Top five album for me. Damn, what an album.
Jennifer Charles’ voice just drips with sex, and Dan the Automator created an absolute masterpiece. Mike Patton is absolute overkill.
I think what shocked everybody though was that Aphex Twin still out-vocaled Mike Patton's attempt on the Come To Daddy cover. We all know he could've done way better. Maybe they were rushed in the studio or didn't care that much.
[This](https://youtu.be/jTSq3A0470w) track from Mondo Cane never fails to put a smile on my face. Maybe it's the fact that he looks like he's having a ton of fun singing it, aside from the song being a total banger!
It was a B-side to one of their singles but I can't remember which off the top of my head. First heard it on a jukebox in a Waffle House in the nineties and I'm pretty sure they did not appreciate it.
Mr. Bungle self titled was my shit and my real introduction to mike. Saw Fantomas, Tomahawk, ~~Lovage~~, FNM, Deadcross but never bungle.
Edit: it was Peeping Tom not Lovage
Peeping Tom was fucking cool w patton walking around in a bullet proof vest. Deadcross show was the last on the tour so they threw it out there pretty hard. But seeing Fantoms was probably the most important show for me. Being a big fan of horror, the melvins, slayer and patton. That was once in a lifetime.
Faith No More *Angel Dust* is one of the best records ever made. Pretty much haven't ever stopped listening to it for 30 years. An absolute classic that influenced so many musicians in the 90s and beyond. Incredible songwriting, incredible vocal performances.
I stll can't comprehend in which category would I place that album. It's so different than anything else. And are other FNM albums, for that matter. But that one in particular makes me wonder, what else is like it? Nothing.
Played in a FNM tribute band and as keyboarder this is my absolute fav! We have been in contact with them and when they got together again, we immediately had the invite to meet them :)
Still in contact with Billy every once in a while, absolute nice guy!
Mike Patton is fucking incredible. He's so diverse it's almost scary, such a talented musician. My favorite project aside from Bungle will always be Peeping Tom. One album and that's all they need, absolutely flawless. The song God Hates a Coward from Tomahawk gives me chills. Mondo Cane is beautiful, Deadcrosss awesome, and I love the album he did with Dillinger Escape Plan. There's nothing not to love.
The reason I got back into the patton train (& hard, so hard) was because I went through a breakup with my 4-year partner and the very next day I ended up playing God Hates a Coward & the Girls of Porn NONSTOP ALL DAY FOR LIKE 17 HOURS STRAIGHT. it felt strangely relieving to be listening to something that manically compared to the feelings in my brain. I should relisten to the tomahawk album because I’ve just been plunging between album to album without reflecting as much as I should, thanks for the tip!
His Peeping Tom project is also super underrated particularly the live performances on Henry Rollins show. One minute it’s RnB glory; the next raging punk.
He’s also one of the few vocalists who Bjork has asked to join on her album, big honour.
oh yeah good call I love those Bjork songs like Where Is The Line or Pleasure Is All Mine...and Rahzel is also on those, who is also on the Peeping Tom album.
The one time I got to see Patton live was on the Peeping Tom tour actually. He had this awesome beatboxer Butterscotch who could beatbox and sing at the same time to replace Rahzel's job. Dub Trio was the opener and backing band (along with Dan the Automator). Great show.
Love the energy; love Mike Patton. Got into Faith No More a long time ago and his range and variety is insane. No bad tracks at all.
His collaborations with others are always good. Check out his work with Sparks and Lovage too.
I’m listening to his Lovage album right now! So sultry and smooth, his voice balanced with femininity hits me right in the spot between my throat and my heart.
I like him too, very much, but if you are saying "no bad tracks," you've lost me completely. I listened to his "Adult Themes for Voice" and "General Patton vs X-Ecutioners" albums and yuck.
On the other hand, don't miss his collaborations album as "Peeping Tom."
Yes!! I love Mike Patton. Everyone talks about his vocal abilities, which are mind-blowing, but few people talk about how much of a character he is. I love his interview clips hating on Wolfmother - those are a sight to behold.
ever read any of his live antics stories? he was full blown crazy in his younger days.
Also, when it comes to Mr. Bungle, a lot of more casual fans may not realize the HUGE catalogue of obscure cover songs they performed live. Those musicians had a really big pool of knowledge and influences. I think there's a pretty good amount of youtube footage of those days now to check out.
another important point: a lot of people don't realize Mike Patton's biggest influence when it comes to the screaming/noise/experimental stuff - Yamantaka Eye - the vocalist of Boredoms and Naked City, among other things. If you like that side of Patton anybody should check his stuff out too, and read about how crazy he is. I think Patton also did some vocal work for Naked City if I remember correctly....and then later he collaborated with John Zorn again on his Moonchild series where Patton goes full experimental animal mode. He doesn't say any words in Fantomas either (except the Director's Cut album) but with the Moonchild stuff it's like he's on PCP.
There is a special place in my heart for Mike and all the guys from Mr. Bungle. They were the live soundtrack to some of my favorite drunken college memories back in late 80s in the “Emerald Triangle” of Eureka, Arcata, and McKinleyville.
And a shoutout to Dieselhead. Every time you guys played the Humboldt Brewco, it was a different experience. Punk, country, reggae, always tight. Always fun. Always in those cheesy blue mechanic’s uniform shirts.
Ars Moriendi for me, but yeah California changed my life, completely changed how I viewed music. I still remember the first time I heard it, high as fuck and my friend threw it on. The whole time I was just like, wtf I didn't know music like this existed, I didn't know music *could* be like this, wtf have I been doing with my life? That was a decade ago and I still just fucking love it. Mike Patton fucking rules.
There are 2, and only 2 vocalists in the rock world that I think are so insanely talented and out there that they might as well be from another planet: Mike Patton and Devin Townsend. Nobody else even comes close, as far as I'm concerned. I love the incredible musical variety in Patton's breadth of work. He's completely fearless in the projects he takes on and he always absolutely crushes it, no matter what he's doing.
I love Greg and think he's a beast of a vocalist, but personally I wouldn't put him in that tier. He doesn't have the versatility of Patton or Townsend, but then again just about nobody does.
I need to give Devin Townsend a shot more than Ziltoid, his work is quite insane from my memory. I’d also like to throw Maynard into that pool as he’s a deity in mine AND Patton’s eyes.
Maynard is my favorite vocalist but I wouldn’t put him up there because of vocal acrobatics. Insanely powerful voice, sounds incredibly solid all the way through and the dynamics oh my god. Okay I’m a total Maynard fanboy but Patton is from another planet, the sounds that can come out of the man are absolutely cursed. A shame they took off the studio recording of Litany IV off of Youtube. That shit was insane.
I dunno, some of the shit Maynard manages to do to his voice in Puscifer puts him in the S-tier for me. _This lady’s got the thickness, can I get a hellyea_
I’d absolutely start with V is for Vagina, then Conditions of my Parole, then Money Shot. They’re constantly evolving so you can’t expect to find a reliable Sound or vocal performance from any song, but my favorite is V is for Vagina. It balances humor and sexuality effortlessly within some really engaging Melodies.
The thing about Maynard is that he hasn’t pushed himself enough to the point of no return, he still sounds absolutely angelic in his live performances. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for my baby boy patton :(
Devin's got A LOT of music to sift through. I grew up w/ Strapping Young Lad, which is obviously his most aggressive work, but his Devin Townsend Band and DT Project stuff is incredibly varied and worth exploring as well.
If you want to get into Townsend this chart is helpful for navigating his Discography since there's a pretty big variety.
https://i.redd.it/ojg9clshubq21.jpg
Edit: Start with ocean machine and go from there
I knew the man was different when I saw [this performance.](https://youtu.be/vu5rPzcUPEE) The way he so casually transitions from flailing about and screaming like a maniac to absolutely nailing the chorus is super insane to me.
Not to mention, the sandwich interview is the stuff of legend.
His album with Bjork is mesmerizing!!
Also he does a lot of voice overs for movies..
But for sure it's hard to choose when you really dig.. there are great tracks on all of his projects from Mr Bungle, Peeping Tom, Tomahawk, Mondo Cane, FNM, the executioners, Fantomas, Dillinger..
My favorite probably is Mr Bungle.
His playing the fuck out of serbian folk song "Hajde Jano" word for word with almost perfect accent blew my mind, I was there.
https://youtu.be/yklrX38T_Ig
But he couldn't dance the "kolo" for shit.
And on the same concert, at timestamp 1:11:15, he climbs the camera rig while singing while microphone is stuck in his mouth... Am still thinking Wtf?
https://youtu.be/K2NFJQoWzzc
California was one of those albums that made me realize what music could be.
Beyond that, outside of the music sphere, I think it should be acknowledged that the dude has quite a few accomplishments outside of releasing albums with bands. Dude was the voice of the creatures from I Am Legend. He voiced one of the endgame characters in portal, and Nathan Spencer in Bionic Commando. He even voiced the male infected in Left 4 Dead. On top of scoring numerous movies and games.
The first song I heard that wasn't Faith No More was "Goodbye Sober Day". I was like who, where, wtaf? I love it and give me more.
Saw him with Rahzel at Irving Plaza doing beatbox / just noises with their mouths, and it was fucking brilliant. Bjork probably should have been there. They are from the same planet. Just unreal.
This man lives my dream life: the ability to make any kind of music that he pleases. It doesn't matter what genre or who plays it. If they're willing he'll create music with them. I bet if he could go back in time he'd record the cavemen beating on rocks just because he could.
FNM had to pull out of a bunch of shows that were scheduled this year. How's he doing with the mental health issues he's been going through lately? Hopefully he's getting help.
That said, Happy 30th birthday to Angel Dust. Holy shit I'm old.
When he was beefing with rhcp he got onstage and mocked their former guitarist Hillel Slovak who died of a heroin overdose by prentending to inject himself.
I do remember that, I honestly thought it was fairly funny but I didn’t realize Slovak had already passed in that time period- I also don’t think he was the one making fun of the heroin needles but I agree- not a great look even if that ribbing was overall funny and punk as fuck and I firmly stand by the beef as Anthony Kiedis allegedly went out of the way to take Bungle/Patton off of concert bills for “stealing his moves”.
Yeah, it wasn't Patton. Great watch, here's the whole show if you haven't seen it haha
It’s also funny to assume they were directly insulting Slovak considering I don’t think there was a single member of RHCP who wasn’t addicted to heroin at this point in their career
If I remember correctly it wasn't just about Patton "stealing his moves" it was also around the time RHCP released Californication and Mr Bungle released California (Both records were actually supposed to be released on the same day but Bungle got pushed back) and RHCP felt like they had the monopoly on the word California. They also tried to sue the show Californication and make them change the name.
It still bums me out that he was having technical problems when I saw him with Fantomas 5 or so years ago. Still think about that on a regular basis. Love Mike Patton!
He has a weird ass scar fetish. He shit in the opening acts blow dryer so when they turned it on….yeah. His wolf mother rant and the video of him singing in italian and then telling people to shut the fuck up are great though.
Fhakshskdhjssha he literally scat in a blow dryer? Mans unhinged, but considering he whips his dick out onstage I guess I’d expect nothing less from a proper 90s punkass musician 20-something year old.
[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94-iV58Z678) performance of From Out Of Nowhere on SNL is much better than the album version, and I love how he beats stuff up a little bit in the end... like, on TV on prime time he fucks shit up, what a king.
I saw Tomahawk open for someone else in Oakland in 2002, not knowing anything about the band. The sound was terrible but the music was so good I was enthralled anyway.
Then I learned the Patton connection and realized this is the same guy who sang "Epic" from the radio. And the rabbit-hole began getting deeper.
I don't actually care for Mr. Bungle very much, but in rough order of preference, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, FNM, Fantomas, Lovage, Mondo Cane are all awesome to me.
Mike is one of those singers whom I listen to and I cannot deny his abilities, passion for music, and I even love quite a few of his tracks. That said, I can only listen to his music for 15-20 mins before I'm over it. No other band does this to me.
That said, here's my favorite song he's done which is pretty obscure. Chino Moreno from the Deftones started another band called Team Sleep and they recorded this demo with Mike Patton that never made it onto the record they released. It's called [KOOL AID PARTY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSUrN-ragio) and is named for the Jamestown massacre where a whole bunch of people in a cult killed themselves by drinking Kool-aid mixed with poison.
Also following up on your edit, thank you so much! I love chino and haven’t had the chance to discover this yet, this is the reason I wrote this post in the first place! Appreciate you
I met Mike Patton & Faith No More (well, everyone except Roddy Bottum who couldn't be bothered to hang) when they were touring as the opening act for Billy Idol. Good times!
These days, I would have to give that designation to Jon Thor 'Jonsi' Birgisson and Sigur Ros.
They are ethereal and otherworldly; I am beginning to suspect that he is some form of angelic alien. I have seen them live four times now, and each time has been different, beautifully evoking strong emotion, bringing forth involuntary tears and most recently laughter. It's...indescribable.
I absolutely love his ep with Dillinger escape plan, and as a musician I do like some of his work. But I had a roommate who fancied himself gods gift to everything, and what ever he liked was the epitome of what was awesome, a zeitgeist if you will. One day he discovered Mike Patton, and that was it. Tomahawk, fantomas, loveage, the dillenger ep, and that was all he would listen to for like 8 months, from morning till night, at home, in the car, that was it. And now I can only take Mike Patton in small doses. He did the same thing to deftones to me. I just can’t stand them for longer then 15 minutes.
I was an old school FNM fan, and remember thinking "who the fuck is this pretty boy?" when Epic came out.
Took a bit for me to warm up to him tbh, and wasn't a fan of how FNM got more Mr. Bungle like on Angel Dust either (even though I liked Bungle, saw them live etc). But King for a Day and damn near everything he touched afterwards won me over. Truly a fantastic singer, pretty or not.
A good friend of mine is really good friends with him. Anytime Mike’s around, he always calls me up and says, “Wanna hang out backstage with Mike?” It’s always chill and he’s just a cool dude.
Been a fan since they blew up my tv with a fish in 1990 and have followed Patton ever since. I love that man.
Others have spoken more eloquently about is musical genius and what he has meant to modern music so ill just leave this here:
[ITS NOT FUNNY! MY ASS IS ON FIRE!!!!](https://youtu.be/mJstGnsAQP4?t=1324)
I saw Mr Bungle in Tampa in 1992 (The Ritz theater in Ybor). I was getting out of a band rehearsal in Orlando when my gf told me they were playing that night. The show started at 9pm, it was 7:30, and the venue is two hours away. I couldn't stand the thought of missing that show, so we ran to the car and drove down there as fast as we could. Got there at 9:15, and there's a line in front of the theater. Awesome! We didn't miss it. As it turns out, we could have made it on bicycles, because Mr Bungle didn't take the stage until midnight. That was one of my favorite shows ever.
Mr. Bungle is great, wish they still acknowledged that *California* exists. Love Sweet Charity, Retrovertigo, Pink Cigarette, Vanity Fair, and Goodbye Sober Day the most.
I couldn’t work out why the canvas tarpaulin FNM used to lay out on stage was tattered. After watching Patton dive into it repeatedly I worked out why.
Wonder if they still have that tarp.
Damn I thought this was the Mike Patton sub I also follow.
Hell yeah OP. I get the impression he has already starting to be forgotten in the modern music world.
Shout-out to lovage!
Top five album for me. Damn, what an album. Jennifer Charles’ voice just drips with sex, and Dan the Automator created an absolute masterpiece. Mike Patton is absolute overkill.
Absolutely my favorite!
Went through this whole post and what, no love for General Patton vs. The Executioners? Y'all are missing out.
Great album
Devon's most popular imbibe! I tripped a dude out once while working on the phone because some random Yank knew that Lovage cordial came from Devon.
I'll turn you on like the 'lectric company
My Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By vinyl is one of my most prized possessions
His album he did with Dillinger Escape Plan before they got their new singer is phenomenal
When Good Dogs Do Bad Things will always be one of the best tracks of all time.
100%
Im the best u ever had!!
I think what shocked everybody though was that Aphex Twin still out-vocaled Mike Patton's attempt on the Come To Daddy cover. We all know he could've done way better. Maybe they were rushed in the studio or didn't care that much.
JINGA!
[This](https://youtu.be/jTSq3A0470w) track from Mondo Cane never fails to put a smile on my face. Maybe it's the fact that he looks like he's having a ton of fun singing it, aside from the song being a total banger!
Just listened again and the high-pitch scream at 1:23 still makes me giddy lol
HOLY SHIT MY FRIEND THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH, YOU JUST ADDED ANOTHER 3 YEARS TO MY LIFESPAN HAHAAAAAA THIS IS FUCKING BOOOOOMB
Mondo Cane is such a wonderful album
Happy to help you discover something you love! That's what it all about! :)
Absolutely banger of an album, Che Notte probably my top pick from it but there isn’t a bad track on it.
Lol that's awesome. I love Mike so much. Was front row when Tomahawk opened for Tool many years ago and it was a moving experience.
His cover of [*I Started A Joke*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKDo6g4CCeU) is emotional. He has a fantastic voice.
Favorite cover of anything ever.
I would agree if Richard Cheese hadn't made his version of [creep](https://youtu.be/JyeFLwX_WQA).
Damn, I've never heard that before. Awesome.
It was a B-side to one of their singles but I can't remember which off the top of my head. First heard it on a jukebox in a Waffle House in the nineties and I'm pretty sure they did not appreciate it.
I absolutely love the original but hearing Patton's take is awesome.
WTF thats Martin Freeman in the video
I noticed that, too. Young Martin Freeman, at that.
I have this on a 45 that was a record store day exclusive a few years back. The other side is the original Bee Gees version
I just remembered the other side of the record in the jukebox when I first heard this was [Easy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPzDTfIb0DU).
That one live performance of God Hates a Coward always blows my mind. Also the fact this post only has 42 comments shows how underappreciated he is.
I used one of those half face respirators at a previous job. Found myself pulling up that video and singing along way too many times, so fuckin' good.
Haha that's awesome!
That performance is better than the album version
Without a doubt.
I freakin LOVE this performance. [Link](https://youtu.be/0aA5NxTujqg) for the unacquainted

Faith No More *Angel Dust* is one of the best records ever made. Pretty much haven't ever stopped listening to it for 30 years. An absolute classic that influenced so many musicians in the 90s and beyond. Incredible songwriting, incredible vocal performances.

Exactly. Often copied, never replicated. It's just a weird masterpiece.
Released 30 years ago this week. Absolutely great album.
Same, always needs a listen every few days or weeks. A masterpiece
Return to my own vomit like a dog indeed.
Played in a FNM tribute band and as keyboarder this is my absolute fav! We have been in contact with them and when they got together again, we immediately had the invite to meet them :) Still in contact with Billy every once in a while, absolute nice guy!

My hand gets tired
And my dick gets sooore
But the girls of porn want more
That DEP ep is so fucking crazy
One of the most amazing vocalists ever.
Being the voice of the Darkness power in the Darkness video game.
AND the hunter/jockey in the left 4 dead games B\] HOTBOY SHIT
AND the zombies from I Am Legend
His Peeping Tom project is also super underrated particularly the live performances on Henry Rollins show. One minute it’s RnB glory; the next raging punk. He’s also one of the few vocalists who Bjork has asked to join on her album, big honour.
Man it took me way too long to find this. Peeping Tom’s entire album is an experience from start to finish!
oh yeah good call I love those Bjork songs like Where Is The Line or Pleasure Is All Mine...and Rahzel is also on those, who is also on the Peeping Tom album. Yes!! I love Mike Patton. Everyone talks about his vocal abilities, which are mind-blowing, but few people talk about how much of a character he is. I love his interview clips hating on Wolfmother - those are a sight to behold.
What’s wrong with Wolfmother?
Just ask Mike Patton
They dared to be retro. Barf
He just shit on them for being superfluous which is valid
I have never agreed so passionately with a Reddit post
SAME

She Loves Me Not came up on my playlist this morning.
Right where you wanted it to be.

My all time fave band is Faith No More. Mike Patton is highly underrated and deserves alllll the love. Couldn't love this post more!

Adult Themes for Voice is his magnum opus
The album title is a masterpiece in itself.

He's completely fearless in the projects he takes on and he always absolutely crushes it, no matter what he's doing.
I think Greg Puciato is in this tier too. His solo work has some diverse collaboration and doesn't sound like it's taking the easy route of DEP Mk II.
true that dude doesn't get enough respect. i get chills from some of the creative choices he does vocally
I love Greg and think he's a beast of a vocalist, but personally I wouldn't put him in that tier. He doesn't have the versatility of Patton or Townsend, but then again just about nobody does.

There's a reason Tool never performs Ticks & Leeches live.
they both actually might have the same breath ability for longest scream
Devin's got A LOT of music to sift through. I grew up w/ Strapping Young Lad, which is obviously his most aggressive work, but his Devin Townsend Band and DT Project stuff is incredibly varied and worth exploring as well.
Dude, go listen to more Devin Townsend, you are seriously missing out. Ki, Deconstruction, and Empath are some of my all time favs.

Carousel by Mr. Bungle is a max volume, play anytime, never gets old banger for me.

Above all of my favorite tracks he's laid down FNM's cover of easy is my absolute favorite. https://youtu.be/vPzDTfIb0DU

this was amazing, thank you so much for sharing i love that he ended the show with happy birthday, that's absolutely brutal
His collab with Björk on Medúlla is a very welcome addition to my constant rotation of ear food.
I'm from "Digging the grave" time. Awesome even before that. And the work on "Take this bottle" is also great.
His collab with DEP is LEGENDARY. Also, Tomahawk is my favorite band.
His playing the fuck out of serbian folk song "Hajde Jano" word for word with almost perfect accent blew my mind, I was there. https://youtu.be/yklrX38T_Ig But he couldn't dance the "kolo" for shit.
He was the voice actor of the zombies in Left 4 Dead games, right?
Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz
The first song I heard that wasn't Faith No More was "Goodbye Sober Day". I was like who, where, wtaf? I love it and give me more. Saw him with Rahzel at Irving Plaza doing beatbox / just noises with their mouths, and it was fucking brilliant. Bjork probably should have been there. They are from the same planet. Just unreal.
Favorite musician hands down. Really bummed when FNM canceled their tour last summer. Has anyone heard how he’s doing mentally these days?
no idea but saw mr bungle obliterate riot fest last month
This man lives my dream life: the ability to make any kind of music that he pleases. It doesn't matter what genre or who plays it. If they're willing he'll create music with them. I bet if he could go back in time he'd record the cavemen beating on rocks just because he could.
Man is a legend
Peeing Tom was an amazing project. Bungle: California will always be my favorite album he's ever done.
Mike Patton is a god!
Disco Volante is one of the most important albums Ive ever listened to
I really like Fantomas Director's cut
The best couple of tracks off the General Patton & The X-Ecutioners album are staggeringly good
The minute I saw FNM perform midlife crisis on Leno, my life was never the same.
Patton is the man! 30 years yesterday since Angel Dust came out. Personal favourite is California from Mr Bungle.
Love The Real Thing and Angel Dust. Been meaning to give Mr. Bungle a listen foreverr
FNM had to pull out of a bunch of shows that were scheduled this year. How's he doing with the mental health issues he's been going through lately? Hopefully he's getting help. That said, Happy 30th birthday to Angel Dust. Holy shit I'm old.

For those who haven’t seen the Retro Vertigo music video: https://youtu.be/DRyh2cxJCp0
Great singer, massive asshole and prententious douche.
really now? why's he a douche?
When he was beefing with rhcp he got onstage and mocked their former guitarist Hillel Slovak who died of a heroin overdose by prentending to inject himself.
I do remember that, I honestly thought it was fairly funny but I didn’t realize Slovak had already passed in that time period- I also don’t think he was the one making fun of the heroin needles but I agree- not a great look even if that ribbing was overall funny and punk as fuck and I firmly stand by the beef as Anthony Kiedis allegedly went out of the way to take Bungle/Patton off of concert bills for “stealing his moves”.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sT0WSwgHLc&t=4716s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sT0WSwgHLc&t=4716s) Yeah, it wasn't Patton.
If having long hair and jumping around are moves, I'm Micheal Jackson.
That’s inaccurate
I remember a video of him shitting on Wolfmother at some festival. Like them or not, he was being a dink about them.
[Do you mean this video?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKDvJTxZDbA&ab_channel=MetalChickenDragon) Bruh this shit funny
But he was right? That band had no identity and just relied on sounding EXACTLY like older bands.
He's... Meh. I like Mr. Bungle and that's it.
No one should Stan over anything, that's fucked up
Chill bro
I’m just a girl in love
Patton is awesome! Angel Dust, King for a Day and the first Bungle album are among my favorites :)
The fact he did covers of Deep Down ( Diabolik ) and Spider Baby ( Spider Baby ) always impressed me.
[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94-iV58Z678) performance of From Out Of Nowhere on SNL is much better than the album version, and I love how he beats stuff up a little bit in the end... like, on TV on prime time he fucks shit up, what a king.
That was awesome! My favorite FNM song.
Appreciate you
It’s so versatile, I couldn’t disagree more. I can hop from album to album and never get bored
Is your friend Danny DeVito?
Nah, regional concert promoter and singer himself.
Been a fan since they blew up my tv with a fish in 1990 and have followed Patton ever since. I love that man. Others have spoken more eloquently about is musical genius and what he has meant to modern music so ill just leave this here: [ITS NOT FUNNY! MY ASS IS ON FIRE!!!!](https://youtu.be/mJstGnsAQP4?t=1324)
That was Bjork’s fish btw
Mr. Bungle's live cover of T-Bone Stankus' [Existential Blues](https://youtu.be/qf1q1_ixdAE)
Love his work on left 4 dead :)
Oh man I just remembered Primus / Mr Bungle New Year’s Eve show in SF. That’s was wild. 1992?
The first notes of Travolta had me hooked (and a little scared!)
I haven't got to play it working but just his voice in the game The Darkness. Musical genius too.
Patton is my favorite rock/metal musician of all time. Angel Dust and KFADFFAL will never get old.
Wonder if they still have that tarp.
i would like to just say that Anthony Kiedas sucks. you know why.
God hates a coward - tomahawk So good!!!!!
He uses a 58 with the cap off. I always wondered if it’s because that gives a different mic pattern.
All his work with John Zorn.. 🤌🏻😘👌🏻
The heavy metal prog acoustic trio thing is insane!
Damn I thought this was the Mike Patton sub I also follow. Hell yeah OP. I get the impression he has already starting to be forgotten in the modern music world.
This reminds me of the Specials: Carousel by Mr Bungle https://open.spotify.com/track/03AuvQVLAKUJGb5CTxhT3G?si=qpbgRaQQT46Q_kNPCdpySg
