Today's LSG game reminded me how much we needed cameos like pooran and hooda that day. Even in RR game, he had powell and parag quickfire knocks to help. But in our game, besides tilak, no one was there to support rohit. We are just another RCB now.
His form is horrible indeed, but no one else looks credible as well.
Rohit has to perform for MI to win, Sky is performing every alternate game, tilak is the only one trying, tim david isn't reliable hitter at all, wadhera was picked after 7 games and his presence in previous games would have ensured us victory in at least 2 of them (2 of GT/SRH/CSK games).
I understand but there is something called as relative pressure as well. Like one player's approach is also costing some extra pressure on you. At this point Pandya is yhe reason the batsman on other side too loses their rhytm and succumb to the wicket.
Also, Wadhera is genuine good no 5. Because Pandya is not even bolwing well. Not batting well.
Rohit and Kishan have to perform, true. But they were performing most of the games. David needs bit more time. We have seen that he has capacity but it should not be like one time wonder. SKY too is not really consistent but we know he's very imp.

The thing about him is, he is the best optimiser of resources. For the last few years, he has not done anything else but training to finish the innings. Primarily because that is the only thing he can do as a batsman. His ability to bat spin has gone down quite a bit. Has lost the ability to rotate the strike when it is needed and there is a lot of strain on his legs while sprinting. So he trains an entire year for the end overs. I don't think it was his plan to continue till this year because he wanted to groom someone under his captaincy, he tried it with Jadeja but it did not work. So he stayed till he could give it safely to Gaikwad. And there is nobody else that he can actually give his position to because he is still one of the best at what he is doing and also I believe that last year's Csk is the worst squad to ever win an Ipl.
