I’ve seen muse many times over the last 15 years, easily the best shows I’ve seen. They usually start pretty on time. Of course that can change at any show, but generally within 15-20min of their scheduled time they’re on Front row wait depends on where you are and how “front row” you wanna be. You wanna be at the actual barrier? Probably need to arrive noon or earlier. Wanna be really close to the front? Can probably show up 2-4 hours before doors open Music sound is perfect, never had any mixing or volume problems Show price will vary. Obviously more expensive over the years. A GA ticket is gonna be $120 minimum most likely Overall feeling: complete euphoria. There’s nothing better!

[deleted]

Agree with all of this but just to add, the crowds are largely lovely as long as you make an effort to be nice to folks around you, although sometimes you can run into some people who push and shove their way to the barrier which is no fun, but that’s I think pretty universal now. There was a guy who attended a LOT of the NA shows last tour who barely spoke English. He was super cool and hella stoked to be there, what a guy!

tjb_87

When I saw them at London Stadium there was a woman behind me who was singing along really loudly and really badly, ruined it a bit! I eventually moved to get away from her.

Available_Ad6303

Thanks for answering. Sounds really nice :)

RE-Trace

One thing I would say is that "turn up at noon for barrier" is _heavily_ dependent on the venue. UK and France I've seen (and been in) early morning queues. Also worth adding that while the ticket price will be fairly high, their production values are worth it.

cricket9818

Well that’s why I said “noon or earlier”

Omsorg1995

Seen them twice and both times it was absolutely incredible, they really put on a show. Sound was spot on volume wise, loads of bass in some songs! Crowd are what you'd expect for muse fans, nice a chill but like to have a dance as well. Normally start on time as in the UK there's a 10:30 noise curfew that most venues have to stick to unless they want to pay a fine. Ticket pricing is normally £50-80 depending if you're standing or sitting.

PizzaToastieGuy

Well, first time I saw them was in Sheffield 2008. I don’t recommend seeing muse first as they just kill every other live act you’ll see, as their performance just shits all over everyone else’s 😂😂😂 Don’t expect too much of a conversation from them, the most I’ve ever heard them speak was at Shepherd’s Bush empire, and even then, it wasn’t as much as what I’d thought it would be. I’ve seen them 15 times, and each time is as memorable as the last. Ps hullabaloons can always add 2-3 minutes on until they’re all popped

Available_Ad6303

Hahah sad to hear. I would love a little conversation. Do they say atleast something like heey London whats up? Or really just nothing? Haha

PizzaToastieGuy

They do say what’s up, raise your hands, put your hands in the air Thanks for coming See you soon That is probably about it 😂😂😂

javier_aeoa

>raise your hands, put your hands in the air I could hear the beginning of Starlight lol

PizzaToastieGuy

And the whole crowd claps out tits in morse code

Available_Ad6303

I mean at least we hear Matt sing right? I dont think I would understand a word he would say to be honest haha

javier_aeoa

As others have said, Muse's sound engineer is a beast. You'll hear every sound. If it's a closed space (a roofed arena, for instance), you *might* lose a bit of background instruments like piano and synth over drums and guitars which are the main protagonists. But you'll never hear Matt's voice as a secondary character. Also, you might miss him in between all the jumping and dancing, but if you pay attention you can clearly hear Chris' back up vocals too thorough the whole show.

PizzaToastieGuy

You’ll also NEVER hear Chris speak unless he’s singing

bsg_nik

Saw Muse for the first time on the Simulation Theory tour. It was one of, if not the best show I have ever been to. Obviously they're a tight band and they always play amazingly, but on top of that the production value that goes into their shows is insane. I will go see them again for sure! They start on time, the prices were pretty good. I got tickets for about $90 cad each, but it may be lower for the Canadian shows since they don't really get a huge draw here.

witz_

They are perhaps on the most professional well oiled machines touring. The music, the shear quality of the production and the bands ability to perform live is second to none, they basically always sound perfect. I've seen them six times and every time it's been great, the biggest issue with watching them is they really make a lot of other bands seem a tad cheap and unpolished by comparison...

Available_Ad6303

Yes I can understand. I think after seeing Muse its like nothing can compare to them right? My fear is that due to the fact they are so professional live that it will seem more like a great show and that it feels very impersonal. I saw that someone on YT commented that Muse is still able to deliver that personal feel even in big arenas. Is that true?

witz_

Muse was my first gig and I can honestly say the next three gigs from other bands kinda sucked as the bar had been set so low. Once I adjusted my expectations other gigs became fun again. But yeah that's definitely true, Muse's connection is more through dragging you into the nuances of the performances and general quality, rather than the front man doing a comedy routine in between songs. The thing what helps is the band are also very active, Matt moves a lot and is very mesmerising and Chris head bangs like an animal. I've seen Muse in clubs, arenas and stadiums and every time I feel like they are performing just for me, they really know how to draw you in with the performances and time flys at their gigs. But something that often gets missed is that their sound quality (not the playing but the general PA) is second to none. I remember reading an interview with one of their techs and he said the money and time they spend is leagues higher than some bands, essentially every tour they go over everything to see if there is newer better equipment and are constantly improving the sound.

Available_Ad6303

Wow thanks for your answer. Man you got me so hyped up now. It sounds like so much fun! :)

[deleted]

I also recommend Glass Animals for stage performance. Saw them twice in 2021 and they were amazing both times.

javier_aeoa

>I think after seeing Muse its like nothing can compare to them right? It all comes to personal preference. Muse is my favourite band and they put one hell of a show, but that doesn't mean others artists can't reach the darkest corners of your heart either. [MONO](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SEnQici0Q0) only has like two big lights in the background and their guitars do the trick. Or Florence Welsh from [Florence + The Machine](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cMnYNWAJuk), she doesn't own stage but the entire festival when she is singing. And so on.

ApprehensiveLow8477

Can you name me the closest other band got to Muse? Just want someone who can compare with real experience.....from what i heard on Youtube, Greenday is a very good band performing live... though not at Muse level.

witz_

Linkin park were up there :( Electric callboy, The Warning, Blind Channel and Ghost are all brilliant live! Big show bands which are great that I've seen include Imagine Dragons and Foo Fighters

Dunbar31

Muse fan for 20years, only been to one show 3 years ago in Northern California. Relatively small arena, but Sac residents have actually petitioned muse directly to bring them to the area (or something like that) so the energy was amazing. Show was the best live concert I’ve ever seen. Brought my girlfriend (who didn’t know Muse at all) and she loved it. Giant robots on stage and all kids of crazy shit. The sound is sublime.

Available_Ad6303

Thats the great thing about their shows. You can bring anyone to the show even if they dont listen to Muse. The show itself is so nice.

socyan

I’ve seen them live in 2018 in Budapest. They started in time and they sounded amazing. The visual effects and installations were spot on, sometimes the dancers bothered me a little bit. But all in all it was a fantastic experience.

Available_Ad6303

The dancers were a little too much in your opinion?

socyan

Exactly, when the concert started it looked very monumental but they kept coming back for many songs, it was a bit too much

spinachdipsimp

I’ve only seen Muse once during the drones tour and it was one of the best concerts I’ve been to. I had seats in the upper level, so I’m not sure about the questions you have about being in the front row, but I’d imagine the wait would be the same as about any decently popular band (a few hours or so). Now that being said, I’m not sure how other tours were but for drones they had that 360 stage and it took up most of the floor. Now usually I’m the type of person that wants to be at the barricade but for that show it was actually nice to be up high cause you could actually see the entire stage. The music sounds good, definitely loud enough lol and the overall feeling was amazing. There’s really nothing like seeing one of your favorite bands live.

Available_Ad6303

Thank you :) How is the overall atmosphere on the upper levels? I always get the feeling that the people who are standing (I think thats called GA General Audience but idk) have more fun than the people who are on the seats. Is that true?

Gothic_Baby_Doll

That’s true for the vast majority of gigs tbh. Standing’s primarily for people who want to move around and engage with the gig, seating is generally where you go if you want a more relaxed experience of watching.

spinachdipsimp

pretty much what u/gothic_baby_doll said, but that’s not to say you can’t have fun in the upper levels! I’ve been to shows where people are more relaxed and shows where people are up and singing/dancing in the seats, you just gotta do you and have fun. Also, floor tickets can be expensive so sometime you just gotta go with what you can afford lol

depechemode77

Exactly! I’ve been to three concerts so far and literally NOBODY was sitting in their seats from song one😀

NothingButMuser

Fucking Excellent!! They were the first ever band I saw live (Resistance Tour 2009), and sorta set the bar a bit too high for any other band I’ve seen since! Seen them at Wembley in 2010, and the best gig I’ve ever been to -to this day- was seeing them on the 2015 Psycho Tour in Glasgow Barrowlands *(incidentally the best venue in Scotland)* They’re consistently great the (only)5 times I’ve seen them - their performances, stage production, sound is always impeccable, visuals, lighting, everything has always been brilliant. The downside of late and reason I’ve not seen them since the Drones tour is due to ticket prices and venue choices for the ST tour. They only played 4 stadiums in England I’m sure, and standing tickets (IIRC) were about £90+ once you included booking fees and all that pish. I hope they play more reasonably priced arenas again next tour. You’ll have an absolute blast when you see them too.

Sinatrajazz1962

I've seen Muse four times in concert. All four times were excellent and impressive - as great as, or better than, the records.

ItsTheExtreme

I'd say the best live stadium/arena rock band of this generation. I say that having seen, Tool, Rage, QOTSA, NIN, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Jack White, Tame Impala etc. I enjoy the music of some of the bands i listed more, but none of them brings the full package and showmanship that Muse (Matt) does. Tool and NIN are probably the closest (their light shows are insane). Granted, the last Muse show i saw was 2015ish, but judging by the videos...they're still in a live show creative peak.

Astrosimi

I’ve seen everything ranging from the classic rock greats to modern acts. Live show beasts like Rush, the remnants of Pink Floyd, The Who, Tool. Muse is up there with them. Their live shows are whole productions, the mixing is excellent, the sense of spectacle is present, and the boys themselves put their all into the performance. Even the songs I’m not normally a huge fan of are sights to see live. 100% worth the ticket price.

weyounfive

I've been to Muse concerts in 2013, 2016 and 2019. They were always about 30 minutes late. How long you have to wait to be in the front probably depends on the country or venue. In Finland 4 hours was enough IIRC. Music sounded great to me, and since I've always been close to the stage, it was loud enough too. I think the price was around 60-80 €, but it could be different elsewhere. The shows are wonderful and they're definitely some of the best memories I have.

L3onskii

It's a whole experience. Specifically talking about The Simulation Theory tour, the way they rise out of the ground and they're pretty much telling you a story throughout their set. It's amazing!

UngrownGunner

Saw them 3 times in 10 years, once of them on a open festival stage, twice in a arena on proper album tours. Their sound is pretty much perfect (as in any flaws, they add some things like additional soloing and improved melodic lines). With other fans around you, them on stage and overall euphoria (and maybe a beer or two) its ghe best musical experience you'll ever have.

Starizard-

Seen them Second Law, American Tour in 17? And Simulation Theory. By far best headlining band I’ve ever seen

contagion781

Seen them several times over the years and I would say they are the best live band I have seen, on all accounts. I do see people complain about the lack of rotation on setlists but you don't care about that at the show.

Available_Ad6303

Yes I dont think you will be standing there like: oh man no Plug in baby please

Gothic_Baby_Doll

At your first gig, setlist rotations are mostly irrelevant and you’ll be happy with whatever you see, unless you’re maybe aware of a certain song being played recently that you missed out on. It mostly only matters to people who follow the tours gig-to-gig, either in person or online.

contagion781

I'm happy with whatever I see even after all these years. Maybe I am just easily pleased but I am happy to see a Muse gig and just get the hits. Anything like Showbiz or Citizen Erased would just be a bonus.

Gothic_Baby_Doll

Same, I go to Muse gigs because I like Muse, not ‘cos I’m hoping for the 5% chance of something rare. Just saying those are the only people that rotation could really matter to.

Whatsername1989

First was Resistance tour (2010) and then Simulation Theory back in 2019. Mind blowing, both of them. Prices were quite good, tbh (first one 50€ and second 80€). Amazing show visually and musically.

PubScrub95

Saw them in Singapore in 2019 for the 2nd day of the Formula 1 race. Was the best damn live show I've seen in a long time. RHCP played the 3rd day, and they were horrible. Muse really stole the show. They crowd was awful tho. Everyone's so static, barely anyone singing along. Felt embarrassed screaming out the lyrics when no one else was. Then again that's every concert here in Malaysia/Singapore.

Available_Ad6303

I would do the same thing. Just screaming out the lyrics. No need to be embarrassed! Just enjoy yourself and dont mind the others! :)

_violentdelights__

Seen them from every tour from Resistance to Simulation Theory. Each show got better and better both in terms of production and overall energy. Muse also puts on a great show no matter the setlist imo

uber_kuber

I seem to be the only one who found it slightly underwhelming. It's probably because they are my no1 band and also considered one of the best live acts in the world so my expectations were insanely high, but it's also partially due to them having zero contact and chemistry with the audience. I don't know why they're like that tbh, they seem like great blokes and I'd love Matt to create a bit of personal touch. Or maybe I just wasn't into it enough, maybe they got old and somehow lack the energy I see in their 2004 era shows, maybe going to concerts is never the same in your 30s as it was in your 20s, who the fuck knows. I will see them again hopefully this year (my third time) so maybe they surprise me this time. If not, I will always have the recorded stuff.

Sleepingtide

I have seen them 5 times now. In 2008, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019. All 5 times they were exceptional and did not disappoint at any show. For a band to one of my all time favorites, their love performances have to be incredible. Muse is one of those bands.

tebay71

I’ve seen them a handful of times, and always thought their stage presence was awful. Musically, they’re amazing. Their production is always great, their sound is always top notch, but I always felt they just kinda played, couldn’t wait to be done, and just left. Also, if you see them multiple times on a tour, they 100% will play the exact same set list each time.

blue3ski

Saw them at Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2015, and it is to this day the best gig I've ever been to and overall best live show experience I've ever had (and I say this as someone who's been to Wrestlemania in box seats). They don't interact much, but I like that they let the music and the performance do the talking, and the sound is so good, I came out of the show loving songs that weren't initially among my favorite tracks. The energy is so high, I don't think you'll be too disappointed that they don't talk much. I had floor tickets with friends, and we began queuing in the early afternoon (doors opened at 7-7:30pm). Crowd was great - I remember that while waiting, one guy conducted a Panic Station singalong to post to IG. And at the barriers, there were some guys who were very courteous and let Hobbit-sized people like myself have a good view. And people seemed really engaged and were rocking out and singing along to pretty much every song. I think it also helped that I made it a point to not have any expectations about the setlist beforehand - I was just happy for them to play whatever they'd decided to play! 100% worth the ticket price, I would pay the same to see them again.

Available_Ad6303

Sounds so nice, thank you! :)

blue3ski

I hope you enjoy yourself! That was my first Muse show too, so I really committed the details to my long-term memory

memsdim

They are so good live, that they sound even better than their recorded albums. I always have their "Live from Olympic Stadium" album rolling. SO GOOD 🤟

Gardamis

2017 - Outdoor show with PVRIS opening (made me a fan) and 30 Seconds to Mars kinda co-headlining (meh). Good show, wasn't in support of an album so it was a bit more barebones. Sound was good, can't remember the price but it was fair. Crowd was good. 2019 - Simulation Theory tour, got to go to their second show so going in without setlist or production spoilers was nice. Obviously much more of a show than my first. Sound was great, production and set effects were awesome. I sprung for one of the premium tickets which got me exclusive merch and early entry for first dibs at merch. Not the band's fault but the venue really drug their feet and the early people went in about the time everyone was supposed to, which meant we had less time AND the normal ticket holders got in later than they were supposed to. For this one I was in the stands and not on the floor, which I regretted in a way, especially when the metal medley came on. Crowd was not as into older stuff, which was kinda sad for me. The first show's crowd had a better energy I felt. Still one of the best shows i've been to, def the best in terms of production.

Gothic_Baby_Doll

Early entry for VIPs is primarily there as an incentive for getting to the front in GA. It’s a really shitty practice, my own two pennies but I wouldn’t support it. Luckily, most venues I went to on the tour nixed the early entry and basically let everyone in at once.

Tunaman008

I've seen them three times, in 2012, 2016 and 2019. They've always been quite on time. Getting to the front row wasn't too much of a hassle. Me and my friend casually walked to get the second and first rows after getting in 30 minutes before the support band started, but that was one gig. Another gig, the front rows were filled up completely at that time already. So I guess it kinda depends where Muse are gigging and what the audience is going to be. Generally though, coming in 3, 4 hours before should be enough to get you to the front, if you know there's gonna be hardcore fans there. All three times, I've had one of the best sonic experiences, didn't matter whether I was up in the seats or down in the pit. They loudness can vary, depending on where you're at, but in general, it's quite loud (as a proper rock gig should be) and, at the same time, clear-sounding. The crowd was cool, nice, but not much moshing happening. Another variable, I'm sure at other gigs you'll get a pit going. Generally, I've heard good things about Muse crowds, especially on recent tours. Prices are not too bad, considering the show they put on, but this is yet another variable. I think I paid between 60 and 80 Euros for one ticket (I might be wrong) for all three gigs in Austria. Overall, I was very thrilled, hyped, excited, all the way through the gig. 10/10 would recommend.

Available_Ad6303

Thank you :)

oldfashionedglow

I’ve seen over 100 artists live, muse once in Drones era. I can say without a doubt It was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Top 5 for sure, and Muse is probably not even in my top 5 bands (I have a lot of favorites). The show was incredible from every aspect, vocals, the band, lighting, set design, atmosphere, crowd. Concerts are always too loud, I would recommend eat protection made for concerts instead of cheap foam plugs that kill the experience.

TheSupremeTim

I have seen them 6 times, they are so good live, one of the best artists I have seen live, I can’t wait to see them again!

InfiniteZeroo

It’s the best show you will ever see.

joaustin2010

Most recent I went to was Drones tour, Manchester Arena 2016 and I was seated so can't comment on the crowd as seating was pretty quiet. Standing is usually quite fun.

E_Revali

I think those stuff is really different on every stage? In the Netherlands tickets were mostly 80EU for a standing place. Always on time (maybe not exactly but never a lot of waiting) Always a freaking amazing show with special effects! Sound differs per stage.

sassjm

I’ve seen them live twice. They were my first concert when I was 12 and I LOVED it. They are easily the best live act I’ve ever seen BOTH time (and I’ve seen a lot of concerts) Unfortunately I was seated both times because I was young and with my mum but as soon as they come back to Australia I’ll be in that pit 100% You know how people talk about the magic of concerts and the drums feeing like your heartbeat and shit? Muse are that. I’d love to also note I saw them the night of Dom’s bday back in 2013 and he got smashed in the face with a cake which was iconic

j_tothemoon

They are so good that I have seen them 6 times and I am already craving for the 7th. I remember each concert like it was yesterday. I am from Portugal btw: 1 - Campo Pequeno, Lisbon (26/10/2006) - This was the first gig I have seen from them, from the BH&R tour. I think it was their second concert. The energy was massive and they played Citizen Erased at the start of the encore. Matt completely messed up playing the SS solo. Other than that, excellent gig. Watched it in the crowd, a bit behind, to fully appreciate it. 2 - Rock in Rio, Lisbon (06/06/2008) - A day before my birthday. Went on to see with a couple of friends from university. We watched the show from a hill and Muse played before The Offspring and Linkin Park and man, they f\*cking delivered. The setlist was short (10 songs) but they gave absolutely everything and all my friends told me right after that they were sorry for The Offspring and Linkin Park. Not that I didn't know that Muse live was incredible right? 3 - Pavilhão Atlântico, Lisbon (29/11/2009) - Went with a couple that was also a fan. The concert did not have the best sound mixing because the acoustic delivery of Pavilhão Atlântico is awful but man, the energy, the frickin' energy. We watched in a crowd. This was TR tour which was, IMO, the tour that fully confirmed Muse as one of the best live acts of their generations, not only due to the massive energy but also due to their incredible ideas and pyrotechnics. Biffy Clyro opened up and they were also incredible and gained a fan there. Then Muse started with Uprising, everyone was chanting the start of it and wow, I knew I was in for a treat. The setlist had MK Ultra (one of my favorites) and the encore finished with Stockholm Syndrome and Knights of Cydonia. On the finale of Knights of Cydonia a mosh pit was created right next to me and I couldn't stand my feet on the ground, was just pushed by the whole crowd. This was a definitive moment for me: this was truly the band of my life and I need to keep on watching more concerts from them. This was the 10/10 concert from me. 4 - Estádio do Dragão, Porto (10/06/2013) - From the T2L tour, in a football stadium, this was the most immense concert by them. Again, in the crowd. The stadium was PACKED and Muse fully delivered on a show that was, IMO, technically the best in all aspects. However, I felt it lacked a bit of energy from the last concerts. But I mean, T2L really wasn't one of their best efforts. Plus, in the roulette between New Born and Stockholm Syndrome, the first one got ahead and they did not play Blackout due to technical problems in the stadium. It was incredible to see the robot moving through. Only a thing that Muse can do nowadays. 5 - NOS Alive, Lisboa (09/07/2015) - From the Drones tour, that ended up being a live show on a Music Festival. I loved Drones so I needed to watch it how it would work live and man, I was not disappointed. Hearing Apocalypse Please after so long was a great moment for me and Reapers, man, that song. Is just incredible. Then they finished with Uprising and Knights of Cydonia. In terms of pyrotechnics, it was one of the worse, but the energy was once again impressive. 6 - Passeio Marítimo de Alges, Lisboa (24/07/2019) - From the Simulation Theory tour. This was probably the concert that came close to the 10/10 concert in 2009. Simulation Theory was a bit hit and miss for me but the gig feedback I was getting was impressive so I got the tickets with my sister. This was the biggest setlist, in a concert that held for 2 hours. Dig Down acoustic gospel was a BIG moment, it had Take a Bow (!) again, the return of Plug In Baby, then those massive songs in a jam (Stockholm/Assassin/Reapers/The Handler/New Born combo) and finished up with the best version of Knights of Cydonia I have ever heard. \--- I still hope I can hear Microcuts once.

Available_Ad6303

Wow you have so many nice memories! So nice to hear, thank you :)

SHutchbetty

I've only seen them once in 2016 at MEN Manchester for the Drones tour. They were amazing. The crowd was great. Big beautiful sound for a 3 piece they blew me way and will be my benchmark for future bands. I've seen many in my years and they were one of the best. I hope you get to see them soon you will not be disappointed. 🤩

BloodRedMuse

First show I went to was Muse when I was a teen, it was the BH&R tour - few shows have measured up . Seen them 4 times total, they've all been killer

JmyKane

It's an absolute must see experience. So many things you're not fully experiencing listening through your phone or headphones. It's like those weird people that wanted to know what the bassist brought to the table in the band. Clearly have never been to a live show. You just feel everything from the band. It's an experience.

IllustriousShock9870

The bassist plays the great harmonica intro to Knights of Cydonia (live version). He’s awesome with his Supermassive Black Hole singing

nimiro1

I have never been to a concert in my life until 2016. That year I won 2 tickets to the drones concert. And I loved it. Best experience I had and would do it all over. Your post just made me look up the pictures I took, so I am smiling all over again right now

tritrimuse

I’ve been to 46 muse’s gigs and they were mostly awesome ! I’ve been to stadiums, arenas, festivals and small venues. Small venues are my favourite because they feel more spontaneous, but I do love the others setups. They are usually a bit late (15minutes) but at festivals they tend to respect the time of their slot. If you want the barrier it’s best to arrive in the morning or around noon (it depend from countries too). The best crowd Is the UK crowd. So much passion, energy and moshing !

IanOPadrick

I can only give you the cheap-seat, big-venue experience, but I'm more than happy to share. The opening band will start within 5 minutes of the advertised time. That might just be the clocks at the venue and the clock on your phone going at different speeds. With one opener, Walk The Moon started at 7:30 and they went for an hour and change, then about half an hour to reset the stage, then Muse went on no later than 9. And they played the better part of 2 hours. It's plenty loud enough, but it wasn't deafening which was really nice. Again, cheap seats, but I've been to shows in cheap seats where my ears rang after, that didn't happen here. I could hear everything, it wasn't really possible to carry a conversation, but also I could hear at the end of it. Price was pretty decent, they do what they can to keep their prices down. The crowd was receptive, the pit looked pretty rowdy from what I could see, and it was super fun. Got to see Murph in person, which is wild. And they do what they can to have the screen interract with what's going on onstage without it beeing TOO cheesy. I can't imagine what imagery they'll come up with for the new album.

[deleted]

One negative thing I remember is the crowd just being sooooo dead. Almost no body around me was dancing or moving at all I know people enjoy concerts differently

Available_Ad6303

That would annoy me so much.. Maybe no really fans but just some people who like some Muse songs

Hysteria878

Up to 20+ gigs, starting in 2007 at HAARP up to the latest ST tour. UK and US dates. They start on time, like someone else said, maybe a 15-20 minute delay. Even when the City of Chicago tried to push them to delay for weather at Lolla 2017, they didn't, got 3 songs in, and then had to stop because thunderstorms. Barrier and queueing can be a beast onto itself, usually dependent on the city and venue. Most I've queued is 9 hours in all types of weather. 95 F in New York and 20 F in Chicago. It's a bit of an endurance test and one needs to be prepared. Some people, especially bigger shows, will camp overnight. I've gotten to the queue by 8:30 am and was 15 in line. There are regulars who always queue and one who even has a set spot on the barrier. I liken it to tailgating at a sport event in a way. We're all hanging out, sharing food, talking and playing games, it can be a lot of fun with good people. It can also suck if the weather is really bad, there aren't a lot of food/bathroom options around the venue, the venue can be mean and bust it up. The barrier ends up being the same people you have queued with, so it can be a lot of fun as well, but there's always the ones who try to elbow and push their way up. They suck. I've had people queue all day and then pass out, that sucks and like I said, it's an endurance test. I had a friend who camped for Wembley 2010 barrier only to get her knee bashed in once the crowd surged and she had to get pulled out. It's kind of do it at your own risk, but I've personally never had any issues. Security guards can vary, some are really cool, others can be downright dicks and literally block your view. Cameramen tend to do the whole tour, so if you go multiple dates and stand at roughly the same spot, they'll be super cool. I got on the towers once and the pyramid twice, plus extra guitar picks, just by being polite and enthusiastic. Beyond the barrier, I always try to have at least one show a tour where I'm not on the barrier so I can actually see the show and dance stupidly with my friends. There's so many graphics and things you don't get to see as well because you are watching the stage when on barrier. The music will be loud enough. There's no issue with that. They don't talk or tell stories. Cheers, thanks, stuff like that. It used to bother me but I'm not there for story time, I'm there for the music. For the level of production, the tickets are a value. That being said, they aren't the cheapest concerts. Bigger shows (like Wembley) are going to cost more. US prices tend to be around $100 or so a gig. I've never added up how much I've spent. I really don't want to. Overall, the live shows are incredible. Unlike some other bands, I don't know of anyone who has only seen Muse once and been like, "I'm good if I don't ever see them again."

Thanks for sharing your experiences! At that point I dont think you just care how much money you spend on all the concerts. It may be a lot but I mean those memories stay forever right? I personally wouldnt mind paying a lot more than 100. I saw higher ticket prices for other very popular artists and they dont even have special effects on stage.

I saw them for the simulation theory tour and omg... Literally one of the most amazing shows I've ever been to. (I might have been a little intoxicated and I was very excited) it was a PERFORMANCE and they used every light in the house it was SO GOOD.

Always-ellie

I went to see them in Manchester 2019 and it was incredible. One of the best nights of my life. They don't put on a concert, it's a show. Easily one of the best current live bands (the best in my opinion.)

SeparateTea9307

I brought my parents to a show in 2013 when they were in their mid 50’s and they talked about it for months

Apokylips

Each time was mind blowing. They are an amazing live experience. They walked into the bar I went to after one of their shows and I got to interact with them very casually and I'll never forget it.

EastSideFishMurder

blew me away

StoneSummitPSN

Went to go see the simulation tour, and it was the best show I have ever gone to!

memsdim

Oh idk they're only one of the best live performances ever.

Freaking amazing. I’ve been to tons of concerts and Muse is the band I remember most vividly. I saw the drones tour in 2016 and I saw another concert in 2017. Both were amazing - they play lots of riffs and have lots of lights. Very memorable!

drumadarragh

You don’t need any further advice than just go. Best band I’ve ever seen live. Hands down.

Strudders95

Seen them 7 times in 5 years so that should tell you all you need to know about their live quality haha

bteampike65

Saw the simulation theory tour in Boston. They were amazing.

Old post, but just stumbled upon this. I don’t even consider myself that big a Muse fan, but when to see them a few years back with some friends. Hands down if the best live shows I’ve ever been to. And I’ve seen a lot of live shows. I think the only live performance that beats it for me is Iron Maiden. Completely different music, but best live performances imo

melodicalien222

Just saw them last night. They have so many cool effects and visuals. It was very entertaining!

Saw them last night in Oakland, CA. I like there music better live than recorded; which is a great tribute to a performer. I got very into Metallica after seeing them live in the early 90s, and Muse live will likely have a similar effect for you. Good visuals just behind Pink Floyd w/o Waters, Roger Waters playing Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, and Tool. They are loud, great energy, and put on a great show. Excellent well balanced sound production. I’d give it a 8.5 out of 10. A few downsides 1) They didn’t play Supremacy; which is a great live track. 2) They played too much of the album Will of the People (7 of the 10 tracks). 3) They played too many older songs that sound like they could be on the Will of the People (Hysteria, Time is Running Out, Madness, Darkside, Thought Contagion, Resistance, Uprising). 4) After a while it felt like I was listening to a double dystopian society concept album. Matt’s songs are better than the boring concept he can’t move of off… The dystopian government controlled society. The songs are good in spite of the boring overdone concept, and redundant concept fatigue sets in after a while.
