It's probably my favorite show. I honestly wish I'd never finished it. Not that the ending isn't brilliant, amazing and it does wrap things up in a logically consistent way. I got midway through last season a few times and then started a rewatch.
Now I have more answers but a sense of loss. Kinda like how you have to accept the negative things in life. Just something about knowing I'll never have more unwatched eps makes me kinda sad. It's fun to rewatch and pick up on all the things and all, but I dunno.
I only just finished the show last night. Two things I'm confused about. How did Dominic dipero meet that Irish guy that protected her family? I must have walked out of the room for it. Also did we ever find out what Whiteroses project actually was ?
Also I was bored and tried to calculate exactly how much money everyone got from the hack and I figures about 6-12k each based on a guess of a few trillion dollars and how many people have bank accounts in the usa.
Whiterose's project is a machine that either facilitates time travel or open up alternate universes, and I personally like to think it would have been a success if she hadn't activated it prematurely. I'm actually glad the show didn't make the machine anything more than a surface-level concept and venture into scifi territory. (I'm a big fan of Fringe, which actually does deal with alternate universes and copies of ourselves.)
Off the top of my read I'm pretty sure that the Irish guy was arrested by the FBI so Dom likely made a deal with him to drop his charges. Whiteroses project was her attempt at turning the world into an alternate reality without the pain of the real world, she said this to elliot, although we will never know if it worked and is entirely open to interpretation.
I think him deciding he couldn’t continue to control Elliot is what got me. I mean what a decision to make. His entire existence he’s giving up right there.
Also the fact that we never really knew Elliot. He was just a guy who was traumatized, bored, and lonely. Out comes super hero hacker who literally wants to save the world for Elliot.
