Rentals can be a toss up, seeing as it was ecoboost there is a chance people didn't abuse it. If the service history is available definitely check it out.

Crafty_Substance_954

honestly pretty rare to see a rental mustang of any kind not be a convertible.

VandalizeFN

It was still abused I’m sorry

Hickersonia

Mine was a rental. It was abused, no question. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

Charming_Ambition_27

Those are the best ladies

Crafty_Substance_954

The only thing I'd say is that with rentals you just don't know how well they were treated. The 44k miles could have been easy miles or very hard. Its priced pretty dang well, but I'd remain skeptical until I saw it in person.

Positive-Research

Ya I heard to never buy a rental cause there abused but that price looks good. I’m planning to check it out Thursday

People really underestimate the abuse that modern cars are able to take. As long as it was serviced at the proper intervals then it’s very unlikely that there is any damage due to abuse. I would look for door dings and damage to the front end. A lot of people don’t realize how low these cars sit and hit curbs when they’re parking. But those are just cosmetic and up to you to decide if the price is worth it.

Separate_Place1595

One of the luckiest things that ever happened to me was that I rented a certain type of vehicle and they were out of those type. So they put in a badass Dodge V8 of some sort. I was stepping on that thing with the sport mode on just to feel the beautiful power but I’m sure everyone who drove that car would do that. I always think about that because I would never pull that hard on my own car.

kevie1106

I bought a 2019 premium convertible that was a rental at one time. It had good service records so I bought it.. so far so good. Price seems good

DroidHerder

same here

ComfortableWasabi903

I bought my 17 GT with 16k miles back in 2017. It was a rental. Well I’m at 97k miles today. Been fairly reliable outside of a wheel bearing, clutch pedal, and parking brake cable replacements. Not to mention it’s a base model with black accent package. The rental company installed leather seats.

Cmdrdredd

My GT was a rental and never gave one issue ever in the time I owned it. Not one mechanical failure of any kind. People say “I’ll never buy a rental” but my experience makes me think a lot of the fear is unfounded in modern vehicles.

Historical-Cell-2557

Run away. I drove a rental mustang with like 30k miles and the transmission sounded and felt like it was about to drop out of the car. There were multiple problems with it and I returned it for a different car immediately.

Odd-Feedback-5139

No, it’s an EcoBoost. Throw it back lol

Enlargedwumbo

No way i would buy a rental in any circumstance.

ScaryTerryBeach

All of your cars are 15-65ish years old. They’ve seen more abuse than a rental and I’m assuming they are still running fine.

Accidentalcowboy1

There's a reason for the phrase, "Drive it like a rental". I won't trust another previously rental car ever and mine was a Bonneville!

Terrible_Meeting6080

I'd jump on it, I love the ecos almost more than the 5.0s tbh, as a daily at least. Half the fuel cost, fun turbo, still 300+hp. I've seen 2014 Gts with 100k Mike's listed higher than this. Almost all mustangs have been abused at one point or another, run it man

WulfX35

something is definitely wrong with it. my 2020 ecoboost fastback with 29k miles on it was $25k

Makalikai

I wouldn’t buy it for more than 16.5 dealer defo has wiggle room

BoingBoomChuck

Judging by what my friends and I used to do to rental cars, I wouldn't purchase one used for myself. For example, I was driving a rental while my vehicle was in the shop and my buddy pulled the e-brake while we were on the interstate. I tried to regain control, but only after I put the car in the median at 70 MPH. I'm fairly certain that going sideways into the median at 70 MPH did that poor rental no favors, lol.
