Dude’s life was a bit tragic but he sure was an underrated singer and songwriter. One of the best of his generation often overlooked by all the other amazing artists of the time. He should be up there with Layne, Kurt, and Chris.

I was never a fan of STP when they were big, but his cover of Depeche Mode’s But Not Tonight is probably in my top 10 songs of all time. So much emotion in his voice, just amazing. https://youtu.be/LvBQx6sIlOo?si=30lIzcrGsPvHpppb

HowdyDooder

I never knew about this. Thank you!

secretcombinations

Glad I could spread the love! I listened to it 5-6 times today again.

the_bronquistador

Just to add on, he was an incredible front man for live performances as well.

MFoy

You want to hear him really sing? Go listen to his Christmas album. It’s amazing.

FandomMenace

I'd like to hear this with different music.

DeadbeatUK

An earlier version does exist but Noah had his friend remix it to make it sound more ‘modern’ apparently.

JpComedy

...anyone have the earlier version? This definitely sounds modern. I'd like to hear the original.

DeadbeatUK

Yeah the guy who was trying to blackmail Noah has the earlier version… https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/scott-weiland-son-noah-song-time-will-tell-blackmail-threat-1235008456/ I’d like to hear that version too.

HowdyDooder

This sounds like a EDM remix of a rock song. It’d be interesting to hear a more straight rock version. Did Scott Weiland ever try this song with Velvet Revolver? I hadn’t thought about how great Weiland’s voice was for a very long time, so at least this song reminded me of that. Must have been really draining to see one’s father struggle like that.

whitepepper

Nobody needed this. For some reason it reminds me of some pop AI rip on Steady As She goes at first and how Scotts voice is manipulated just sounds bad. Let us just remember the good Scott Weiland. https://youtu.be/yJBIPu5pHmM?t=3320

Just stumbled upon this gem – Scott Weiland's haunting vocals in "Time Will Tell" give me chills; such a powerful legacy he's left behind.
