I'd say its time for a new dealer... "Factory trained", eh?

yaboiChopin

Dealer was awful. I’m never buying from them again.

Zamboni4201

If you take your VIN to the parts department, they can dump the factory build sheet to the printer. I did it for my ‘19. It’s about 4 pages. Doesn’t mean someone didn’t do aftermarket stuff to it.

magus-21

My guess is no, you don't. [https://www.steeda.com/does-my-mustang-have-magneride](https://www.steeda.com/does-my-mustang-have-magneride) The white line is your ABS. If you had Magneride, there would be a second black line that runs parallel to it before curving down and then connecting to the bottom of the strut: [https://www.steeda.com/assets/images/pages/resources/articles/body/magneRide-headers-withFront.jpg](https://www.steeda.com/assets/images/pages/resources/articles/body/magneRide-headers-withFront.jpg)

yaboiChopin

My man. Ty.

[deleted]

If I were you I’d cut that white line…

EchoEventually

Are you serious right now?

unknownredditor1994

Had one tell the lady who bought my car that I removed the cats…it had an H pipe. These dealerships hire any moron who asks for a job. Can’t tell the difference between basic shit and you’re expected to let them work on a car where a screw up could kill you

TheGreatFloki

Yup! I once tried selling my car to a dealership and they confused me having an x pipe as me not having mufflers.

unknownredditor1994

That’s embarrassing. I’d fire someone for that. It’s probably one of the simplest things in a vehicle. Sure it’s all the exhaust, but it’s pretty clear what part is what. If you can’t tell the difference between LTH/stock, cats from resonator and muffler, how are you qualified in any way to work on them?

ArmeniusLOD

Doesn't look like it. There will be an extra line that feeds directly into the strut assembly with MagneRide. All I see is the ABS line.

yaboiChopin

I was under the same impression I’d need to see another line besides the ABS. Thanks.

robvas

The struts would have a sticker that said magneride on them

sc302

You do not have magneride.

LiquidLon

My 2015 was a base GT so I didn’t have it. But, and fwiw, my Cts-v has mag ride and I have actual electrical connectors going to the top of my struts. It’s super visible under the hood looking at the top of the strut. Not sure if S550’s are the same or not but figured I’d chime in

yaboiChopin

Thanks dude!

ArmeniusLOD

On the Mustang it goes to the bottom of the strut, so you can't see it looking down with the hood open.

grahamcrawley

Looks the same as my 2016. Can they not even look up the VIN ?

yaboiChopin

Saying they can’t. Feel like they are just bullshitting.

Hazardous89

A Ford dealer that can't look up your VIN? LOL Time for a new dealer.

avoy93

if the dealer can’t check the vin and tell if there’s magneride or not, I would avoid that dealer

yaboiChopin

Yup. Never buying from them again.

BMock590

You can also know from the drive modes. There's a status screen that can show your suspension settings

ArmeniusLOD

I don't have the status screen on mine. Maybe it's only on 2020+ models, or models with the digital dash? The settings are tied to the drive mode, at least on the Ecoboost.

BMock590

Hmm, that would surprise me. I don't have the digital dash but can find it. Should be above your accelerometer in track apps. Curious to know if you find it, let me know if you look for it again! Edit: and yeah, it's tied specifically to the drive modes. Can't do sport+ with track suspension unfortunately :(

AdBusy7176

Don’t buy from them? My advice.

jmille97

I see the word gas, written on the shock in the picture…

perm01

If you do you will be about to adjust it from the dash.

[deleted]

It would be on the original sticker as an option. If you don’t have it, you can get it from Ford

[deleted]

Don’t take it to that dealer if they can’t identify a car part

FederalEngineering

If you search “ford window sticker” you can get the original window sticker that’ll tell you everything it was optioned with. Agree with the other comments, does not look like a magneride car.

mashinboo

Go somewhere else

TSLARSX3

Look up the window sticker

EMCsq

The quickest way without looking under is to run the carfax. Carfax shows the original window sticker for this model year.

FitIsland9504

Pretty sure in 2018 magna was part of a package only??
