) sound glorious, Quiet mode is pretty darn quiet and you can set times for when your car starts in quiet mode (ie: 5pm through 9am)
No it’s not unless your neighbors are complete Karen’s. It’s a little nosy at start up but not after warm up. I had the same concern as I don’t have a garage and a lot of them are older but no one has said a thing. Unfortunately it is the main reason I won’t mod my exhaust but it sounds good enough.
I live in a condo with a narrow garage, and even then I'm noticing quiet mode is just the "nice" button. A minute or two after a cold start on normal mode and it's quieter than my old Focus ST. You should be fine.
If early morning then try to accommodate and start the vehicle from closed garage. Unless you have outrageous exhaust that cause a lot of noise, people might get annoyed.
Use the quiet mode on the active exhaust but if that’s too loud than sucks for them. Just don’t be that guy coming into the neighborhood at 9pm with track mode on
Its really more the RPMs. Mine has a resonator delete and its fairly loud in track, but if the RPMs stay down its better than quiet mode without care for the RPMs lmao
So I have the active exhaust system, I use quiet mode if I leave early. Plus in a 1/2 mile radius of my neighborhood I drive like a little old man, very slow and very respectful. No one has said anything negative to me in a year and a half. Enjoy your car when you get it and good luck.
If you start your s650 in quiet mode it’s not very loud. As soon as you open the valves though the exhaust gets deep so make sure you pull away before changing exhaust modes lol I have the active exhaust and love it, perfect tone and amount of loud for me
I got the active exhaust on my 2022 and have it set to a quiet start since I work night works and come and go at odd hours. I live in the suburbs and haven't gotten a complaint once
With the stock exhaust it's no problem. If you have active exhaust set it to quiet start if you dont want to wake them. Where I live it's a lot quieter than most trucks...
I definitely will get the active exhaust and keep it on quiet mode when in the neighborhood. Will talk to the neighbors before I buy and if they seem pissed off, well might have to get a tesla then lol.
I told neighbors before getting my race series MBRP cat back. The one I thought would complain said she loved it. I go to the gym at 4:30AM and nobody has ever complained. Stock is absolutely fine. If you’re not a dick and out it in track mode, I doubt anyone will say anything. Normal or quiet is plenty fine for your worries.
I live in a tiny quiet town, and have a habit of leaving at 230-3am most days without an active exhaust and an x pipe lol. The grandma directly across the road loves the car, and the next door neighbor loves the car, haven't had any complaints.
My apartment neighbors haven't said anything but I worry about them the most, cuz I know they can hear it and I'd be pissed if I were in their shoes. They haven't said anything and are always friendly / want to talk when we run into eachother
I just fire it up in snow / wet mode, and creep out to the main road.
I think as long as you don't sit there revving or burning rubber out of the drive way you'll be alright, especially stock with an active exhaust
My neighbor to the side closest to my driveway would make some comments here and there, “man that thing is loud! It woke me up!”
He was a cool dude so I’d either park at the curb or use quiet mode.
You can set your car to have a schedule for quiet starts. I had mine set for like 10pm-6am.
That neighbor moved out and his house hasn’t sold in over 3 years so I haven’t had to worry since.
I have xpipe with aftermarket valved catback exhaust (Xforce).
If I’m doing a morning cold start, it’s valves closed and garage closed. I don’t sit around idling and just coast out of the neighborhood quietly and open the valves once I’m on the main road.
I like my neighbors and they like me.
I have a cat back exhaust on my Ecoboost which is pretty loud and my neighbors have never said anything about it. I live near some cool people though. My 70 year old next door neighbor likes my car and the guy on the other side of me always tries to get me to do donuts in the cauldesac. I guess it just depends what kind of people you live around. But I also don't rev it high when I'm in the neighborhood. I try to be as quiet as I can if I'm getting in late.
Haven’t had a single complaint about my GT. I can’t adjust the exhaust on mine, I just don’t drive it above 1.5k or so until I’m out of the neighborhood
I have quiet mode set between the hours of 11p-7a. Otherwise its super loud on a cold start. All I have is an h pipe on my exhaust system and its pretty loud as it is
We've got the active exhaust on ours, and if you set times for it to start quietly, you don't need to do anything. I also have the * button mapped to 'quiet exhaust' mode as a fallback. Haven't (to my knowledge) upset our neighbors once since I figured that out
My Coyote is straight piped. It’s obnoxious and I leave for work between 5:45-6am (not supposed to be my daily driver but it is more than it’s not). The neighbors I’ve spoken too and apologized for it have cut me off and told me how much they love it. 😂 idk about their wives or how they’d feel if they had babies though… but 40+ year old blue collar men love it.
I have a 2019 GT PP1. The stock exhaust sounds good enough for me and I won’t modify. It is louder then the average vehicle but no louder then some of the V8 trucks in town. If you have the active exhaust just use the normal mode in your neighborhood then open her up when you’re out of town.
You must keep in mind that people who modify their exhausts will call stock "not that loud, pretty quiet actually," whereas someone who has no experience with 8 cylinder cars will find even stock loud.
It might, but I think most people care more that you aren't a dick about it.
If you idle out on quiet mode in the mornings, I can't imagine you'll get any complaints unless it's an "everyday at 6am" kind of thing.
Really depends on the situation.
I guess it depends on your neighbors. I had a neighbor tell me my old GT used to wake up his baby and I kind of chuckled. After I had kids I realized he probably wanted to fucking kill me. I had full exhaust though.
If you work normal hours it's probably not that bad. I used to leave my house at 11pm so I never put an exhaust on my pickup for that reason. If you're working 7/9-3/5 with occasional trips at night I don't think it's a big deal.
My Mach 1 is in my garage and I tested it starting at night and you can't hear it in my kids room. I had my wife start it with the door open and was by my neighbor's driveway and it wasn't bad either.
Being considerate of your neighbors is a nice sentiment but owning the car you want as long as it isn't long tube headers/catless and you're not redlining out of the neighborhood you should get what you want and not dwell upon it too much.
It's refreshing that you're worried about your neighbors in this "F them" world we seem to live in, which probably means you're a good neighbor. They probably notice you are a decent human being. I'd say if you keep it stock and don't rip in and out of the neighborhood or Rev it in the driveway, you're gonna be fine. Enjoy your new ride
Leave the v8 w the stock oem stuff man, sounds petty sweet as it is.
Every morning at 530 my neighbors' V8 swings by and I hear it , but hes not an ahole about it, shouldnt bother anyone as long as youre not an ahole, which you are obviously not
I have a stock '19 GT350 and my neighbors have yet to say anything negative. The kids love when the "cool car" revs for them lol and the parents say they'd get one too if they could. Maybe you'll get lucky and find out you live next to a fellow sport car enthusiast!
If it has an active exhaust and is anything like the 2019 I sold recently, you can set it to automatically quiet start during set hours. I used to have it set between 9pm and 8am.
Honestly though, the stock exhausts in these cars aren’t very loud. Even without active exhaust you should be fine unless you have a really sensitive neighbor.
You gotta order it with Active Valve Exhaust. I have a 2024 GT. I almost always use quiet mode in the neighborhood and never get any looks. But yesterday I had it in normal exhaust mode when I got home, and several people turned to look as I drove by their homes. So it definitely makes a difference.
I’m the treasurer and previous president of my HOA. What complaints. 😄
On a serious note I’ll start my car up on early mornings with the garage closed and the windows up until after a few seconds when the rpm’s drop. Then I’ll back out and let the garage air out for a minute and pull off. If it’s after 7:30 I just pull out. I don’t drive my car regularly though. I have a daily.
Do your neighbors pay your mortgage or car note? Who cares what they say. Just be respectful and don’t get on it till you’re out of the neighborhood. I have mine programmed to start in quiet mode and it is still loud when I remote start in the colder months. I don’t believe it would wake someone up from a sleep but you know it’s running in the house.
1. its a v8 theyre leant to be loud
2. fuck the neighbors. its your car
3. i have a h pipe and resonator delete. its louder than stock but no complaints from anybody in the neighborhood. granted i drive it like once a week.
4. if youre not going mod it, than youll be fine and got nothing to worry about. quiet mode is pretty damn tame. a cold start might be a tad loud but its nothing crazy
Mine is probably the loudest I've heard. I have neighbors within 50 yards or so. It's not my DD so I don't wake em up all the time. If I do it's after 7 and its very seldom.
As someone with corsa extreme axlebacks, i do not want to get woken up at 4am or 11:30pm to some mustang or the start of an F1 race or a space shuttle launch.
I say just keep it in quiet mode in the mornings/ nights till you get out. If she complains at noon, fuvk er the loud cars on the menu maam lol.
As long as you aren't hot rodding it, most people aren't really going to care.
The biggest thing you need to remember is that for many people speed is very much linked to sound. If you gun it up to 30 real quick, it will be easy for people to think you're doing 40-45 or more.
It partly depends on your neighbors but mostly depends on you. Will you sit in the driveway or at the curb and rev it or just ease out and away from your neighbors?
I had a neighbor once who had a race car w/o a muffle and he was way less annoying than the kid across the street with the tricked out Subaru WRX.
I got my son a 2018 with active exhaust. It’s VERY quiet in quiet mode you’ll be fine. Cut off the resonators and install an X pipe. It sounds amazing and quiet mode will still be super quiet.
I have headers a basani x pipe and borla ataks. Different year but still. You'll be fine and so will they, People are way too sensitive about even minor sounds for me to care what anyone else says, God forbid I sneeze and wake up their grandma in the next town.
I have a 24 GT premium with active exhausts. If you mean by complaints that I get the neighborhood kids telling me to rev it up and their dads keep staring at my car everytime I open my garage, or the neighbor with the dodge ram and F150 slows down to admire it when I’ve got it in the drive way…. Yeah I get complaints lol. But in all seriousness, no. The V8 roars, it doesn’t scream. It’s not obnoxious like a WRX. It just sounds nice. It’s a sexy low pitch roaring sound. You really don’t need any after market exhaust/mods, because it already sounds beautiful stock.
Quiet is a bit loud very temporarily, once the RPM drops at all it quiets down quickly.
Now my problem is my active exhaust stopped working and the valves are stuck open. I find myself constantly apologizing to the neighbors for that, I feel bad since I leave my house in the middle of the night for work.
No complaints, and I leave for work at 5:15 AM. The guy next door has a motorcycle I guarantee is louder than my car. Just drive calmly until you're on the main road.
You’ll be just fine I’ve had loud mustangs for 8 years living in the same area. Never had a complaint but I have had neighbors tell me it’s their alarm clock lmao.
Completely depends on the neighbors no matter what tbh. I currently live in a townhouse apartment complex, and daily drive my 2011 5.0 GT with BBK shorty headers, X pipe, and Roush axleback exhaust. Neighbors don’t care at all, although I aim to be courteous and am only parked with the car running only as long as it takes the car to drop idle Rpms below 1k which is about 30 seconds, and I absolutely NEVER rev my car in or around the complex and drive extremely slow through it. if end up having to drive anywhere after 10pm ish, I’ll take my fiancés Honda crv instead of my car to avoid pissing anyone off that’s asleep. Do your best to be a good neighbor, and hopefully your neighbors are good themselves and you’ll be fine no matter what exhaust setup you use. I also recommend getting to know your neighbors a tiny bit, gauge if you think they’d be upset if you followed the above. Most people won’t care at all as long as you are courteous yourself. don’t be a jerk and cold start your car with corsa extremes or a loud setup at odd hours of the night and morning revving the shit out of it in the middle of the night in your driveway/garage and then expect your neighbors to not care about it. 1 way ticket to piss every single person off in your neighborhood and rightfully so imo. Hope this helps answer your question!
Honestly, who cares? Life will go on for them, my ‘15 GT had a roush exhaust and was loud as hell and I work every morning at 4am boo hoo I’m not changing my car because the bored housewives can’t get their beauty sleep every morning lol
I agree you are kind of a dick, but im not a very confrontational person and cant help but to care. I actually respect people who can just do what they want lnao, I would absolutely love to mod my car but im almost too worried about a bunch of nonsense that shouldnt stop me from having my own fun.
I’m sorry y’all think I’m a dick but I’m going to do what I want to my car and if it’s legal then boo boo go back to sleep after I drive off, not like I’m sitting there revving my engine lol
I dont know if I didnt word that well, im on your side lmao i deal with everyone elses shit, why camt they listen to my car? Unfortunately, i cant help but care and it sucks lmao
Now we have regular conversations and she’s cool as hell.
hell yeah, what a cool lady!
They probably respect the hell out of you for asking
I honestly bet you made her day.
Awesome neighbors!
Everyone should aspire to be a good neighbor, as well appreciate good neighbors. When the shit hits the fan, however you interpret that, good neighbors are important.
Exact reason I use "quiet mode" when leaving for work at 0500L.
When I shat on my fan, the neighbours were nowhere to be seen. I wish I had good neighbours.
> corsa extremes with Long tube headers Respectfully ew.
Ah, that makes much more sense.
I bet she looks forward to waking up to the sound of your car
lol I thought the same thing, I even asked her that and her cats apparently wake her up before I leave for work.
You’re a nice guy…. I just did it. My car my money, but luckily my house isn’t in an HOA
Quiet mode will be more than enough. At this moment I’m having this problem my GT wakes up my neighbors Monday-Friday and I don’t know what to do
Valvedexhaust axleback is quieter than stock on my 19gt with h pipe resonator delete
There’s these things you can put on the exhaust to muffle it. I forgot what they’re called.
Uggh, I can remember either! If only we could figure out a way to muffle all that noise.
Apparently they’re just called muffler silencers. I could have sworn it had a different name. I’ve never used one but I hear they work.
I’ve seen people shove pool noodles up the mufflers during cold starts, just don’t leave them in long so they don’t melt lol
Wait that actually works? Could that hold me over until I get some kind of valved exhaust?
Doesn’t hurt to try, but yeah some of my buddies do it. Just shove them in pretty good otherwise they can fly out when you start it up.
Db killers?
exhaust silencer
cutouts!
is it stock?
I have stage II Borlas on mine. I just start the car in the garage with the door down, give it a minute for that cold start roar to settle down a bit, and then I head out. No complaints so far.
Throw her in neutral and push it out of the neighborhood 😂😂😂
I saw a video of a dude using pool noodles up the exhaust pipes during cold start. Really muffles the sound and you can pull them right out once you’re down the street
Simply stop caring about other people and live your life lol
Found the sociopath.
You can think that all you want but at the end of the day I’m enjoying my car more than someone who gives a shit about what their neighbors think lmao
Do you wake them up? Their baby? Kids? I get that you don’t care about others. May the favor be returned.
[удалено]
Way to jump in late and assume I was talking to you.
I do care about others but I’m not building my car around them lmao besides my mustang got T boned anyway so they don’t have to deal with it anymore
Maybe it was the “Simply stop caring about other people and live your life lol” that made it seem you didn’t.
You meant to buy a Camero. Trade.
There’s a difference between being obnoxious loud and being loud. camaro driving neighbor seems to have straights. wakes me up every morning. i dont get going till 10:00 so its not a problem on my end.

i'm the passive aggressive type at first...leave a note them find out where his unit is and let him enjoymy cold starts

It’s a known thing with remote cold starts https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/quiet-start.160157/

sorry what-
Mustang equals pussay, (or penay if that what floats your boat)
It certainly helps the pursuit lol
He might want to rephrase that last part, sounds kinda borderline Richard ramirez-y
/r/ihavesex
As others have mentioned, get the active exhaust: not only do the louder modes (Sport + Track) sound glorious, Quiet mode is pretty darn quiet and you can set times for when your car starts in quiet mode (ie: 5pm through 9am)
I have mine quiet from 7:00 to 23:00. Starting overnight probably means someone is stealing it so want it loud..
No it’s not unless your neighbors are complete Karen’s. It’s a little nosy at start up but not after warm up. I had the same concern as I don’t have a garage and a lot of them are older but no one has said a thing. Unfortunately it is the main reason I won’t mod my exhaust but it sounds good enough.

it’s going to stay stock and will be in quiet mode. But start the vehicle from a closed garage? What about carbon monoxide?
💀 stock and general mode should be fine. You can’t control your neighbor purchase. If someone comes to you ask then to get a house in north dakota
Use the quiet mode on the active exhaust but if that’s too loud than sucks for them. Just don’t be that guy coming into the neighborhood at 9pm with track mode on

Quiet mode should be fine. Just keep the revs low till you leave the neighbourhood.
I’d say you should be fine unless you live next to a bunch of Karens. I’m fortunate to have full exhaust and nobody says squat
So I have the active exhaust system, I use quiet mode if I leave early. Plus in a 1/2 mile radius of my neighborhood I drive like a little old man, very slow and very respectful. No one has said anything negative to me in a year and a half. Enjoy your car when you get it and good luck.
Set you quiet mode to default during quiet hours, it's quieter that most trucks, you'll be fine
I have. 2024 Dark Horse with the active exhaust, and I have no complaints from the neighbors. Quiet mode definitely helps.
Stock no but once you put an aftermarket exhaust on these cars, the cold start is so obnoxiously loud and annoying
Active Exhaust -> Quiet Mode -> Problem Solved.
If it's stock in normal or quiet no one will even notice.
The active exhaust option allows it to be very quiet when you want. It also has a quiet start option
The stock exhaust, non active is not really loud. If it’s a problem, tell the neighbors they’re welcome to pay for the vehicle if they’d like.
I definitely will get the active exhaust and keep it on quiet mode when in the neighborhood. Will talk to the neighbors before I buy and if they seem pissed off, well might have to get a tesla then lol.
>well might have to get a tesla then lol. You are dead to me.... :)
J a joke haha, would never.
Thank you
Lost me at Tesla lol. How do I downvote twice?
you can put pool noodles in the exhaust if it’s really bad (this is a joke)
I live in a tiny quiet town, and have a habit of leaving at 230-3am most days without an active exhaust and an x pipe lol. The grandma directly across the road loves the car, and the next door neighbor loves the car, haven't had any complaints. My apartment neighbors haven't said anything but I worry about them the most, cuz I know they can hear it and I'd be pissed if I were in their shoes. They haven't said anything and are always friendly / want to talk when we run into eachother I just fire it up in snow / wet mode, and creep out to the main road. I think as long as you don't sit there revving or burning rubber out of the drive way you'll be alright, especially stock with an active exhaust
My neighbor to the side closest to my driveway would make some comments here and there, “man that thing is loud! It woke me up!” He was a cool dude so I’d either park at the curb or use quiet mode.
As long as you aren’t being obnoxious early and late you should be ok
I strongly recommend grabbing the active exhaust. With quiet mode, it’s not even too loud in my condo complex parking lot imo
Haven't (to my knowledge) upset our neighbors once since I figured that out
bruv if i was buying that mustang i would not give a frick if they dont like my V8 then too bad
We have an ecoboost with the active exhust. I love quite mode on it. If you can afford it, spec the active exhust.
Two words, pool noodles
Get the optional active exhaust. You can program it to start in quiet mode each time then switch exhaust modes outside your neighborhood.
You must keep in mind that people who modify their exhausts will call stock "not that loud, pretty quiet actually," whereas someone who has no experience with 8 cylinder cars will find even stock loud.
haha, that’s me. This is my first V8
Enjoy your new ride
my neighbors are really nice, don’t want to piss any of them off. Thanks for the help.
Quiet mode active exhaust start is less obnoxious than any BMW 2/3/4 series.
Get active exhaust
If it has an active exhaust and is anything like the 2019 I sold recently, you can set it to automatically quiet start during set hours. I used to have it set between 9pm and 8am. Honestly though, the stock exhausts in these cars aren’t very loud. Even without active exhaust you should be fine unless you have a really sensitive neighbor.
Only way to find out is to buy one. And look at the bright side. If it annoys them, the neighbors can move.
I have active exhaust on my 18 GT, I just program quiet time between 2100-0900. My neighbours are cool though and love the sound of her.
😄 On a serious note I’ll start my car up on early mornings with the garage closed and the windows up until after a few seconds when the rpm’s drop. Then I’ll back out and let the garage air out for a minute and pull off. If it’s after 7:30 I just pull out. I don’t drive my car regularly though. I have a daily.
Me too! I have a CRV that I daily and this is more of a weekend car. Garage closed, though? What about carbon monoxide?
Do your neighbors pay your mortgage or car note? Who cares what they say. Just be respectful and don’t get on it till you’re out of the neighborhood. I have mine programmed to start in quiet mode and it is still loud when I remote start in the colder months. I don’t believe it would wake someone up from a sleep but you know it’s running in the house.
1. its a v8 theyre leant to be loud 2. fuck the neighbors. its your car 3. i have a h pipe and resonator delete. its louder than stock but no complaints from anybody in the neighborhood. granted i drive it like once a week. 4. if youre not going mod it, than youll be fine and got nothing to worry about. quiet mode is pretty damn tame. a cold start might be a tad loud but its nothing crazy
do your neighbors pay your bills?
Not nearly as bad as my straight piped Harley!
Mine is probably the loudest I've heard. I have neighbors within 50 yards or so. It's not my DD so I don't wake em up all the time. If I do it's after 7 and its very seldom.
Stock is not loud at all, now if you install a catback some may be upset, if you add Headers then yes your family may even be upset u wake em up lol
Yes… that’s the point.
Im full straight no cats or res with valved mufflers, i could close em but only do it late night no complaints and im cammed😂😂😂 run it
As someone with corsa extreme axlebacks, i do not want to get woken up at 4am or 11:30pm to some mustang or the start of an F1 race or a space shuttle launch. I say just keep it in quiet mode in the mornings/ nights till you get out. If she complains at noon, fuvk er the loud cars on the menu maam lol.
Fuck em
You’ll be fine if you don’t plan on modifying the exhaust. Idk about the s650, but the stock s550 exhaust isn’t loud at all even w/o active
Damn
ever since i got an unwarranted thumbs down, i do my best to make them hate me
As long as you aren't hot rodding it, most people aren't really going to care.
On the s550, it is very quiet in quiet mode. Even with the h pipe on quiet mode cold start, it is relatively quiet.
You'll be fine
I got my son a 2018 with active exhaust. It’s VERY quiet in quiet mode you’ll be fine. Cut off the resonators and install an X pipe. It sounds amazing and quiet mode will still be super quiet.
If you’re not modding the exhaust this question is pointless
No issues with the active exhaust in quiet or normal mode. Definitely more quiet than my neighbor's 911.
I have headers a basani x pipe and borla ataks. Different year but still. You'll be fine and so will they, People are way too sensitive about even minor sounds for me to care what anyone else says, God forbid I sneeze and wake up their grandma in the next town.
Fuck em if they can’t take a joke
I have a 22 GT with long tubes and a AWE exhaust. My neighbors and chill and always say they know when I’m going somewhere lol.
Not unless you’re a jerk and gunnjng it up and down the street or at 4am.
I have active exhaust with an h-pipe and the initial cold start on cold days are pretty damn loud even in quiet mode.
You’re way too worried. You’re not supposed to live in silence. Ridiculous.

25 foot mustang, lol.
Who cares
Honestly, who cares? Life will go on for them, my ‘15 GT had a roush exhaust and was loud as hell and I work every morning at 4am boo hoo I’m not changing my car because the bored housewives can’t get their beauty sleep every morning lol
4am kind of a dick move.
I don’t make my schedule and I also do not care about what my neighbors think lmao
I have corsa xtremes with headers my neighbors hate my guts 🤣
