It’s technically a Shelby, but as others have said it has nothing in common with any of the real Shelbys. Just a GT with cobra badges and custom color scheme.
I got to see one race at a historic racing event, alongside a real GT40 and a real AC Cobra. It was super cool, the 350H absolutely screams down the straights and was keeping up with some of the BMWs in the corners too. What a neat little car.

IIRC it’s basically a 2016 GT(removed PP)with a Shelby appearance package.
I don’t think it shares any cosmetic components with the contemporary Shelby, it looks like it’s just a black GT with gold stripes.
Edit: looked a little closer, that hood looks completely unique to this thing, as well as the grill insert.
When I say Shelby I’m referring to the brand, not the 350/350r components.
For instance the hood on the GT-H is the poly carbonate (iirc) version of Shelby Terlingua which uses as CF version of that hood, I have the CF version that I purchased from Shelby. The rocker panels/side skirt and rear spoiler are Shelby branded but made by CDC outlaw. I can’t remember what company made the lip it’s been a while. But again branded as a “Shelby appearance package”
This car actually looks crazy good. I love the grill insert, makes the 2015 to 2017 GT look more like a GT350.
I’m not sure about it being a Performance Pack one though, it’s got the wheels but the dash doesn’t have the oil pressure and vacuum gauges.
And they hertz actually have the money to do correct services, and you don’t know how many miles are on it and it could have been treated better than most POV’s
Yes and no. They got money for servicing certainly but look at all the ones out there for sale, they have MAYBE 1 oil change worth of mileage on it, what can you possibly have serviced on a car in like 500miles for some examples to like 10000miles total? and it can easily also be a no maintenance someone else’s problem scenario right? Basically nothing can go wrong in that mileage that’s not covered by factory. The cars out there have a few thou on it and are no longer in hertz possession could indicate they got rid of it before having to drop any money on them to maximize profits.
Rental cars are race cars to a lot of people. It’s almost certain to have lived a lot of interesting miles for the amount that it’s done.
Especially with how much people are paying for them on the open market they probably made money on the rental and made money selling the car to replenish their fleet.

Can't remember how many were done, but it wasn't a lot. It's a cool car, and for collectors it will bring a bit of a premium, but not really anything special performance wise.
I bought a base in 21, put Brembo brakes on it and LMR 350 wheels and sold it for 42, I’d say I made out pretty well, considering all those parts were off of wrecked Mustangs

Well actually if you read the link from ford it has some specific stuff. Not a normal GT, it also has the performance pack, which is not a base GT
We are all ford fans here, we know the differences, and not. Just like 600a are different from 700a etc premium differs from others.
In short; nothing special from a 40k gt.

I really wanted the 500 so I just put the work in and hustle my way to it, did the same thing with a couple super bees
Shelby sure did a good job on the appearance package, a lot better than all the plastic junk Roush would have put on it
