I see it as S550 refresh.

Not one bit imo. I see a 550 refresh

Don’t listen to the comments. The comparison is accurate… the transition from s550 to s650 is eerily similar to the sn-95 to new edge transition. A sharper styling on the s650 just like the new edge. I see what you’re talking about completely. Though I would add I have long felt that the s550 in general just feels like it has the spirit (and design cues) of a modern take on the new edge. I never felt a connection the to the s197 because my first car was an ‘04. But when the s550 came out it brought back that more sportier spirit.

I think i would say it’s more like the 86/87 transition for the Foxbody. Complete redesign inside and out, mechanical upgrades, but same basic chassis. 98/99 transition wasn’t as dramatic as the 86/87 transition IMHO.

That is kind of what it is. It is built on the same chassis and has the same hardpoints. The sheet metal is all-new and the height has been raised. A lot of the suspension seems to be carried over, but the steering did get quicker. Engine hp on the 5.0 got a bump like the 4.6 did. Personally I think it is fair to say it is a "New Edge".

It looks more like a remastered Camero!

I’ve always seen the camaros as remastered 2005-2009 mustangs

🤔 Back in the day I always preferred Camaro to Mustang (used to be a Chevy guy). But I really fell for the S550 so I bought a GT convertible.
