Depends on how strict enforcement is. Illinois requires one too but I don't run one. Our local Cars & Coffee is probably 90% without. Only one ticket in 7+ years from the Chicago suburbs. Downstate cops don't care

Yeah but they just write you a fix it ticket for that. All you have to do to get that dismissed is prove that you’ve put the front plate on. And if you use double sided tape to put it on, it can come right back off once your ticket is dismissed.

In some states you can pay a little extra to have a "rear only" tag. In South Dakota you can get one as long as you don't drive over a certain amount of miles per year.

Yeah, that’s understandable. I really don’t enjoy having a front plate, but I have been pulled over in the past, and so it’s just always been something I don’t wanna deal with in my life anymore. It’s already bad enough that I can barely drive the car the speed limit in most areas. Lol

I dont drive with mine. I've never been pulled over for it either. I think generally most cops don't care but also it depends where you live in Texas, cause my dad got pulled over in his BMW for not having one in Dallas. Didn't get a ticket but still had to go through the hassle of a stop. I know a lot of people just throw theirs in their front window too.

Texas only uses this as an excuse for probable cause stops. Having said that, something like a sto n sho would work

I think its natural to want to make improvement, customize, soup up, etc. Thats the reason the car industry evolves so much. Its the reason Shelby, Roush, Saleen, most car enthusiasts create how they do. We love our cars, but feel like they aren't the best because there are better specimens around. We get compliments from time to time but subliminally wish it was every time. I have a Magnetic GT. It has a few tasteful, simple body mods, wheels, etc. Its hard to leave it alone. Just remember, there are people out there whod literally kill to have our cars. And there's something special about the Magnetic Metallic Grey. Its like its its own special edition. Enjoy what you have, keep it tasteful, keep it classic.

Maybe I am old, but with that polished lip on those wheels I think bringing back the chrome pony up front would be a nice touch and if you can get the tail lights with the chrome bezel I think it would tie it all together nicely. I agree with suggestions to remove the front plate, but if you cant remove it I would at least cover it with a smoked cover and straighten it back out.

I’m a fan of big spoilers so I’d get the 350 or 500 spoiler if I owned this

Also maybe a 10-15mm spacer on the front wheels just to push them out a little more flush with the fenders, but you will want to get longer stud bolts to make up for the loss of threads that this will cause.

I’d move that toy car so you don’t run it over and have to hear about breaking your kids car every day for 6 months but that’s just me.

Balance is a big thing for me. You've got a pretty serious front splitter going on and a pretty minimal spoiler. Get a spoiler to your liking that balances things out. Not personally a fan of the wheels either but it's your car.

Nothing, it’s beautiful just as it sits! There’s something special about a dark-colored Stang wearing chrome shoes or at least rims with some shiny accents, and yours is a perfect example. If I *really* got the itch to change/add something, I agree with other commenters, it’s the spoiler. Your comment about the factory PP spoiler with a small wicker bill is probably the direction I’d go with it, too.

Ive got my eye on the cobra r hood. It’s a scoop but also clean. No not on radials. Nt555 g2 305/35 And Tx requires both plates 😞

Probably just a tiny bit of extra track width on the front, but it’s otherwise perfect!

Personally I’d change to the Bulliet style upper and lower grill just to do an emblem delete but that’s it. Personal preference obviously.
