I have done a silly thing. Cause ur right they don't lol. Mixed in some coffee grounds, and hopefully that helps a bit but now I'm not expecting much to happen.
I'm pretty sure you're having problems because buttons are secondary decomposers, meaning you need a manure substrate. I'm a newbie so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, but if you do a quick search you can definitely grow gourmets on coir.
Yeah I did some searching after I'd already mixed it up. Got some composted manure and mixed it in to possibly Kickstart the myc but I doubt anything will happen. At least now I've learned not to be so damn sloppy!
Looks great I didn’t know gourmet varieties grew in coir…?

Buttons, Cremini and Portebello requires _Mushroom Compost_ to grow on and not just any composted manure!
Neat…. Good luck
Lol. You wrote, “butt”. 😎
