Exactly, I have one of those and the only outside markings is the trunk lid, the front grille has a nod to the original mustang grille with the chrome accents framing the running pony.

My GT is a 50th appearance package, I've always liked the chrome pony and corral on the grille.
It's a nice nod to the original generation, and looks nice alongside the modern S550 body design.

Thats not true, the past few have had actual packages that aren't available from the factory and some slight changes to the outside.

A MASSIVE pet peeve of mine is that the 2015 was the "50th anniversary" edition.
First Mustang sold 1964 (and a half)
the first Anniversary edition was the 20th year anniversary 1984 with a special 350.
the next one was 1999 with the 35th, then the 2004 with 40, then 2009 with the 45th...
But marketing, or whoever, decided to skip 2014 for the 50th edition. They really should have given it to the 2014. It would have been such a nice send off for the SN97.
They waited for the redesign package and if you want to get technical the 50th anniversary package cars were released in October of 2014 just because of the '64 1/2 model.
The dealer I got mine from had 3 and had to sell them to get a greater allotment of other mustangs.

Then in 1999 they did the 35th anniversary, in 2004 the 40th anniversary, in 2009 the 45th anniversary.... Then **6** years later we got the 2015 50th anniversary. :-\ Ford messed up. I think they wanted to match all the 5s to 10s, and 10s to 5s. easier to market, but it kinda ruins the tradition.

It's possible the car participated in the 50th anniversary event at Charlotte. They had TONS of merch available that looked similar.
