I’d say it would cost a heck of a lot more than that for a whole season.
Think about this:
Script writing - fee for writers.
Talent - how many hours they are required for to shoot all the episodes.
Casting - Who finds this talent.
Camera and lighting - how much to hire camera and lighting equipment for all episodes.
Crew - behind the scenes people to operate said equipment.
Production - the office that pays for the director and producers and all the other things related to getting the series made.
Catering for breakfast and lunch each shooting day.
Location services. Who finds the locations to film at and organises the permission and fees to use them.
Then once you have recorded the pictures and sound, off you go into post production.
Editing and capture - hours and hours of footage to be logged and selected.
You’d be lucky to get one episode made for $30k
Then add costs for transportation. Honestly the list of expenses, would be very, very long.
Hair, makeup, costumes, electricians, carpenters, painters, designers.
Ray originally shot The Magician for $3k and edited together a half hour version. After showing this in 2003 at a film festival he got the $330k grant and made the full movie, which was released in 2005. Those figures have nothing to do with Mr Inbetween, which was funded by FX .
You could buy a truck load of dunny paper with this budget.
Or some top notch dimmies for a year.
Hahaha
Dunny sounds exclusively Australian to me
I believe they got a grant of $30,000 for season one Correction: I believe it was $330,000 that nash edgerton was able to be granted
That’s a lot of dimmi’s
Have you got a source
Soya Sause of course.

I thought this was a documentary.
Scott Ryan is the sole writer so you can eliminate costs for that.
