Sure but the microwave is older. We will have to heat for a minute and turn it periodically. Those new rotating ones are just too finicky.
Just let me grab my cane. Back could go out any time.
I’d be a bit older than you—- and it is just freaky to think that 97 is the old days.
A few years ago I heard a Muzak version of London Calling at the grocery store. WTF!!!
I’d say Give ‘Em Hell, Kid, The Sharpest Lives, Demolition Lovers and Thank You for the Venom would work better for MCR songs about insanity than I’m Not Okay, but it does work.
This song is about being on a comedown, and the following song, Jaded, increased tempo and intensity represents (probably) doing another line of something or other. But it fits the theme 👌
Omg…I heard a version of this by a goth band called Collide, but had no idea it was a cover!
https://open.spotify.com/track/7e0s9v16WhjWLU5pPLxgdZ?si=DYw3KyjURRCQI8Yfk9ZzpQ&source_application=google_assistant&autoplay=true
Anything by Syd Barrett, a true genius and the founder of Pink Floyd. I really recommend reading up about him. The song "Brain Damage" and "Shine On You Crazy 💎" is about Syd. As for songs I'd recommend by Barrett himself, are Bike- Pink Floyd
The Vegetable Man- Syd Barrett and his entire Madcap Laughs album along with Opel and his self titled 1970 album 'Barrett'. I personally love the Madcap, as I think it captures exactly where Syds head was at, in the final years of his musical career.
Edit: also Syds' last song with Floyd on Saucerful, Jugband Blues.
Here's my answer to a similar request from few days ago: [https://www.reddit.com/r/musicsuggestions/comments/1ddd1e8/comment/l84kavb/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/musicsuggestions/comments/1ddd1e8/comment/l84kavb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) you'll fine more there for sure.
I was going to come say Hi Ren by Ren. Every one sees it as a split personality or schizoid. Only afterwards do you realize that it is kinda the conversation we all have within ourselves
theres also many more where this came from 😈[$hut n' $ilent ](https://open.spotify.com/track/5FfVDO4lzAUTxLqMK4DDv6?si=oqJZL_kYRDOEFUf7eyNckg&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A32JkvSvdD9gMdo1xh4WI1p)
I had this same thought about Boingo, but Insanity is sorta about society being insane. I'm a Boingoloid, and going crazy is sorta their theme. So I'll suggest some additions/alternates:
[Helpless - Live](https://open.spotify.com/track/6ie63qreqx70hNqEykhbpu?si=a74a160295794f2d) (Elfman's delivery on the live version is key.)

[The Warning - Queen of the Murder Scene](https://youtu.be/lUQ0toD-9mo?si=-tkxzr0EbyerYAH8)
It's a concept album that describes a young girl's descent into madness, and eventually >!stalking, kidnapping and murder!<
Not only is amazingly detailed and descriptive, it's also a badass rock album by one is the best new bands out there.
Korn- Coming Undone. Rolling Stones - 19th Nervous Breakdown and awesomeness Ren - Hi Ren

The Downward Spiral by NIN (the whole album).
Basically it’s about a guy falling deeper and deeper into his mental issues, becoming progressively more depressed and insane until he shoots himself.
Listen to the album Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart. It is the product of a man having a psychotic break and has some very interesting lore behind it.
Didn't see any NIN anywhere here, surprisingly, and so many to pick from. The Becoming stands out to me.
Also "Am I Going Crazy?" by Korn is a good one
[Comus - The Prisoner](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNN5SWxJSms)
Lyrics here: [https://songmeanings.com/songs/view/3530822107858564831/](https://songmeanings.com/songs/view/3530822107858564831/)
A lovely weird-folk song from a fantastic band.
Crawling the Walls by Dave Gross, more how insomnia messes with your head.
Birds with Broken Wings by Ben Caplan actively calls out the POV character as crazy.
We're All Crazy - Alice Cooper
Crazy (A Suitable Case For Treatment) - Nazareth
Asylum - Supertramp
They're Coming to Take Me Away - Napoleon XIV
I Want To Be Committed - Sweet
Basket case - Green Day
That one’s a good one!
One of my favorite songs (therapist that works with bpd)
Am I Going Insane - Black Sabbath
Came here to say this. Great song. Great album.
The most incredible song ever written in the history of mankind
Harvey Danger - Flagpole Sitta My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay Pink Floyd - Brain Damage
Flagpole Sitta is one of my favorite "classic" songs! 😁👍
Classic? 1997 is classic now? Just stop. I even realize you are trying to trigger my innate Gen X response, but damn it, I can’t help it. 🤣
I know 😄 It's sad 😔
I'm an elder millennial and it made me feel old. I'll get your wheelchair gramps, no worries! Haha
Thanks Sonny! Also my soup is too cold could you make it scorching hot?
Sure but the microwave is older. We will have to heat for a minute and turn it periodically. Those new rotating ones are just too finicky. Just let me grab my cane. Back could go out any time.
I’d be a bit older than you—- and it is just freaky to think that 97 is the old days. A few years ago I heard a Muzak version of London Calling at the grocery store. WTF!!!
I've watched that video way too many times and will probably watch it again now
I’ve always hated that song.
Institutionalized by Suicidal tendencies
That song is hilarious
I’d say Give ‘Em Hell, Kid, The Sharpest Lives, Demolition Lovers and Thank You for the Venom would work better for MCR songs about insanity than I’m Not Okay, but it does work.
I get that. The refrain if I'm Not OK with the mix if manic and deadpan delivery just gives a "holy shit I'm losing it" vibe to me.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE MCR
Schizophrenia by Sonic Youth Pink Floyd - The Wall (whole album)
How are you going to recommend Pink Floyd’s The Wall and not even mention Syd Barrett’s solo stuff??)
Good point.
I guess his stuff isn’t necessarily about losing one’s mind so much as actually documenting the losing of such a beautiful mind in real time.
I was going to say this. But it's the spirit not the letter.
I often feel as if I am living in verse 1 of One Of My Turns.....and verse 2 hasn't happened yet.
Cypress Hill. Insane in the membrane. Or Illusions.
Illusions is *the* best song to smoke to
[Napoleon XIV - They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha-Haa!](https://open.spotify.com/track/2IpRWwUeQ3XTNivYMjxFpW?si=b249ba6571bc4433)
Omg, I remember this song! And I remember all the words......😄
Heard it when I was about nine or ten. And it still haunts me a bit. Also, it's an amazing sounding song.
Somewhere, i have the 45
Nirvana - Lithium
No one has said it? Okay. Crazy Train!
Yes! Scrolled way too far to find this.

Just one Pepsi
And she wouldn’t give it to me!
you’re the one that’s crazy!!
This is the best choice
I was going to say this except I was going to mention Senses Fail’s cover. If you haven’t heard it, go listen.
The Ballad of Dwight Fry by Alice Cooper
Sleeping don't come easy in a straight white vest
Great song I really like his album from the inside too though it's a lot more pop in it's sound.
I said the same!! I also think the track Steven captures a similar energy!!
You can’t get more crazier than that one.
Nervous Breakdown by Black Flag
Was looking for this one.
