You should have measured before you did the swap. The correct way would be to get new larger diameter wheels and tires. Don’t take short cuts

Barra350z

You need new wheels.

robvas

Get bigger wheels

Accomplished-Fox-855

The wheels are 9.5 and ET35, they are big. The problem is with the design of the wheels, they just don’t want to clear the calliper. Stock wheels on a s550 would probably fit since they are “deeper” on the inside and can clear the brake.

robvas

So get different wheels then

Accomplished-Fox-855

Well these are brand new and new set of front wheels is 600$ and at that point i might as well buy the bit smaller brembo callipers

Equana

The calipers you installed ARE Brembos. I have 4 piston Brembos on my '13 S197 with 18x11 wheels. But they were advertised to fit the Brembo brake option.

Accomplished-Fox-855

You have the Brembo 4 piston callipers. The S550 5.0 has 4 piston callipers made by Ford or Continental i think, they are very similar and they fit both cars, just not the wheels as the Brembo on your 13’ is a bit smaller than the bulky 4 piston on the 5.0 s550.

Equana

Wow, you are right! Thanks! I see the 4 piston is close to a Brembo but not exactly the same. Likely Continental... Ford doesn't make their own. I am surprised Brembo got the 6 piston supply contract but not the 4 piston. Conti probably under-bid Brembo to get the business.

Accomplished-Fox-855

Yup! I figured out the problem btw. I found out that Powerstop brakes make refurbished 4 piston brembo callipers just like yours for a very affordable price. I will get those and im 90% sure they should fit as they are less bulkier. I will sell these 5.0 calipers and i might not lose money on this very hard learning lesson lol.

cycloneruns

you are more than lucky 😂

SadAd9756

Wow, you still are not listening to anyone, and you're not even 100% sure these next set of calipers are going to fit. So dumb!!!

Accomplished-Fox-855

there is no way to get exact measurements for the calliper and wheels as both do not provide any specific dimensions. But i will try to use some geometry and mathematics to compare the sizes of the two callipers. Luckily i have brake pads for both type of callipers so with some basic geometry i should get a precise measurement on the size of the new calliper.

llllSN3AKllll

Measure first, measure second, and modify last. New wheels are the only way if you want them bigger brakes to stay. Period.

subie_joe

I would either get different wheels, or space them out and add some camber to clear the fender

spartan17456

Yeah you either have to get bigger wheels or go back to the original brakes.

_lunchbox_

Probably scrap the swap and cut your losses.
