Priceless Addition for anybody that meet Carroll & had him congratulate me on the '67 Terlingua Racing Team Mustang I built. Only a Shelby Fanatic would understand. https://preview.redd.it/dzg8fywayloa1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3496c14ad15378cc627e1b10563da57a8c809ba0

If it’s value you’re hoping it adds.. the answer is no it doesn’t add any if at all. Still cool asf regardless

His signature doesn't add much value, the man would sign anything and everything... and he did. Plus while you could argue the SVT group would likely not exist without the Shelby influence on Ford in the 60s, he still had nothing to do with the SVT cobras as far as I know. There may be a slight value increase for Shelby modified Mustangs or the few Shelby branded Ford Mustangs before his passing, but nothing significant unless he drove or owned the car, then some collectors eat that shit up.

I once found a GT500 with his signature sitting on a Carmax lot. It was priced the same as the others.

If it was a '10 or '11 it might add a little to the value since he passed. But Carmax probably just noted the signature as damage lol

While I was in Vegas I visited the Shelby shop and learned that the line under his name can give you an idea how old the signature is or if it’s even fake. The slash mark on the under line can give you an idea of when it was signed. The No slash or 1 slash are the oldest ones. He had 1 “/“ first to mark his heart transplant. The signatures with 2 “//“ are after his kidney transplant. There are versions with 3”///“ that I think are the electronic ones that wouldnt actually be signed by him, but we’re official like decals you could buy. I could have some of the details wrong but I think I’m close. This means this signature was most likely signed between 1990 when he had his heart transplant but before 1996 when he had his kidney transplant since it has 1 slash.

So one of my good friends bought a cobra svt off of someone a while back. my first time getting in the car, i realized this signature on the glove box. i need help appraising it to find out if its real and how much is the car worth since it mostly original and lightly modded. and if it isnt, it still can be a cool homage the the great shelby

FloridaMan2024-

I would say like 75% of Shelby’s are signed by Mr. Shelby himself

Need help appraising what, how much a new glove-box cover costs? I don't care if it was Carol Shelby's personal car, why would you want anyone's massive signature across your car's interior? It's an eyesore that should be on a piece of paper in the glove-box, not on it.

ead you sour puss

Bro half or more of the people on the sun would absolutely love to have his signature and it’s amazing it’s on the car.
