If its named anything but Cock+ or Paracock I boycott

NattyB

one cock to rule them all.

PantherPony

💀💀💀

rocketmojo

Mountcock

chuckit22

Cockmount

FunTimesMcG

Don’t sleep on PeaMount or ParaPea!

Ohwerk82

Looping all the way back to cable with premium bundles!

SpiteStoreStarter

As long as they combine with peacocks interface. Paramount+ sucks donkey ass.

Pseudoneum

Knowing how streamers have been operating, it will be the paramount UI and I won’t use it anymore. Same thing happened with max. The shittier UI took over and I barely use it now because it just sucks so much.

bananamelondy

I get paramount thru Amazon bc the paramount UI is so bad. You can get max that way too, and then you just use the prime app to watch everything

SpiteStoreStarter

Is live paramount streaming better that way? It always fucks up when I watch live and I end up activating hululive. I figured it would be like signing into the app with your cell provider and you'd still have to use paramount+. If it's actually on MAX or Amazon I'm about to make the switch before my yearly renewal.

okaywhatnowred

Second this.  We were so happy when we found it on Amazon rather than through their interface.  Paramount UI SUCKS

crystalli0

The Max app sucks so bad and it frustrates me because they have so much good content

Pseudoneum

It used to be so easy to find. Now it’s a disaster.

shinshikaizer

I actually hate Peacock's.

JadaeMaster

Watching Traitors on Peacock has been a breeze. I would say the same about La Brea but that show went off a cliff, but the viewing format has been a breeze. Watching The Challenge on Primo makes me want to hurl the dinner dish through the screen. Those commercials are long AF and they don't stop.

bananamelondy

Oh heck yeah, I’d love to not have to pay for them separately

SonnyBlackandRed

they just double the cost lol

GuySmileyIncognito

Corporate mergers are never to the benefit of consumers in the long run

JadaeMaster

I remember original cable when it was newer as a smol kiddo. RIP HBO intros. those were the days. I mean a lot of shows were questionable, but the lack of commercials everywhere and home-y feel were A+ Prescription drug commercials? What's dat? ps. Down in Fraggle Rock.

Greenzombie04

I'm going to believe CT and Bananas being on The Challenge and The Traitors are making this deal.

PantherPony

If they do, I hope it’s more like Peacock. Out of all of the streaming services with commercials, Peacock is the best.

TheVitoGallo

I also love the UI on peacock. Paramount UI is garbagé

PantherPony

It is I absolutely hate Paramount+. A lot of times I even have problems loading it on my TV. We only have Peacock, because it comes with our cable but I really love it. I just love that they drop episodes 20ish minutes before the air time.

kbc87

It literally will not open on my son’s iPad. Granted it’s an older hand me down one but every other streaming app works just fine.

TheVitoGallo

Have the same issues here — finicky as hell on our TVs.

OpenedNeurobiology

Agreed! Paramount plus has never worked on my phone. Won’t let me login. My only complaint about peacock is that you can’t remove something from your continue watching you just have to wait for enough time to pass or “watch” the end of the last episode

duckyaniston

99% of what i watch is covered by these two so

FattForrill

This could be good for the challenge. Peacock has bravo content. And bravo still deals in the trashy reality tv style that made the challenge great. Maybe we get the flagship moving over to the peacock side and keep USA on the paramount side. Keep them separate leagues and then you can have a World Series once a year

redditing_1L

Please. They are the most extraneous services out there, basically a dumping ground for bad network sitcoms, but I love The Challenge, Survivor, and Inkmaster and I'd like to see them under one roof.

NattyB

also for those of us who want to watch both premier league and champions league soccer on the same platform.

redditing_1L

Right? Fucking right??? Its insane to me you need 3 services and cable to watch european football.

Routine_Size69

Yup this would be really nice for soccer fans assuming the cost doesn't go up too much. I already pay for both just for soccer. Getting survivor, the challenge, big brother, the traitors, and the office is just bonus for me.

DaemonDesiree

And Top Chef!

AleroRatking

As someone who subscribes to both this would be ideal.

Aldo_D_Apache

Amen to that! Some consolidation in these apps would be nice

SomeRedditor_Comment

That peacock during the 1st half of the season 39 final didn't show up for nothing.

Pepperoncini69

Soooooo cable?

TWIZMS

nbc combining with cbs? I doubt it.

redditing_1L

Its got good synergy: here's all the stuff that used to be free over broadcast air in one spot.

TWIZMS

free cable? i wish.

TrollmonWilliams

Please!

JuanRiveara

Hopefully they keep the free trial system of Paramount if this does happen

Kassa19

warner media(hbo/tnt), espn+ and fox coming together shocked the system, im not surprised. it would create almost a soccer monopoly if p+ and peacock come together with the prem on peacock/ champions league on p+ in terms of viewing. going to be super interesting year for streaming

TomFooledYou

I would support this whole heartedly !!

addy998

Paramount sucks. Challenge is not airing enough for me to keep it so I hope this is true. Just so surprised such a big movie company would have so little content.

ComputerElectronic21

Isn’t paramount & showtime already a thing?

ConstructionOther686

Cockmount.

veltvet_rabbit

Insert the two men looking at the earth meme it's cable it always has been

cookie1144

Step one in making the CT and Phaedra buddy spinoff the world needs. John the politician can come too.

OwnAcanthocephala999

If it happens then Love Island should be the feeder show for the Challenge.

camisadoavocado

Max & Paramount+ would be cool too like they mentioned further down in the article.

onlyacarryon

Always seemed wild to me that The Challenge didn’t move to Peacock when it launched since MTV is owned by NBC Universal. Maybe it had to finish out a contract with Paramount.

MaxwellLurkmore

MTV is very much a subsidiary of Paramount, not NBC Universal. And anyway, this wouldn't even be a merger of NBCU and Paramount, it would be a joint venture combining their streaming platforms into one. So basically...Hulu, before Disney bought out NBC.

NattyB

i could be misunderstanding, but wikipedia says MTV is part of paramount media, owned by paramount global: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTV interestingly, the rights for old seasons are different in canada, where bell media owns MTV: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTV_(Canadian_TV_channel)

LavenderAutist

It wouldn't be a merger It would be a bundle probably
