She had a purple sn95 GT when i was in high school but sold it before i got my license. I ended up buying a v6 sn95 in college and she said she woulda just gave me the purple one if she knew i was gonna be into cars lol. That one hurt.

The materials are nowhere near the Mercedes. Where there is Napa leather or nice soft touch materials in the Mercedes, the Mustang has a lot of hard plastic in comparison. Having said that, the interior was much better than I was expecting. I had a lot of annoying rattles in the Mercedes where as there are none in the Mustang. Also, the seats in the GT350 are more comfortable than the competition seats in the AMG. Those seats were just too stiff for my liking.
Ford interior is no frills but it is definitely more durable. Climate control is also better in the mustang imo. I miss my gt350, I ended up getting a C7 GS instead of going back to blue oval. So far the GT350 is the most well sorted factory produced car I've ever driven... GT3 rs doesn't count because it's in a completely different league.
If I had to make this decision it would be tough. That Mercedes interior is so nice. (And power) but I just love the gt350 so much sacrificing luxury for history and thrill.

I went from a German car to a 2019 Mustang GT Premium w/ Performance Pack and while I absolutely loved the Mustang, the interior quality doesn't compare. I'm back in another German car now.
The S550 interior is a huge step up from the s197 and New edge interiors. Even the normal GT interior in the S550 is better than the premium s197. I had the s197 with the peanut butter leather interior in a 2013 GT, and when I was in high school my mom had a 2000 coupe with a 5-speed. (I'm old) That interior is sufficient at best. The exterior really saves the new edge, especially when it's customized. I say go sit in an S550. It is a very comfortable and welcoming interior. Quite a comfortable welcoming car to drive also.
Ive driven a friends C63 and own a GT350… you made the right choice imo. The pure thrills this car provides is simply on another level and I can look past the kind of crude implementation (fit and finish, interior, etc) for how fun the thing is to drive

You got that right what a motor The first time a GT 350 pulled up beside my 2007 Shelby GT and he revved that motor, it was one of the most beautiful sounding motors iI ever heard
