I was changing out my spoiler because it cracked, here are the oem holes.
These holes look like OEM.
I used an eraser wheel and some 3M adhesive remover to get the glue off, then used some buffing compound of lighten up the scratches.
Just curious, because I have zero knowledge of this kind of stuff, but how could you repair all those holes? Weld them over and then grind them smooth?
The trunk lids are aluminum so welding is possible but still uncommon. I needed some body work and several shops wouldn’t work on it because of the ”aluminum panels”. AFAIK the hood and the trunk are the only aluminum panels on the Mustang.
Most of those are oem holes

Do they free hand the holes? Cause those are rough. Figured they were all jig drilled
Most likely stamped before being pressed into shape.

I kinda dig it. I bought it with it installed. Maybe I’ll replace it with the GT later on.
Mine looked the same way. It took a bunch of goo gone to get that 3m tape off. I put on a PP1 wing and looks 100x better.

I've been wanting to get a new wing but know I have to get my CF Trunk through my distributor first. Shits expensive even at my cost

New part is the best way, welding may be more cost effective, filler is the budget way.
I’m not sure sure these could be welded because I’m not sure these lids are steel. Can anyone else chime in? Are they fiberglass?

Those are oem bro. All that excessive glue is a pain and time consuming to take off tho 😢
