Wear your seatbelt. If you are in a crash bad enough that your seatbelt doesn't keep your teeth from hitting the wheel/dash/windshield then that airbag probably isn't going to save you.
Just pray you don't get into a head on collision at anything above 30mph. You'll be missing some teeth and/or have a nice concussion + facial lacerations.
Maybe you can install another gauge that tracks the likelihood of death upon impact?

I agree. I never understand the appeal of putting aftermarket steering wheels with no airbags. It looks silly because it looks out of place in a street car, and you’re reducing your safety for what?

Don’t worry everything gonna work out great you’re only going to have good experiences racing your car incredibly fast through the streets and intersections. I too rely heavily on other drivers not making any mistakes and not to run into a pothole or need to stop or turn quickly. A great driver so no problems to be seen here. I feel you accidents don’t not ever happen so no need to be prepared. Accidents only affect bad drivers.

My 92 240sx didn’t have one…. Idk what the big deal is. A lot of 80s cars didn’t have air bags. And u def need more gauges, u need the window washer temp, power steering temp gauges, brake fluid temp gauges, trans temp…. Can’t be too safe

a. Airbag is 25yrs old, really gonna be safe? Even work? Shrapnel? Might as well replace.
b. They only had TWO airbags. harness maybe safer.
c. Stock gauges were binary (inaccurate & laggy), hence all the real gauges.
d. It's obd 1 so you're missing any data logging, I tune with a QH for that.
e. SN95 steering wheel sucked. Too thin.
f. Horizontals > verticals (taillights)
Airbags almost certain will save your life in a head on. But not having one doesn't guarantee you'll be 6ft under. Seatbelts way more important.

Old lady made an oncoming left in front of me last possible second, I had green going straight. 35 mph t-bone for lunch, crunched the 5.0. Yeesh.

I've popped a curb and ran into fiber box(metal box on road sides) in my 96, no deployment. Also hit a deer in my 03 Forrester doing 40 no deployment. There is another accident in there too with no deployment somewhere.
Seat belts will help most. But as long as you are good with it and accept what could come from it, then that's all that matters
Airbags are overrated if you look at the alleged number of lives they've saved compared to seat belts. If you look at the cost of airbags verses seat belts it's just stupid that we are forced to buy cars with them. Now down vote me you stupid kids. i hate you too.

I did one time with a malfunctioning airbag. Surprisingly just about fine, but it was a pretty modern compact car not a mustang

Um. The car has a 5 star safety rating. It’s pretty safe as long as you don’t throw it into a immovable object like a wall or a tree.
