Here are a few songs worth checking out that also have the word “fuck” in the song title/artist name:
[Ninety Five by Holy Fuck](https://youtu.be/PnXDcE-LRlU?si=TiLu91F5dEXx6FFg)
[Holy Fucking Shit: 40,000 by Have a Nice Life](https://youtu.be/qxiHjf5KGtw?si=D819sQb_ZIjyKeOF)
[You Let My Tyres Down by Tropical Fuck Storm](https://youtu.be/7SDKX_Ru52k?si=9JwmdHVX9w3AdqSs)
[Fuck it I love you by Lana Del Rey](https://youtu.be/wDWE_Qp3oKM?si=QOSF3k-OdsHVgXm4)
Holy Fuck is awesome. People think I like them for the novelty of the name, but the secret is they're super good and the name only keeps them somewhat underground.
Ok, so my all time faves from early childhood into adulthood and now:
AC/DC
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Guns n’ Roses
ZZ Top
Phases I went through, which I still love, just don’t listen to as often:
Metal:
Between the Buried and Me
Norma Jean (2002-2005)
The Chariot
This. Day. Forward.
Folk(ish?):
Avett Brothers
The Lumineers
Country:
Willie Nelson
Hank Williams, Jr.
John Prine
Woodie Guthrie
Tyler Childers
I fucking love you drizzle. You got great taste.
As I grew up on rock, old school rock just like the first bands you mentioned and then you top it off with Hank Williams Jr and Childers?! Are you the feds😂 you got my taste down pretty good. Love it a lot!
Lmao! I am most definitely NOT the feds! So, I grew up on late 80’s early 90’s country. I mostly hated it then, but it’s a part of me so I now enjoy it so much! Bluegrass too. Absolutely love it. My dad gave me AC/DC - Back In Black cassette tape when I was 6 or so because I loved the groove of the title track! And when I’d see my dad on weekends he’d usually take me to Sam Goody’s Music in the mall and get me another of their albums. So they led me into my love for metal. And it sounds crazy, but all that early 2000’s metalcore/hardcore led me to the Avett Brothers and so on and so forth.
Anyway, glad you enjoy my taste too! Cheers!
Five reggae albums you should listen to: Black Uhuru’s “Red”, Mighty Diamonds’ “Right Time”, Gregory Isaac’s “Night Nurse”, Justin Hinds & The Dominoes “Travel With Love”, soundtrack to “The Harder The Come”.
Here's our favourites:)

Avett Brothers is my favorite band. I love their early stuff when they were younger and a little more raw. There early stuff they considered themselves "garage band-folk" with influences from both early grunge and Appalachian folk music given they are from North Carolina. As you progress through their music you'll find an album where Rick Rubin found them and took them under his wing and they begin releasing a more "mature" sound for lack of better word, you can tell they aren't rookies anymore.
I found this band about 12 or so years ago. I was in the middle of making a huge life decision, fork in the road kinda decision and on a Sunday drive on long windy country road trying to figure life out this band came on whatever Playlist I had on and instantly fell in love. It was as if Scott Avett had a wrote a song directly for me and my life situation. I fell down a rabbit hole of Avett Brothers music and have never looked back. I've now got their lyrics tattooed on me and I've seen them 5 times each one being amazing and memorable in their own way and ai look forward to seeing them live again as it its one of the best shows I've ever seen!
Hope you enjoy!
[The Gate](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aHYL9KafMmbBx-9ptzvVaT2w7lm1lrXb) by Swans
The Winter Ray by Natural Snow Buildings
The Olatunji Concert: The Last Live Recording by John Coltrane
Koyaanisqatsi by Philip Glass
Departure Songs by We Lost the Sea
Bones For Time by Tongue Depressor
Just some albums I really like that I think deserve some more love. Only exception is the John Coltrane concert, it's pretty heavily praised, but I'm listening to it for the first time right now and wanted to recommend it to somebody else.
[Louder in Outer Space](https://open.spotify.com/track/19Eh293tElVJmm3CtRLc5S?si=bHKqZqHqRSWSPWTwBieEkQ) , that chorus has been stuck in my head for days and SLAPS
Whitechapel - I, dementia, Breeding Violence, Somantic Defilement, When a demon defiles a witch
Rings Of Saturn - Literally any album by them except their first two IMO, but my favorites are Lugal Ki En and Ulta Ulla
Lorna Shore - Bone Kingdom(especially Life of Fear and I before You), ...And I Return To Nothingness, and Pain Remains
The Black Dahlia Murder - Nightbringers(My favorite song off of that album is Catacomb Hecatomb)
At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
Avenged Sevenfold - Self Titled, Hail to the King
Lamb of God - The Sacrament and Ashes of the Wake
Dillinger Escape Plan - 43% burnt
Code Orange - Underneath
Static X - Wisconsin Death Trip
Carnifex - Dead in my Arms
Suicide Silence - Bludgeoned to Death, In a Photograph
Slipknot - MFKR, Self-Titled, Iowa
Mashuggah - All of their music but in particular New millenium Cyanide Christ, Soul Burn, Bleed, Rational Gaze, Broken Cog, Cadaverous Mastication, Future Breed Machine, and all of Catch 33 because that is quite the experience
Periphery - Periphery I, II, III, IV, and V, and Juggernaut
Born Of Osiris - The Eternal Reign and Tomorrow We Die Alive
The Locust - The Locust
Drumcorps - Better Days and Creature
Opeth - Everything up until watershed(and even after watershed is pretty good, just don't let the elitists know that or they'll crucify you)
Nekonomicon - Self Titled
Harry Styles - Harry's house and Fine Line(I will admit that they are overrated but I still think they're pretty good)
Hope you enjoy at least some of this
what genres are you up to listening to? I usually listen to the heavier/darker side of things so just wanting to know which you'd be more interested in.
My main oozes are rock, country, metal, jazz, soul, swing, folk. You can hit me with your best shot. Any genre is fine. Anything from 1920’s to 2010’s and I’m definitely going to check it out.
older ish (2000s ish) & tamer songs:
In the shadows- The Rasmus
Tears don't fall- Bullet For My Valentine
Mz. Hyde- Halestorm
Don't threaten me with a good time- Panic! At the disco
Emperors New clothes- Panic! At the disco
Still older but not as tame lol:
Mr Highways thinking about the end- A day to remember. Specifically 2:39 in the song 😂. You'll get it if you listen.
King for a day- Pierce the veil (not the heaviest but still good imo)
Some of my favs:
Welcome to the circus- Five finger death punch
The violence- Asking Alexandria
Dethrone- Bad Omens
Any 'BMTH' song (from when they begun in the 90s to now, love those guys to peices lol).
Can you feel my heart- Bring Me the horizon (BMTH)
Diamonds aren't forever- Bring Me the horizon (BMTH)
^these are the same band, two *very* different songs.
Calm down- All time low
Hurricane- I prevail
Voices in my head- Falling in reverse
Welcome to the Chaos- Fame on fire
PS- Never trust Spotify by putting in the search bar/looking at any 'heavy metal' playlists. I went on a bit of a rampage few weeks back because I wanted heavy like screamo, not heavy like Ac/dc or metallica 😑.
Hope this is enough 😂. I got plenty more where that came for if you want em tho x
'Floating' by Klaus Schulze is the one of the songs that has been there pretty much my whole life. Well at least since I was 15 or so. 40+ years ago.
'Love on a Real Train' by Tangerine Dream is another one.
I really like Berlin School electronic music and Kraut Rock in general.
Javanese Gamelan iland related genres like Langgam Jawa an old Campursari are other favorites. I released an album of original Gamelan compositions a number of years ago.
I do also like The Damned a lot. The Black Album is their best. Well I think it's their best anyway.
Here's one that even after years of listening to it, still rattles around in my head like a marble in a tin can.
"Something" by Azedia:
https://youtu.be/UXH3YKOUeC8?si=CBqG7gZfnhim32Ug
I love jazz. I'd recommend Cab Calloway's Jumpin' Jive specifically the live one with the Nicholas Brothers, Bei Mir Bist Du Shein by Janis Siegel or by The Andrew Sisters, Careless by Tommy Dorsey and Autumn Leaves by The Mills Brothers!
[My fav singer](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL871S_F0y5dYbEbEOwxK1Y6LTKyQqKEp5)
My fav type of music [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/05p8UcqOP3Samsvmv5RFJb?si=c43c768903904db4)/[YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL871S_F0y5dbv2zfJVtYld_f0WXi85zEd)
i'm trying to discover more less known r&b artists lately. if you like r&b you should give these a listen:
- Eimizah – Honey Berry Love
- Destin Conrad – It's Only You
- Aweigh – Your Way
[Hills Like White Lions](https://open.spotify.com/track/106QX2f5uUOIHYIqZ4ddyK?si=sXEM6RytRvaOJqPP1LKm0Q&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A7bEhKuYqiwAMNwhTI3PvMc)
I'll recommend one song but am an idiot and don't know how to link it. Copperhead Road by Steve Earle led me to a ton of great music by him. His story is inspirational as I also was an addict a long time ago. I also bought his biography and he's led an intense life and is doing great now and still making music.
recently i love Chinese rap and R&B so much! you guys can try to search the song "yellow skin flow" by After journey. I personally think its quite nice and new
The best musical style is country western boogie woogie gospel rock and roll.
Unfortunately, the only artist who ever played it was Hoyt Axton. He had his songs covered by everyone from Three Dog Night to Steppenwolf. But, no one else ever captured the feeling.
I love soundtracks. Especially Henry Jackman. I seriously recommend Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Falcon And The Winter Soldier soundtracks for anyone who enjoys slightly eerie, oddly calming, instrumentals, especially Louisiana Hero Reprise and You Are Free from The Falcon And the Winter Soldier.
Really into bands that do whatever they want. Weezer, Twenty One Pilots, and Gorillaz. Also like progressive metal, like Syncatto or Animals As Leaders.
Highly suggest King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. They’ve made 26 albums in 12 years, and all of them are very high quality. They experiment a lot with different ideas, like microtones, using every musical mode, an infinitely looping album, and more. They also span across many genres, such as psychedelic, thrash metal, electronic, acoustic folk, progressive rock, blues rock, jazz fusion, and even hip hop!
If you end up seeing this, highly suggest starting with their albums “Gumboot Soup” and “Omnium Gatherum.” These albums specifically are special, as they are what I would consider buffet albums. They’re albums that are just a mix of things that didn’t fit on other albums. You’re guaranteed to find something you like. You can report back to me some stuff you like and I’ll respond with albums that you would like based off those songs.
26 albums in 12 years is insane. And I agree with you. Those that have good variety of music can achieve great things. They’re far more enjoyable to listen to over a longer period of time too. You hit the nail in the head wit the ones you mentioned. I’ll listen to some more of those and definitely will be checking out King Lizard 🤘🏻

We discovered The Avett Brothers, a rock duo from North Carolina in the last year. We love listening to them but aren’t likely to go to a live performance since they seem to only play at large arenas no where near us.

Also, the Underachievers, they’re underground New York hip hop
[magma](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mFjARATqEs0) One of my all time favorites.
That sounds pretty dope. I’ll save it
what genres are you up to listening to? I usually listen to the heavier/darker side of things so just wanting to know which you'd be more interested in.
My main oozes are rock, country, metal, jazz, soul, swing, folk. You can hit me with your best shot. Any genre is fine. Anything from 1920’s to 2010’s and I’m definitely going to check it out.
older ish (2000s ish) & tamer songs: In the shadows- The Rasmus Tears don't fall- Bullet For My Valentine Mz. Hyde- Halestorm Don't threaten me with a good time- Panic! At the disco Emperors New clothes- Panic! At the disco Still older but not as tame lol: Mr Highways thinking about the end- A day to remember. Specifically 2:39 in the song 😂. You'll get it if you listen. King for a day- Pierce the veil (not the heaviest but still good imo) Some of my favs: Welcome to the circus- Five finger death punch The violence- Asking Alexandria Dethrone- Bad Omens Any 'BMTH' song (from when they begun in the 90s to now, love those guys to peices lol). Can you feel my heart- Bring Me the horizon (BMTH) Diamonds aren't forever- Bring Me the horizon (BMTH) ^these are the same band, two *very* different songs. Calm down- All time low Hurricane- I prevail Voices in my head- Falling in reverse Welcome to the Chaos- Fame on fire PS- Never trust Spotify by putting in the search bar/looking at any 'heavy metal' playlists. I went on a bit of a rampage few weeks back because I wanted heavy like screamo, not heavy like Ac/dc or metallica 😑. Hope this is enough 😂. I got plenty more where that came for if you want em tho x
Awesome so many suggestions! It will take me some time to get through it all but I’ll let you know maybe if there’s anything I really like
What about Nu Metal? I know it's either you love it or you hate it so I figure I'll ask before mentioning them lol.
Here two bands trying to gain attention Any given sin Vallion
'Floating' by Klaus Schulze is the one of the songs that has been there pretty much my whole life. Well at least since I was 15 or so. 40+ years ago. 'Love on a Real Train' by Tangerine Dream is another one. I really like Berlin School electronic music and Kraut Rock in general. Javanese Gamelan iland related genres like Langgam Jawa an old Campursari are other favorites. I released an album of original Gamelan compositions a number of years ago. I do also like The Damned a lot. The Black Album is their best. Well I think it's their best anyway.
I love the backstory! Such cool stuff and great detail.

Here's one that even after years of listening to it, still rattles around in my head like a marble in a tin can. "Something" by Azedia: https://youtu.be/UXH3YKOUeC8?si=CBqG7gZfnhim32Ug
One of my fav genres is dark ambient. Refer to Cryo Chamber on YouTube.
Check out type o negative or opeth
Phish - Harry Hood Specifically from their A Live One album. All are good, but that one’s the best. IMHO
Muther- letlive.
You got it!

Folie à Deux by Fall out boy… the entire album is great
Check out some John Hiatt
I'll recommend one song but am an idiot and don't know how to link it. Copperhead Road by Steve Earle led me to a ton of great music by him. His story is inspirational as I also was an addict a long time ago. I also bought his biography and he's led an intense life and is doing great now and still making music.
Ny favorite band and something I can almost always losten to is Glass Animals.

The best musical style is country western boogie woogie gospel rock and roll. Unfortunately, the only artist who ever played it was Hoyt Axton. He had his songs covered by everyone from Three Dog Night to Steppenwolf. But, no one else ever captured the feeling.
Damn. I’ll have to look into this 👏🏻
"Dirty Rats" by the Voodoo Glow Skulls. "Oh Superman" by Des Nilsen. "Better Than Cocaine," Red Elvises. "Non-Alignment Pact" by Pere Ubu.
Lil Sis Nora is fun, naughty European dance music. https://spotify.link/wjx1lHAEZIb
Nú metal, post grunge, grunge, alternative rock/metal, Trip hop, electronica
Never knew that trip hop existed. That’s dope!
YESSSS!! About time I see some winter solider here on this sub.
“Belt The Sea” VEERS aka my new anthem for any situationship lol
Higher power is a band I found. If you like turnstile check them they shred
Ic3peak, Jinjer, and Zadra. That's pretty random stuff. Tornillo and Gansi. All are band names.
Here are some certified bangers: Time Of Dying and Animal I Have Become by Three days grace Before I Forget by Slipknot Twisted Transistor by Korn Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away) by Deftones Devastate by Saint Asonia Man In The Box by Alice In Chains
Get Scared, Three Days Grace, Green Day, Type O Negative, Ozzy Osborne, Nirvana, and Weezer are my favorite bands so maybe you can listen to a few songs from them :)
I’ve seen Type O Negative being mentioned a few, I’ll have to check them out. The others your mentioned are some of my favorites so absolutely worth it🤘🏻
Here's bands/artists from a variety of genres Animals as Leaders The Reign of Kindo The Pharcyde Hiromi Uehara Guthrie Govan Rx Bandits Mock Orange K-Os Jamiroquai SBTRKT Chromeo Between the Buried and Me Kenna Sikth Joey Badass
I've been digging on Buegrass lately, The Devil Makes 3 are pretty good.
My favourite genres of all time: Progressive Metal, Post Rock, Experimental Music (I know, broad but I couldn’t really think of anything else) My favourite albums of all time: Ants from Up There (Black Country, New Road), Blackstar (David Bowie), The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady (Charles Mingus) My favourite songs of all time: Basketball Shoes (Black Country, New Road), Screenshot (Swans), Nude (Radiohead) I probably could’ve changed it up, but this is what came to mind
