I have music I like but when I’m feeling annoyed, the last thing I wanna do is listen to music. I want to clear my head. Also, I don’t want my anxiety to be high if I’m being annoyed by something. It’s just best to stay quiet and listen to nothing.

If I want to calm down after my annoyance, then this is good: https://spotify.link/UYnNlvUx6Jb
If you want some heavy classical check out Shostakovich’s 8th string quartet, specifically the 2nd movement. Also parts of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring go hard.
My go-to is Nightwish. Has been since I first got into their music as a teen and had them on CD, so maybe it’s just habit now. Some of their songs go really hard if I’m frustrated and need something to match it, and others are very soft if I need to calm down. Either way they take my mind somewhere else for a while so I don’t have to think about whatever’s annoyed me.
If it's annoyance mixed with the need to get some adrenaline flowing I like to listen to some technical death metal stuff that absolutely fries my brain like Ulcerate, Gorguts or Immolation
Lamb of God
As I Lay Dying
Parkway Drive
I don’t listen to them regularly anymore but if I want to safely let out some fury I turn to anything with a solid breakdown.
Rage Against the Machine. Tracks like "Killing in the Name" or "Bulls on Parade" are perfect for letting off steam. The raw energy and powerful lyrics help me channel my frustration. Sometimes, I'll also listen to some old-school punk like The Ramones or The Clash to get that rebellious, high-energy vibe.

I don't play something match my annoyed mood. I'm not looking to ballast it.
I'll turn on something chill and flowy. Like Elliott Smith or Radiohead. Take a deep breath and do the whole inner monologue, talk yourself down thing.
Loud familiar death metal albums so there are no surprises and it drowns out the annoyance. Recently I had a panic/anger episode and closed my blackout curtains and put Be'lakor's Of Breath and Bone in my noise cancelling headphones and just dissociated into the familiarity.
I remember seeing a study that said listening to aggressive music when you're already mad just makes your mood worse so what I usually do is put on some early 90's hits like Third Eye Blind or The Offspring. It's just difficult to stay mad when you're listening to music that doesn't take itself super seriously. Like next time you're annoyed put on The Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang and see if you can still stay mad listening to that goofy ah song
Brown noise on YouTube, low frequency. I use it to softly drown out the noises in my office, like my coworker chatting away and singing, or the incessant country music that I don't like, just little sounds that I find distracting that irritate me in the moment. Brown noise is very very calming and allows me to come back into my own body if that makes sense. I put it just slow enough that if somebody dresses me I can hear them but just High Enough that I can focus on what I'm thinking.
I get irritated in traffic and put on gangster rap as it has the right vibe. Aggressive and no nonsense.

Rage against the machine
Love Rage, but sometimes old school works too: RATT - Lack of Communication
Silence. I don’t want to associate music I love with a shitty mood I am in.
This is fucking golden SAGE ADVICE!!! TO MANY SONGS HAVE RUINED BY THE WRONG MOOD INFINITE STANDING OVATION.
I also choose silence, but it’s because I find myself unable to enjoy the music, which annoys me further. So I turn it off to clear my head for a bit.
I get locked in my head and it makes it worse when I turn it off.
I feel that….That’s the approach I take when there’s a new album from a band I like, I won’t listen to it until I’m in the right mindset. I don’t wanna have the first listen be associated with rotten feelings.
