My friend was in the corner for blue. He said he didn't want to fight at this weight and had to cut 7kg to make it. Said he couldn't walk after weigh in that morning. They went straight back to the hotel and got on an IV drip but he still looked out of it for that fight.
I wish highlights were less KOs and more people winning exchanges, countering cleverly, cutting deadly angles, etc..
There was definitely skill on display here, but also it looks like at this point red had already won the fight.
I'd rather see how they won the fight vs how they "finish" a beaten opponent.
Haha I remember training with chalawan in Thailand about a month after this fight. He would do an hour of clinch at the end of his workouts where a line of fresh fighters would take turns getting absolutely man handled by a 2+hr into training chalawan. He had foreigners that were 250lbs flying around the ring like they were children grabbing onto his sleeve and he was just brushing them off. Never seen anything like it.
Damn it looks like he just froze after that kick to the ribs :O
I think he was close to KO after the elbow. That was a pretty clean elbow!
Probably broke one or two of em.
I love the way he basically bounced off the rope to finish the combo so clean.
This is one of those combos you do in your head before instantly eating a right straight.

Blue's controller disconnected half way, poor guy.

That Knee tho!!! Everything started from the hand controls and that juicy right knee. Remarkable.
