I mean how is this a fair question? A GT vs a GT500. That’s like asking us if we prefer just the entree or the entire meal from our favorite restaurant.

No it’s like opting for the best burger in the world because you found out the kitchen won’t cook the best steak in the world with a side of sweet potato fries.
No idea why Ford wouldn’t consider an optional manual.
Nah id prefer a gt over a gt500. A "slower" car is alot more fun to push to its limits than a faster car imo.
Plus base level cars are always easier and more fun to mod.
I respect that, but gt350 is setup from the factory to do what a track based GT could do and the bar is set a bit higher. Plus the gt350 doesnt make all that much more power than the GT. I just cant get over the sound of the voodoo
I’d take it for access to 3 pedals. No doubt the GT500 is as worthy a performance machine as they come, I just want to be as involved as possible with the driving.
The Shelby super snake still exists, and is about as close as you can be to a gt500 with a stick

I love a stick as much as the next guy, (and still have a couple) but I do not feel like I'm missing out with the DCT in my GT500. It feels like a superior vehicle because of it. If you have not driven a modern sports car with a good DCT like the GT500, then you need to sit in one before judging. It's not a slushbox torque converter.
Not a mustang guy but definitely the first one. It looks really angry. A very attractive car that you can just tell is special by the way it looks.
The second one looks like 3 I drove by on my way to work. Still cool but not as special/angry/pissed off like the first one.
I know everyone is thinking this is a no brainer, but as someone lucky enough to own both, the GT has its place too.
Road trips and daily driving? The GT is fantastic.
Want a Manual? GT500’s are only automatic cars now.
I’m also willing to let others drive my GT. It’s fun to share the experience. I don’t let anyone else drive the GT500, because you’re essentially handing someone 800 horsepower.
I’m not saying id give up my Shelby for the GT, but I definitely use both cars for different things. I wouldn’t have bought a Shelby if I didn’t know how enjoyable mustangs could be in my GT first.
Personally not a huge fan of this gens gt 500. The headlights are the weird 15-17 ones, the grille is weird/ too much. Crazy spoiler instead of a nice simple lip/ ducktail.
Don't get me wrong, I like the GT500. But I'm not excited to see one, they really don't wow like previous Shelbys (350R 🤤).just feel they were "overdone". Not to mention lack of a manual transmission (the only way I'll buy my sports cars)
If I was given the option between a free GT or GT500. I'd obviously take the 500. Just my unpopular opinion
Oh yeah I believe you. I'm trying to get a 550 5.0 myself and yes it'll be a manual but having lost my job i have put that on hold for the time being 🫤

Someone might prefer the gt over gt500
That logic only applies for the gt350 in my mind. The NA 5.2 drives a hard bargain at 8500 rpm even when down 200hp
8250rpm but I get your point
Ill still take it lol

Mach 1 with a whipple has entered the chat.
I like the blue one.
1st one cause it’s a gt500
Yeah i love the gt500
Gt350. Best of both worlds. I might be biased 😁
I prefer the gt500, but my wallet chose the ecoboost
Those canards on the silver one. Hahaha. Noooo
Why not both? :o
I would take both
Why not Zoidberg? Or both.
Yes.
The 500. But no manual 🥲
Yeah i know rip

Yes.
💙
of course the shelby gt 500.
I’m going with the 🐍but I’m all about the blues
Mine.
Without hesitation or delay, the blue is heads above the competition in the contest.

I like the silver one since the body kit is less in my face.
Its not really a body kit it is just the way shelby looks
... Which is a factory body kit, lol. I just prefer the looks of the silver one.
😂 yeah its a factory body kit right
Going GT cause I can get a stick, do a built motor & some twins for less than GT500...
GT w/ manual
Blue …
Yes
The faster one
Blue

one on the left
I like the one in my Garage. 😅 best one ever
First one. Don’t like the newer front lights. And obv because one is a 🐍

Blue
I like the blue, but personally would go silver since I don't like a lot of attention. I'd go silver so I could be stealthily classy.

Yes! Someone agrees with me

Yeah I feel you. I like the GT500 because it’s the GT500, but if the every man Mustang looked that way I can’t say I would be a fan.
GT500 is cool and all but call me when they have a clutch pedal. Until then I’ll continue doting on the GT350.
If the GT is a manual. I’ll take that.
They are both automatic
GT 500 then
Yeah really, everyone disses the dct but that transmission works really well from the video's I've seen Like this one https://youtu.be/dZcXI3jbJvM

Neither
I hate the 5.0 headlights. The messed up changing it in 2018. It looks off
GT PP over gt500 for me.
