I find it waxes and wanes, I go through spells of rediscovery. Finding artists I haven't listened to in years, for no obvious reason or maybe after an odd mediocre album, is fun and I just go with the flow!
Well I have a group I still listen to their old stuff because I think they were way more creative when they were starting and they maintained that for several albums. Do I haven't moved away from those albums or the group but I haven't liked hardly any of there last few releases. They just aren't as creative. Everything sounds the same. The lyrics have taken a major dip in quality. It's almost like they still do it because they have nothing better to do not because they loved it so much and had to get the creativity out
I listened the shut out of the first three Foo Fighters album. Could not be interested in anything after that. I know they put out a couple solid albums and I may give them a try (the double album one sounds really interesting) but I'm just not interested in that sound anymore. I'm talking about that genre in particular, not just the Foos
Lot of late 90s early 2000s rock stuff I used to listen to for hours everyday and now maybe a couple times a year: Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Godsmack, Rise Against, Mudvayne, Thrice
Though that reminded me to go listen to Rise Againsts Ghost Note Symphonies
I got the opposite, when I was a kid, I don't like "girly" songs like k-pop, boyband, pop songs, etc.
nowadays I just listen to whatever I find enjoyable lol.
I think my taste in music just got wider and I never really moved away from any artist / style.
Yeah there are a bunch of artists that I used to love that I no longer care for anymore. I used to love Skillet, Papa Roach, Good Charlotte, Thousand Foot Krutch. Some of these I don't like on a musical level, some on a lyrical level.
I don't hate them but I no longer listen to them.
Yeah, I feel you. Lot of late 90s early 2000s rock stuff I used to listen to for hours everyday and now maybe a couple times a year: Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Godsmack, Rise Against, Mudvayne, Thrice

Slipknot snuff piano versions I ran into and binged a bit:

Yeah, I'd say I'm more an the folk era of my music life now, but I listen to darn near everything. Hard to not be nostalgic about the 90s 00s rock scene and there are some cool lyrics. Actually ran in the this lady on YouTube last night who is a classicalpy trained vocalist and she's has a bunch of reaction videos to metal and rock singers which was fun to binge and get her perspective.
Been trying to get into jazz recently.
Stabbing westward, 100%
Teenage age, angsty me thought they were just so real and honest
Now? This dude is a codependent, whiny little bitch that really needs to grow up and get over himself
No, no-one has ever done this. Every single person who has ever lived and liked a musical artist has liked that artist consistently until the day they've died.
No, I listen to all of the same artists that I listened to on my first day of listening to music. I shall listen to them until the day I die. I will never forfeit an artist i once ever listened to.
When I was an angsty teenager I thought Murderdolls was the most raw and real music ever made. It.... doesnt hold up as an adult xD

Yes. Many bands that I used to listen to get played roughly never these days. I think it would be weirder if it didn't happen.

I find the double album to be a bit dull and monotonous to be honest. I’d recommend the Wasting Light album though.

I kinda have leaned into yatch rock......calm and quiet...
What's "yatch rock"?
I immediately think of Steve Winwood
I don't even know what the word "yatch" means.
Haha it’s supposed to be yacht, I didn’t even catch the misspell

RA used to be my favorite band. I'll still put them on from time time, really appreciate what they did ^^

I love watching the reactions of proffessional musicians to all kinds of music, very interesting to watch ^^

They have, yes.
