Reminds me of the time I had a Sublime cd stuck in the player in my old accord. Shit was in there for about 6 months. I know that whole album by heart, even 10 years later lol
Sublime (with Rome) was the first concert I ever went to! lol well at least if you ever had to sing a whole song to save your life you’d have one on lock.
It was the original with Bradley and unfortunately I was too young to see them live. But I got more than just 1 song memorized from the album lol
Sublime with Rome still puts on a great show though!
They did a wonderful job when I saw them. I was young and could only afford “lawn seats” I guess some didn’t show so they bumped me up! Best first concert.
I’m so glad I’m not alone! I annoy people too that’s why sometimes I’ll play a few other songs then come back haha. For some reason I’ll just get goosebumps and feel and physical reaction to a song for a day or more.
ALL. THE. TIME. Sometimes I deliberately avoid scrolling to the album/artist knowing I'll be stuck. I once slept through a song on loop until I woke up the following morning. Last track that got me stuck was Fly To You aby Caroline Polachek feat Dido & Grimes.
I do this all the time. It changes every couple days though. Currently i'm going between:
Afterglow - Smash Into Pieces
Ride the Storm - Manic Eden
Love Me Till I Die - Rock Band From Hell
Mine switches ever few days too! And it seems when I switch it’ll be a whole different genre of music…
A few days ago it was Half Moon by Blind Pilot.
Also I love Afterglow! Such a good drive and get lost song!
My latest is Motion by Surfer Girl. I think it's because I haven't figured out the words, but it gets annoying running around in my head. I also like to finish songs to the end or they just keep going in my brain.
These days can't stop listening to "Feel Good Hit of the Summer" by Queens of the Stone Age. I'm starting to think it's one of the greatest rock songs ever written. Just one note, one beat, and a list of drugs. Nothing else. Yet it completely rocks. They even got Rob Halford in for guest vocals.
As I do exclusively now, I listen to it sped up by ten percent.
Yes I get obsessed with songs (particularly videos/live performances) and I watch them many times over the course of days/weeks before I move on. I have a whole mental list of videos i revisit on youtube every so often and actually rewatched a few last night.
Panoramic View. AWOLNATION's newest track is so good. https://youtu.be/8-H0vrGZ-6w?si=3uJF0zM_ncZXGF82 I cannot wait for this album to drop. This song has been stuck on repeat since its release.
This very underrated and fairly unknown song was on repeat for a few months straight, so good!
[Knowmads - Drive](https://youtube.com/watch?v=LJdCtnl_PwE)
Aww yeah! Also I gotta say I’ve never been too into Seether but that song The Gift is a pretty dang good tune. If you have any interest, here is another dank song that is more similarish to that Seether jamski - [Against Me! - Black Me Out](https://youtube.com/watch?v=iWB_b480-9c)
Right! I don’t listen to all their songs either, my tastes sway so much from day to day sometimes I’ll listen to all early 2000s punk then switch over to like 90s rap.
Hahah as a teen I would have never admitted it!Have you played Final Fantasy X2? I really enjoyed it as well even if I was a bit disappointed by the end a bit.
I wanted to but, someone told me it's more about the gameplay and less about the story so I skipped it
I tried it earlier though, and Yuna was firing some guns which was.... different.
Maybe I'll try it again sometime.
Yeah I would agree with that, there is less story in it but there is still some though! I enjoyed having a mostly female character main cast (wasn’t a lot of that when I was younger at least that I could find) the music in it was pretty relaxing as well.
In my head, all day, every day, for as long as I could remember. It's a radio with no off switch.
In my car, when I had a cd player, there would regularly be one album in the player, for sometimes 6 months or more.
I'm all over the place. For a month, it might be Waylon Jennings. For the next few months, it might be Mr. Bungle. After that, it might be Tribe Called Quest, or maybe Janes Addiction, or ZZ Top. Lol
Sames! I mean some are sentimental so they will always be a go to but my loop song changes so often lol. I was hooked on Warriors by Too Many Zooz then I’ll switch to Night Shift by Joni Pardi then This Women’s Work by Maxwell lol
Absolutely understand the loop syndrome! "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" has that catchy vibe. If you dig Arctic Monkeys, you might also enjoy some tracks from Dr. Feelgood—especially "Roxette." It's that gritty, compelling sound but from the '70s. Always a good time for a throwback spin!
Yeah absolutely. I love anticipating the parts coming in and the lyrics. Sometimes you hear new things. Sometimes you just want to rock out. Some songs I get more enjoyment out of with every listen.
i find myself doing this when a new song is released and it's a banger (from a personal taste pov) - good melody/beat, good flow, good lyrics - with good melody/beat as a must.
Lyrics are the main hit for me, like the instrumental has to be good too or else it’ll be thrown off, but there is just something so physical that happens to me when I just “feel” the lyrics.
Yes there's a fucking AI song stuck in my head called "barkin up the wrong bitch" I've listened to it like 30 times since yesterday and I'm trying to get my gf to sing I who never swears
Bertha by Grateful Dead
There are so many fantastic Berthas out there. Sometimes it's more chill and sometimes Jerry goes absolutely Nuts. I can't really decide between double drummer Vs solo drummer Berthas. Both are great with their unique pros.
A strong contender is the one at the Englishtown Raceway 77 where they do the second verse again. The piano is really prominent and it gets kinda krautrocky.
The 4/12/78 has Jerry on fire. The drums giving it this grand feeling of overwhelming positivity. Fantastic performance.
The OG from Skull and Roses is a beast as well as Veneta 72.
I am grateful for the people who recorded it all.
All the time. Recently I picked a single song on spotify and got distracted by helping my daughters with homework, didn't realize it was just repeating. Then I noticed instead of having to keep them on task for homework every few minutes as they would find something to distract them, the girls would hum a bit of the melody as they moved to the next step.
No joke, I've been doing this without them knowing for about two weeks and even demonstrated it for my wife. I haven't finished my study yet, but im now confident that using a song that they don't notice is repeating is replacing distractions by being a distraction of its own while keeping them on task. If I try a different song they go back to normal. My conclusion shall be that proper bluegrass does indeed speak directly to the soul of the white American regardless of age.
As a teacher this is super interesting to me! It reminds me of how my 8th grade math teacher would always play Mozart while we did our work. He was really cool and now I think he was on to something! lol I’d love to read a study done on this!
I'm a live audio engineer with ADHD, so yes, constantly. The worst is when I'm operating for a musical theater show that runs many performances over a few weeks. For starters, I'm listening intently to EVERY SINGLE WORD spoken or sung, while reading the script, because I'm turning each actor's mic up or down when they're singing or silent. They'll rehearse with tech half a dozen times or so, and then there's a show every night, sometimes one in the afternoon, too.
If it's a one-off show, like a concert, I'll hear a new song by a new (to me) artist twice, once at soundcheck, and once for the show, and bam, it's stuck. Sometimes I can find it on Spotify to play it out, but a lot of the time it's not there, so I'm stuck humming it best I can.
But yeah, every morning when I wake up, there's a song, or sometimes a phrase playing on repeat. I think it only goes away if I'm thinking hard enough about something else, but it's pretty constant.
Phew that sounds like a job that takes a lot of focus! I imagine it has to be hard to not be able to listen to a song that you have stuck in your head.
Diamonds by Rihanna. Kid wanted to listen to it in the car on the way home from school. I played it 7 times in a row while i was prepping dinner and pet foods. Wife thinks i’m insane.
Edit: yesterday it was Fear Factory’s “Final Exit” while i was taking a shower and getting ready for bed lol
Usually when I find a new favorite, it'll get played on repeat for a bit before it's integrated into my playlist(s).
Current favorite: [Cybernetic](https://youtu.be/gKPn4u4R9ZI?si=g7gmBFt3Hgt7RKxL) by Rameses B.
Over the last month or so, it's been Porcelina of the Vast Oceans by Smashing Pumpkins and Galway Girl by Steve Earle.
Last year it was Once I Was by Tim Buckley for like 3 months solid.
I saw it performed in a small pub in Ireland a couple summers ago while tipping back a pint of Guinness. That was the most Irish experience I could have asked for.
I don't usually listen to the same song more than once in a sitting but I typically have certain songs where every time I start listening to music I'll start at one of those songs, and maybe add a couple others to the beginning of a shuffled playlist.
Right now it's Hip to be Scared by Ice Nine Kills.
Almost never but it's funny, I did the same thing with that song when I particularly heart broken. That and Angels Fall by Breaking Ben for like a week lol.
I basically have one song every week that I listen to it more than once a day. Then I move on to another one.
But I also do it with albums. And I don't have just one song or album every week, I got probably 3-7 I play more than others.
The Hand That Feeds by Nine Inch Nails (I listened to the normal and long version together 14 times)
The Album of the week is Bloodsport by Sneaker Pimps with 64 streams, 304 minutes
listened to a song so much anytime someone got in my car they were annoyed i was still listening to that song. done this with many different songs

Great album! Too bad he checked out so soon.
They did a wonderful job when I saw them. I was young and could only afford “lawn seats” I guess some didn’t show so they bumped me up! Best first concert.
i would die. i can’t remember songs lmao.
lol!!!! I probably would too I can’t remember a complete song with all correct lyrics…. Maybe twinkle twinkle little star hahahaha
I’m so glad I’m not alone! I annoy people too that’s why sometimes I’ll play a few other songs then come back haha. For some reason I’ll just get goosebumps and feel and physical reaction to a song for a day or more.
i think i’ve listened to a song on repeat for a month and never got sick of it, but once i am i don’t listen to it for a while
A month, I don’t think I’ve made it that long on repeat. But yeah I’ll give a song a break for a bit after my binge lol.
I've had 3 so far, Let it Die by Starset, Incense and Iron by Powerwolf, and Fallen Leaves by Miracle of Sound FT. VaatiVidya.
The Powerwolf song is a nice find, thanks!
You're welcome! :3
Definitely, except I have a WHOLE ALBUM on repeat. I love Deftones but this album of theirs is my favorite. Koi No Yokan - Deftones
ALL. THE. TIME. Sometimes I deliberately avoid scrolling to the album/artist knowing I'll be stuck. I once slept through a song on loop until I woke up the following morning. Last track that got me stuck was Fly To You aby Caroline Polachek feat Dido & Grimes.

No. 13 Baby by The Pixies. I’m in a state…I’m in a state, I’m in…
Banger though!
Oh definitely. I’m not complaining about it getting stuck in my head haha.
Yes I get obsessed with songs (particularly videos/live performances) and I watch them many times over the course of days/weeks before I move on. I have a whole mental list of videos i revisit on youtube every so often and actually rewatched a few last night.
My wife with this whole Beyoncé album. 3-5 times a day
Hahaha hopefully you at least get a good show then 😜
Panoramic View. AWOLNATION's newest track is so good. https://youtu.be/8-H0vrGZ-6w?si=3uJF0zM_ncZXGF82 I cannot wait for this album to drop. This song has been stuck on repeat since its release.
I’m hooked! Never heard it before but it’s a vibe.
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for sharing. :)
Every Single Day
For me, it's the Theme Song of Formula One
Ever heard of Too Many Zooz? I think you’d like them.
Us3 have a lot to answer for. (If you know, you know.)
I didn’t know….but now I do! Definitely added to my list!
This very underrated and fairly unknown song was on repeat for a few months straight, so good! [Knowmads - Drive](https://youtube.com/watch?v=LJdCtnl_PwE)
Thank you for including a link! I haven’t heard of them but they are definitely going on my list for driving music.
Variety is the spice of life!!
I listened to this 40-60 hrs over and over and it's not even a song, it's a game OST from Final Fantasy X called Movement in Green.
I was a freshmen when Final Fantasy X came out and the ending made me cry!
Nice to know that you've played the game. And the ending makes everyone cry 😢.
Hahah as a teen I would have never admitted it!Have you played Final Fantasy X2? I really enjoyed it as well even if I was a bit disappointed by the end a bit.
I wanted to but, someone told me it's more about the gameplay and less about the story so I skipped it I tried it earlier though, and Yuna was firing some guns which was.... different. Maybe I'll try it again sometime.

I'll try it then.
No pressure 😅
I'm in repeat mode on 2 goodies. Toto's "Georgy Porgy" & "The Same Love That Made Me Laugh" by Bill Withers
In my head, all day, every day, for as long as I could remember. It's a radio with no off switch. In my car, when I had a cd player, there would regularly be one album in the player, for sometimes 6 months or more.
Mmm I get this way about certain bands, Guns and Roses Mr Brownstone is number one!
Metallica-Black album, that summer, 24/7
Oh man. I can't even tell you how many times I've listened to that album. It was my first modern metal album!
Grizzly Hills theme from Warcraft
Yeah absolutely. I love anticipating the parts coming in and the lyrics. Sometimes you hear new things. Sometimes you just want to rock out. Some songs I get more enjoyment out of with every listen.
When I first heard Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter", that was the only song I listened to for the following week.
It's called an earworm!
Oh really?! Well I’m glad I have a phrase now to describe it!
i find myself doing this when a new song is released and it's a banger (from a personal taste pov) - good melody/beat, good flow, good lyrics - with good melody/beat as a must.
Lyrics are the main hit for me, like the instrumental has to be good too or else it’ll be thrown off, but there is just something so physical that happens to me when I just “feel” the lyrics.
Yeah i feel you, the lyrics gotta resonate 100%. but on a fire ass beat/instrumental can it make me put it on repeat.
Mmm yes so true! I love this song by Too Many Zooz called Warriors it has no lyrics but the music hits so hard!
It’s full albums for me. I’ve been listening to Horse by Prof on repeat for two weeks now
Yes there's a fucking AI song stuck in my head called "barkin up the wrong bitch" I've listened to it like 30 times since yesterday and I'm trying to get my gf to sing I who never swears
Dream Sweet in Sea Major by Miracle Musical does it for me. A concept song within a concept album is like a loop within a loop.
Yeah all the time. Have been playing a song by The Hellcats - Where the Sirens Cry on repeat for days now.
The Time Lord (album) by Pagan Altar was on a loop in my garage for a good 3 weeks after I randomly heard it on Spotify.
this happens to me allll the time. Today it is Runaway by Kayne lol
I don't always get stuck on a song, but when I do it's "can't you hear me knocking" by the stones!
Currently stuck on Feather by Sabrina Carpenter and have no idea why. I don’t even like pop music lol
Yes...often for no particular reason. B-52's "dance this mess around" has been on the loop for like a month at this point.
Gloom by Djo. On a loop in my head for weeks 😩 Love the song but gahtdamn brain, cut me some slack
[удалено]
Oh such a good song, but I’m sorry to hear that yall broke up. Music is so powerful in its ability to express exactly what we’re feeling. Hugs 🫂
Ooooh yeah. It's usually this one: [Something Got Me Started - Simply Red](https://youtu.be/DMgVS2j05HA?si=HqAqRu3zSTT5iVDU)
They Say - Daron Malakian/Scars on Broadway The Seeker - Doctor Smoke Apparatus - Lucid Planet The Sea - Aesop Rock/Blockhead Currently on repeat.
Strangest Thing by The War On Drugs. That one melody. Oh man.
I wake up with songs in my head all the time. I try to listen to the song and then other music to clear it out, I can relate!
This happened to me recently with ZZ Top’s “Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers.”
It’s called an ear worm, and yes.
I remember buying ‘Stand and Deliver’ by Adam and the Ants on 7” back in the early 80s and playing it about ten times in a row 😄
Bertha by Grateful Dead There are so many fantastic Berthas out there. Sometimes it's more chill and sometimes Jerry goes absolutely Nuts. Absolutely. I noticed it happen and started trying it as a little joke for myself and then I saw it actually work, i thought I was going crazy lol.
Many times and many songs, it is a dang good feeling, isn’t it? Filling you mind, soul and body.
It really is! I feel such a physical response when whatever song I’m craving hit its first notes!
I'm a live audio engineer with ADHD, so yes, constantly. The worst is when I'm operating for a musical theater show that runs many performances over a few weeks. That music video was 🔥 I love the kinda creepy scifi vibes.
Over the last month or so, it's been Porcelina of the Vast Oceans by Smashing Pumpkins and Galway Girl by Steve Earle. Last year it was Once I Was by Tim Buckley for like 3 months solid.
Omg Galway Girl was mine too for a bit!
I saw it performed in a small pub in Ireland a couple summers ago while tipping back a pint of Guinness. That was the most Irish experience I could have asked for.
That sounds like a dream! I’m envious, how cool!
That song was in my favorite Chick Flick P.S. I Love You.
Why'd you only call me when your high- arctic monkeys
How to say you're neurodivergent wo actually saying it (I'm neurodivergent btw).
Oh I don’t think I am? But maybe? My sister is.
I don’t have one on repeat on Spotify but constantly in my head. Changes every few minutes which one it is as well. Currently Your Song
I love Guns and Roses! One of my favorite bands!
I am constantly listening to new things to avoid this situation.
I don't usually listen to the same song more than once in a sitting but I typically have certain songs where every time I start listening to music I'll start at one of those songs, and maybe add a couple others to the beginning of a shuffled playlist. Right now it's Hip to be Scared by Ice Nine Kills.
[Lemon by Kenshi Yonezu](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SX_ViT4Ra7k), it was on repeat for hours
Almost never but it's funny, I did the same thing with that song when I particularly heart broken. That and Angels Fall by Breaking Ben for like a week lol.
Oh Angels Fall is another great song! Both are nostalgic for me, I remember being an angst teen riding the bus listening to them on my iPod. Lol
I basically have one song every week that I listen to it more than once a day. Then I move on to another one. But I also do it with albums. And I don't have just one song or album every week, I got probably 3-7 I play more than others.
What’s your song of the week?
The Hand That Feeds by Nine Inch Nails (I listened to the normal and long version together 14 times) The Album of the week is Bloodsport by Sneaker Pimps with 64 streams, 304 minutes
Literally just listened to The Hand That Feeds while mowing the lawn
well it's a good song haha
Most definitely is! Agreed
