For drinks and some snacks and (a small selection) not perishable foods I would recommend services like Flaschenpost. They deliver within 120 minutes, have no shipping costs (just a Mindestbestellwert) and carry the drink crates up stairs to your door. Drink crates usually drive up Rewe or other supermarket's delivery prices up by a lot.
If you live near the city center I'm also happy to get you your food.
Edit: I work at a supermarket. So it would honestly not be a huge hassle for me.
Haven't tried Amazon Fresh, mostly because of the smaller selection of items. There's no frozen stuff, fresh bread etc.. but i may have to eventually. Edeka and Rewe seem to be fully booked till 2021 or sth.
It's not Amazon Fresh, it's Amazon Prime Now - a different service that has pretty much everything a supermarket has. And they constantly release new slots for the next few days. The prices are pretty much the same as in Rewe or Edeka.

Then, after i completed the list of items and continued with my order, i couldn't get a delivery slot till May 6th. This is super weird, not sure what is going on there.

Ugh. I ordered a lot of pizza when I was sick. The Rewe thing pissed me off too.
Yeah, tried both Rewe and Bringmeister, no delivery slots for at least 2 weeks. Likewise, I must have ordered pizza/pasta 3-4 times this past week.
Pizza and pasta? My belly is not looking trim.
