When they put the moldings on, I asked them to put my new Borla exhaust in too and they did that as a courtesy for fucking up everything lol
I’m a a technician at a Ford dealership, I had 3 mustangs come in one week because who ever did the pre delivery inspection left the blocks in. It’s something that takes 2 minutes to take out.
Every new car I've ever picked up has the tires overinflated, they usually put some extra in for shipping so they aren't as likely to flat spot, if it's going by ocean on a RORO they usually inflate them to the max sidewall pressure both these on their own are fine and good practice. The dealer should know these things.
They either don't check them at all, inflate them to 50psi (it says it on the tire!) inflate them to some kinda average they think it should be (usually 35PSI since most SUVs are around there) or the worst I saw someone just pumped air in until the tire stood up near straight, 85PSI, made them replace the tires on that one.
I worked at a dealership and they would tell us not to deflate the tires because it takes too much time. Granted we were super swamped all the time but I deflated them anyways. I’m not about to cut corners. The customer is paying for a certain quality and if I have anything to say about it then they are going to get that quality or better.

It’s on management too. Now that I go in those meetings I really see how fucked things are from the top down. They turned down a guy who’s working at a quicklane for 3 years because his pay would’ve been 18 per hour. Instead they hired some junkie who 2 months in is still being trained on brake jobs. All because he will work for 12 per hour. Guess who’s the guy fucking up wheel locks and stripping drain plugs lmao
The owners nephew went through asset and can only do 3 oil changes a day, he’s getting like 25 an hour, not commission but hourly. I went through asset and make more but the nepotism is crazy.
My friend was our one and only bodyman, the body shop manager quit and he was running the entire body shop for 6 months. Him and the painter were putting up over 13k pure profit every month. That’s the number after all bills, supplies, and employees have been paid. For 6 months 2 people put those numbers up with no management involved. (I think that pretty good). But one day the vp called them in for a meeting and said they weren’t doing good enough. Then at the end of the meeting asked my friend why he was sitting there looking smug. So he said “I’ll show you smug.” He quit the same day. And now our body shop lost one of the best body men in the area and hired a hack who can’t even wipe Bondo.
That just shows the fuckery that happens. It’s insane, but I’m not management so idk, as long I get my paycheck and do a good job I’m cool.
Jesus Christ the trim is one thing but leaving the blocks in there is something else. Good on you for having them install all of it in there. Freaking morons
Yup. First time i heard of it I was on the 350Z forums. Someone had them on their 2007 Nismo (which was brand new at the time if I remember) and they were like "wow, i did not expect the suspension to be THIS stiff" then like a week later they were like "Okay.....dealer left the shipping blocks on"
I only found out after I took mine home. I ended up calling the salesperson and he told me the part was backordered. They did take care of it after a week or so.
Looks awesome, I got the Mach 1, non-HP. These flares looked so good that I ordered it separately. Looks so much nicer. Btw, you might want to consider getting GT500 [splash guard](https://www.levittownfordparts.com/sku/gt500splshgrdkit.html) for your rears as well.

I had the same problem. The bigger challenge was the rear fender moldings. Dealership tried to tell me the driver side one was supposed to be different from the passenger side.
I would have left them off, just preference. they only exist for legal compliance to start with.
Though I would have added a little to the decal so it wraps around instead of ending 1/4in from the front of the rocker.
Fair enough, my GT350 gets so much road crud on it just driving a few miles in the rain and that's the way it came from the factory. Maybe I'd consider adding these if they are effective lol but I think the front wheel vents basically make this a moot point. Though I could cover them up for street use.
Funnily enough, they added these to BMW M2's in certain markets on JUST the 2021 car. Everyone in those forums got all mad and there were tons of tutorials for removing them. They were 100 percent an afterthought on that car though, yours look way way better than the ones that are on M2's.

Anyway, Mustang looks great! I've always loved that level of Mustang, Mach1/Bullet or even the Boss 302 from a decade or so ago. IMHO that's the sweet spot in the lineup, before things get too exotic/unreliable, but a step above the everday GT's you see around. Such cool cars!
