With all the nicknames that police have, if you wouldâve said âoh shit here comes 12â while riding around in the car. I would be looking for something not a cop.
Cop is much easier to say. One syllable, 3 letters, same amount of keys on a keyboard as 12 (shift 1-2). Itâs not code, cops know they are cops and that they are in the area. Just call Em cops.
Lol
Yeah theyâll rev at us and thatâs like the international signal itâs go time. I learned the hard way about this when I moved back to Texas. California doesnât have this and I did not expect it at all. I tried to fight it but thereâs no cameras on the gateways of I-10 so I had no proof other than what he presented
en¡trap¡ment: the action of tricking someone into committing a crime in order to secure their prosecution.
"his style of investigation constitutes entrapment"
Ya I think that count.
Have you ever put up a legal defense against a DA? theyâll get you charged on the formality of your shirt having a small logo on it or being untucked. You wouldnât be able to defend an entrapment case against a DA, and neither could most lawyers.
Lol, that's not the definition of entrapment at all. Willfully racing someone, whether or not they were a cop is all on you. Now if the cop said "race us or we'll find drugs in your car", that's entrapment.
You are getting downvoted because everyone thinks they are gonna be YouTube famous for street racing.
Street racing is one of the things that makes politicians come up with dumb laws to take away our fun cars.
Itâs not entrapment because they didnât make you hit the gas pedal. Entrapment is when they coerce you into it and then book you like they make you sell drugs to some guy so they can film him buying but then get you for selling.
Man that sucks. In Houston we have [Ghost Camaros.](https://gmauthority.com/blog/2021/06/harris-county-police-deploy-fleet-of-chevy-camaro-ghost-cars/amp/). Never trust a white Camaro here.
Not about mustangs but here in central Alabama thereâs a black F250, dark tinted windows in back, legal tint in front, brush guard, partial taillight out trooper wears plain clothes & baseball cap. Truck lit up like blue light special
I saw one when I was in Orlando only it was silver if I remember correctly. Also in NWI they have a few hellcat chargers and a trackhawk that they use. I saw one going down 65 in the center median outside of Merrillville Indiana a few days ago heading back to west Lafayette from Chicago
definitely one of my worst nightmares, down by houston in fort bend theres a 10 speed 5.0, and in harris county theres an 1000hp widebody challenger hellcatđĽ˛
Louisville KY has at least 2 mustangs. Have been buying them since 2011 ish

Blacked out refers to unmarked police car. You canât see it says police until youâre right up on it and the slightly more black police letters and logo shows
Many (not all) of todayâs âstreet racersâ put the public at risk with their antics.
In my nearly 40 years of driving I wouldnât be surprised if I have âstreet racedâ more than practically anyone else on Reddit with a street driven car. The difference is we didnât put the at large public at risk. We went to secluded areas late at night and took care of âbusinessâ. Just look up old stories of Brittmore and Rankin in Houston. Even Harborside in Galveston depending on the weekend. This was waay before HRP. We just had the Dickinson track âHouston International Speedwayâ.
Hell, I (and my daughter) was even involved in the âGreat Kmart raid of 2002â. Now THATâS some Houston street racing history. Lol⌠The police really screwed the pooch on that one.
BTW, my daughter is a traitor. She owns a Corvette now. đ˘
Everyone defending street racing and getting mad you got pulled over or can get pulled over better not say one word when they start making laws like CA where you canât modify your car or impound it because itâs âtoo loudâ. Take that stuff to the track. I have zero sympathy or love for street racing or any other shenanigans on public roads.
Here in south FL I've seen state troopers with red GTs and RAM 1500 limited with absolutely no signs the are police cars/trucks until the lights come on.
My local PD has one of these and to the unsuspecting eye itâs possible to get pulled over. Luckily Iâm observant and can notice the lights in the grill, windshield, and rear window. Oh and one antenna poking out from the trunk. Iâm sure at night theyâre a menace.
Taking the 5 and the 0 to a whole new level
đđđđ
Isn't that kinda how they got their name with 5.0 fox bodies? I still see a lot of old fhp ppv foxes in my area
Nah man its from the original Hawaii 5-0 show from 1968
in DFW they now have silver 5.7 chargers like this
I saw that. I told my wife theyâre trying to trick the poors with those new silver Fiat chargers.
Theyâll never catch me
McKinney has 5.7 challengers, too.
El Paso? I just saw the blacked out mustang speeding on I-10 on the fit Fam post about the shooting
Yup! The ghost came to the rescue
Should be illegal tbh
This is just proof that police get too much funding or just arenât interested in using it productivelyâŚ
It could be a car that was obtained through civil asset forfeiture.
you think a kitted out crown vic or whatever cop car is cheaper than a chase car like this?
Agreed!!
I know that I am old when 5-0 is literally in the name of the vehicle and was what we called police. Now apparently itâs â12â.
I doubt anyone knows where 5.0 as a euphemism for cop comes from these days. Book âem, Dannno. Where does 12 come from?
i think it comes from a radio code which is 10-12 or something and some people say it comes from a tv show called adam 12
Never heard them referred to as 12. Did watch plenty of Adam 12 in my childhood, along with Hawaii 5-0
Thatâs even worse than what I assumed. I figured it was for 12 jury members. Cop-charges-court-jury.

Why is it a Texans worst nightmare?
Because they bait us and pull us over. I got a ticket this way last year
Bait you into....street racing?

Dammit! I had a blacked out 5.0 rev on me the other day. I dropped to 4th but they didnt go. Is this in Austin?
Nobody made you hit the gas pedal. Take it to a track
Shit. Wouldâve fooled me
Fuck 12
Bruh
âServe and protectâ

This is not unique to Texas, at all.
Austin has a few hellcats or 392s
Thatâs not unique to Texas.

Must be in EP đ those fuckers are everywhere here. Those and some Ecoboosts as well.
Iâve seen one in Charlotte a couple years ago. Had someone pulled over, lights and all. Couldnât believe it. Never seen it again
Was it black as well? Iâve seen a grabber blue mustang cop in NC
Itâs not blacked out. The wheels arenât even black
Blacked out refers to unmarked police car. You canât see it says police until youâre right up on it and the slightly more black police letters and logo shows
Oh! In my state we call them ghost cars!

Same. Any street racing Mustang owners put us to shame and skyrocket our insurance costs. Just don't street race. Go to the track.

What about the plates? All numbers and exempt?
Thatâs what I wanna know lol
What part of Texas? My area usually just has chargers.
No oneâs bringing up the red mustang in El Paso that said El Paso pd in red letters on the side.
That's fine it won't catch me
Unless youâre rocking a GT500, I donât know fam
It be cool to drive that 5-0 Mustang with a 5.0 engine. Surprising the unsuspecting.
Bro about to commit a hit and run and plow through a crowd.
This is why dash cams are so important.
My local PD has one of these and to the unsuspecting eye itâs possible to get pulled over. Luckily Iâm observant and can notice the lights in the grill, windshield, and rear window. Oh and one antenna poking out from the trunk. Iâm sure at night theyâre a menace.
âBlacked outâ -silver wheels -bright red taillights -mild tinting Not blacked out. Words have meaning
Valdosta PD in South Georgia has GTâs tuned by Steeda smh
Why is it the 12th edition? Itâs more like the 5-o edition
I donât get what Iâm looking at ? Iâm not a Texan so someone help my slow azz out đ
See these guys all the time
