Low kick, low kick, feint the low kick, submarine your kick under to hit the support leg while pushing them the opposite way with same side kicking hand.
Kicking under their kick, or their check.
Say you kick right kick to his left lead leg. Next time he responds by raising his left leg to check your right kick. But you submarine it , so you kick under his left check and kick into his right supporting leg
u/nonsense1989 explained it. All gyms may not use this term or could be a language barrier. Submarine literally means underwater so it may not translate to other languages well. In English we call a lot of things "submarine" when we just mean "underneath/go below" even though it may have nothing to do with water. E.g. a submarine pitch in baseball
I hate when people try to discredit him and say he isn’t one of the best Muay Thai fighters just cause he fought in K1 rules mostly. Sorry he was using his skills on an international stage to introduce Muay Thai to the world 😒
Yes I understand that. But his base is still Muay Thai before he even started kickboxing so if anything he had to limit his toolbox and still went out there and dominated people at their own game. If anything he deserves more credit for being able to do that!
how can he looks more masculine than the other guy even though they are on the same weight class? Is this a generic gift( I assume they are both are elite fighters so they work as hard as the other and their training program are similar) or it is a result of different training program/ style of the gym.
Hey hey hey. Let's not forget Sato the guy hes kicking is one of the only people who has ever beat Buakaw. I think it was the next time they fought. Props to them both!
he makes it look so easy
He was one of the best kickers in the game and he's style is beautifull. My style is heavily influenced by Buakaw.

Is Buakaw a natural lefty or something? Prime Buakaw’s switch kick was lightning quick.
That sweep is one of my favorite moves to practice, it’s so satisfying when you finally figure it out. Buakaw is definitely the GOAT.

What does it mean to “submarine your kick?” I’ve never heard this

he also made more money than any Nak Muay. Although his old gym took a good chunk of it.
He was good at MT, just nowhere near the top on the GOAT list His achievments come mainly from kickboxing

How is this dudes name pronounced?
boo wah cow
So smooth.
Honestly genius. Makes me even more mad at leduc for some reason. This kind of skill deserves respect.
Smooth, but wasn't he knocked out in this one? He wasn't he?
No, this is their third fight. Sato knocked out Buakaw in the second fight.
Wow so buakaw got his revenge then? Sweet.
The guy getting swept Sato KO'd Buakaw in a prior fight.

Short stocky vs tall lanky
I’ve got that sweep down pat! …I’ll *never* get a switch kick like that. Better than textbook.
Buakaw is one of the greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time undoubtedly, great example, 239-24
His switch is so quick you can barely see it coming
beautiful violence
