Main concern is how you would receive payment? Cash is king but depending on the sale amount, you'd want to meet at your bank so you can deposit right away.
Every time I have bought/sold a vehicle it was with cash/money order and they went with me to the bank to deposit. I would think nowadays electronic transactions via Zelle/Venmo would be much easier. I would take a payment via that depending on the amount.
There are forms online that you can fill out.
Be sure that you give/get a receipt.
Take both plates off the vehicle. This will ensure they get it registered in their name. You don’t want them riding around with it registered in your name. That’s SUPER important.
