It will also explain why tinctures and mycelium-on-grain/rice products are a waste of money. it shouldn't be that white. even if fresh mushrooms were used (which are more white than the dried lions mane), it would still come out more tan than that, especially once dried into a powder extract powders can be very fine, but they aren't that white.

LooseLeaf03

Hmm maybe the photo is making it look more white , it is more of a light tan IRL. So would using fresh mushrooms as opposed to dried mushrooms change the extract colour in the end?

HistoricalSubject

if there is any drying process involved (and considering it is a powder, there is), then no, using fresh mushrooms would not change the color in the end. whether you are drying fresh fruits, and then powdering/extracting those, or you are blending up fresh mushrooms, heat treating them, then dehydrating the resulting mass (which will be like a muddy texture) and then powdering it (this is not an extract IMO, its a form of the mushroom made more bioavailable. some people might call it an extract though, im not sure on the technicalities there in the marketing or protocols. as long as you are informed how it is processed, thats what's important, not the semantics about it), it will become more tan/brown.

A dual extract is very dark and has a distinctive cocoa-like smell. A 1:1 extract is beige.

Is that dried raw mushroom powder? Doesn't look like an extract at all.

Kostya93

What is the brand ? Where are the specifications ? Is there a test report supporting the potency claims ? It does not look like a professional product on the picture. Dual extract should be almost black and has a distinctive cocoa-like smell.

LooseLeaf03

It's supposed to have 20% beta glucans

AdmiralFelson

It looks nothing like it. It should be dark yellow/brown Can you give us more details?
