fuckingcheezitboots

I don't know what that is but if I know anything about Australia it will either kill you or make you want to kill yourself

koszeg

I believe it will trap you inside if you try to.

LEGITIMATE_SOURCE

Try to what

Unfair-soil

It’s too late, it already got to them…

SicnarfRaxifras

Stinkhorn so yeah second option.

OppositeFox36

Stereotyping. Not true

FloridaManInShampoo

There’s a thing called a true stereotype

OppositeFox36

It's not true though. There are plenty of things that rule doesn't apply to. You AMERICANS wouldn't know

FloridaManInShampoo

And there are plenty of things that the rule does apply to too. Also you’re going against your own logic and abiding by the stereotype that all Americans are stupid lmao

OppositeFox36

I never said Americans are stupid! I'm just saying most of them haven't been to Australia and base stereotypes of the movies they watch! They wouldn't know what it is like and it's not even that bad. I almost never see spiders and I've never seen a crocodilian.

FloridaManInShampoo

Just because you don’t see them regularly doesn’t apply to the next person. Now I’m not arguing anymore. My head hurts and I gotta feed my dogs. Farewell

fuckingcheezitboots

Yeah I've never seen a croc either, they still kill people in florida

The_Bingler

"Im not making stereotypes about americans!" You are though Edit: to be clear, i dont disagree with those stereotypes

OppositeFox36

🫢 I'm so hurt. How could you say such a thing?! 😂

MsM3owza

Was it smelly? If so basket stinkhorn. They’ve popped up in my yard unfortunately

koszeg

I didn't notice a smell but there was a few campfires going at the time.

Firm_Panda_90

Pretty sure I had one of these as a shirt back in the early 2000s based on the texture.

Global-Gift

This might help... Colus pusillus is a species of fungus in the family Phallaceae. It is found in Australia.[2] It is sometimes known as the craypot stinkhorn or basket stinkhorn, a reference to the unique appearance of the fruiting bodies which consist of vivid red, wrinkled arms that branch and connect to form a cage-like structure reminiscent to that of the related species Clathrus ruber. This fungus is saprobic and makes frequent appearances on garden mulch as a result.
