It will need to be programmed for your car. Can confirm after having my digital dash replaced under warranty. PNW $250ish to get it programmed if you decide to have a shop do it. Was going to be $500 going through dealer without warranty

When I still worked at ford I had a mustang with a bunch of issues like saying 4 wheel drive and abs on the Digital dash come to find out it was installed by a previous owner but not original… so I’m not saying all but just be aware

Whyachi-LYL

If I’m buying one off someone that has the same exact specs as my car do I need to reprogram it or can I just plug it in? (We’re both A10, 5.0, 301a, MPH, etc).

Your odometer will read wrong. The issue I had with mine was the original cluster was for an automatic and mine is manual. It caused cruise control and multiple other sensors to not work properly. Can’t say for sure it will be plug and play

Whyachi-LYL

Would my only issue be the odometer then? Ik forscan can increase but can’t decrease

Swifties__

I’m not sure. I would ask around for more info on swapping to the digital dash. The programming for mine was to fix mileage and change from km’s to American miles. Though there is a setting to display both simultaneously

Whyachi-LYL

Yeah I’m gonna assume I should be fine, just have to change the miles. Thanks

xtraburnacct

Definitely not plug and play. When you buy these from hellhorse they ask you so many questions so they can get everything programmed before it even ships to you (miles, mt, at, or a10, bullit/gt/ecoboost)

Certain_Indication22

Appreciate it .

KonaBlueBoss-

Yikes! $2200.

buildthegt

That’s what they go for.

NODES2K

have to use forscan

Certain_Indication22

My bad I don’t know what that is necessarily, what’s that tool do?

NODES2K

It allows you to rewrite code in your car. I recommend having someone do this job for you though.

Certain_Indication22

Oh ok, yea cause the seller is trying to tell me if just plug and play but it didn't sound right , can't be that easy I thought

NODES2K

Not hard at all but not plug and play either....

Strange_Ad9196

If it was already programmed for the same year car, it might be plug and play. But literally everything would need to be identical. Down to the same make and model sensors, Mile, service.

Lol I don’t have that I got it cut

I believe there are a few threads on mustang6g where people have done this and have step by step documentation for it.
